Same boat here. Either don’t play the game at all or forfeit at this point. Id rather go into the playoffs on normal schedule as the #2/3 seed than emotionally AND physically exhausted on little rest.

I get what you’re saying, however, you keep avoiding the obvious: it was a mutual decision to not play. The bills didn’t walk off unilaterally. The game won’t be played this week. Which means the game may very well not be played at all. Play week 18 and see where the chips fall. Some of this may be a moot point after Week 18 results. Perhaps playoffs can still be determined with the Bills/Bengals playing one less game than everyone else. If not the NFL may consider pushing back the playoffs 1 week based on today’s announcement (im not sure how else they’d add this game if they’re not doing it this week).

Allen had plenty of time in the pocket and we were moving the ball easily on them. The Bengals got the ball first. Our defense most always struggles off the bat and settles in. Cook was gaining CHUNKS on the ground. You have no idea how this game would’ve ended. Could’ve easily been 38-35 anyone.

Again just playing devil‘S advocate here but why should the Bills forfeit the game or take the loss? Both teams decided to go to the locker room. Has anyone asked the Bengals if they want to play on Wed, risk losing, and then play the Ravens 4 days later with the division on the line? Everyone keeps assuming the bills have to forfeit the game. From what I’m aware - both teams decided to go to the locker room. The Bengals are impacted by this (logistically) as badly as the Bills are. The Bengals have a game at home vs the Ravens on Sunday. Does anyone here think they want to play this game on Wed, possibly lose, and then have to play the Ravens five days later with the division on the line?

I was saying if we beat the Pats and Raiders beat the Chiefs after Week 18.

We would have the same amount of wins and one less loss if the Bengals/Bills game is not played and we win next week + Chiefs loss.

The Chiefs have their own issues to worry about - mainly that they’ve played horribly the last few weeks and aren’t a lock to win @the Raiders who looked pretty damn good without Carr.

Unfortunately some people take a serious moment like this and go full-drama mode. Id bet most of us have experienced death/traumatic events in the workplace, some of us surely more than others. The businesses, agencies and departments dont just close up shop after horrific events. We remember, we honor, and we move forward.
