NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
bobobonators replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. The Jets have a great defense. 2. the weather was bad. 3. we had a couple of drops. Those 3 things alone probably account for 95% of the issues we had on offense in the first half. -
I thought 10-3 would feel better...

It’s the NFL. The dolphins just lost to the chargers. The Chiefs almost lost to the Broncos - what an ugly win. The cowboys almost lost to the Texans! The money line in that game was -2,000 Cowboys! They barely squeaked one out. The Vikings just lost to the Lions We have beaten the best teams in the AFC. Our losses are all nailbiters and mostly self-induced. We are elite. Stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole by thinking otherwise. Every team has flaws. Just watch the games every week and you’ll clearly see how flawed they are. -
So, is Elam playing this week?

This is kinda confusing -
Bc he gave them the best chance to win. They cant lose anymore games and they’re trying to make the playoffs

NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread

Rousseau stepping up! Tough game. On offense, we continue to make too many mistakes by the way of drops. We need to clean that up and I think we will. Just keep winning. Go bills! -
Other teams won’t care about OBJ either. This exact time last year teams didn’t care about Amon-Ra St. Brown either. Until they were forced to care. My main overall point is that the likelihood of Shakir being able to produce at a higher level is likely higher than that of a 30yr+ old receiver who has 2 ACL tears in less than 2 yrs.
-
OBJ is a walking straw man. Literally. Two ACL injuries in the same knee. And hes 30+
-
Is there any proof that OBJ, at this moment, is any better than Khalil Shakir? No, there is not.
-
Im not flogging anyone. Hes near the top of the league in drops and some of those drops were ugly. This is may be the first time I’ve commented on Davis’ drops on this message board, so relax. Im not the guy who comes here after a win and demands everyone be fired bc it wasn’t by 30pts (not saying you do).
-
That was ugly to watch. You could say if he makes 2 catches on that video we only have 1 loss this season.
-
I get OBJ is a good player. But this dog and pony show is getting kinda ridiculous. He’s not Jefferson. Or Diggs. Or Chase. Or Tyreek. Hes a good WR when fully healthy but some teams are courting him like he’ll completely change a game by himself. 2016 OBJ could. That was 6 yrs ago. Might as well be 60 yrs in nfl yrs You and I basically thought the same thing at the same time.

Back to back road games for White. He will turn the ball over. We must capitalize. If so, we win by 10+. Wilson is certainly NOT the best WR on both teams. Or were you referring to Jets/Pats? -
Beat the Chiefs, Ravens and Titans, too. 3 of the better teams in the AFC.

Yesterday’s hurdle into a crowd of defenders doesnt scream “I know what I’m doing”; it’s more instinct - I’ve done this before I’ll do it again. Past performance does not guarantee future success (re injuries) This is not criticizing Allen. We all just want him to have a really long career. And ultimately the argument isn’t “don’t run” Allen. It’s “run but when the situation clearly calls to slide - slide”. Those are two different arguments.
-
His aggressiveness is part of what makes him great. We want him to be aggressive. We want him to run. However, there IS a fine line between aggressive and careless. Trying to plow over a corner 1on1 to get into the end zone is aggressive. Low risk. High reward. Trying to hurdle a group of LB/DL that are all almost all the same size as Allen to gain one extra yard is careless. Really effin Cool, but careless. I never want Allen to lose his aggressiveness - but AT TIMES he needs to learn to rein it in and slide 1 yrd earlier.

Week 13, 12/01/2022, Bills v. Cheats, GAME BALLS
bobobonators replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hard to give out game balls this week bc this was a big team effort. I could list a dozen players that had a good game. No one was head and shoulders great. I enjoyed this win. -

Much like Sky Moore on the Chiefs, it’s kinda hard for rookies to make an impact on a loaded roster of a Super Bowl contender. Even if we are down a WR or two… unless Davis and Diggs are out, there simply isn’t the target share to go around. Add in the fact that we’ve been trying to run more and throw less the last few weeks and it makes perfect sense he’s nowhere to be found. Diggs/Davis/McKenzie/Knox are the passing offense. -
Agreed. Every team has injuries. Last week the Chiefs went to LA and were down JuJu and Hardman, and Toney then went down after one play. Thats 3 starting WR out for the game. Watson and Kelce stepped up and they left LA with a last minute Win.
-
the point is, there should be no reason for fans to be a-holes. These players aren’t robots. It’s not going to be 350yds passing and 4td every week. Allen’s trajectory isn’t going to go infinitely upward. There will be ups and downs within the season and his career. Many “fans” on this site have been immature, fair-weather, and downright embarrassing in their comments of not only Allen, but the entire organization this year. Maybe all the jumping through tables has mentally impaired many of you.
-
I’ll get crap for this but Dane has been playing great in my opinion. This is 3 weeks in a row where the opposing WR makes a perfect, extremely difficult catch when Jackson is right there in coverage. Everything has to go right for the offense on that play and it does. Jackson has been a bit unlucky.
