Come on - if you lived 15 minutes from NC State you know the guy's a play maker...He and Wilson connected a lot...and this kid is a flat out play maker...NCSU Class of '82.....
-
He's a flat out play maker - saw him play a number of games the last couple of years (I went to NC State). I like the pick...good pedigree too - Mike Quick and Torrie Holt both played WR at NCSU....

I remember the Brave's very well - in fact a couple buddies and I won a sign contest one year and got two season tickets for the next season (their last)....like others have said - when the Brave's left the NBA was dead to me...and yes, the sports scene in Buffalo was decent in the 70's from a star stand point but really, other than the Saber's getting to the cup in '75 there weren't many winning Buffalo teams if I recall correctly. I recall the Bills made the playoff's in 73 or 74 and lost to the Steelers I think. The Brave's went a few times as noted above.

Just curious for those of you still in WNY - was Gronkowski all over the press when he was in HS? I ask because I graduated from WEHS in the late '70's and I just don't remember HS football being all that big a deal...of course that was eon's ago...

Didn't go to Collegiate, went to HS in WNY - been in Richmond 21 years now. Just saw Wilson play alot when he was there. And having gone to NCSU I watched him play a fair amount of those games. He's a very gifted player and a pretty solid kid off the field too from what I hear.

I've had the good fortune to watch Wilson in high school here in Richmond, VA, then at NC State where I went - he's a quality kid, very intelligent, strong arm and as someone already mentioned, can likely run a wild cat type set of plays. I think he's given up his dream of playing pro baseball (believe he was single A last year somewhere out in the northwest). If the Bills can pick him up after 4th round it could be very interesting.

No sense of omerta with these new players today, ey? Oh well, if you read the posts at the Times-Picayune site on this you'd swear the NOLA fans had never won a super bowl...bunch of whiners....

55-year-old wants to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader

She's pretty darn good looking for 35 let alone 55... http://www.fitnessanyage.com/author.html -
I guess I'm the dope in the group - 8 of 12 in just over 4 min's. I missed 3, 4, 9 and 10 (guessed at 9). Made an arithmetic error on 10....

Boston Globe Has its Own Jerry Sullivan . . . Eric Wilbur

Of course we shouldn't forget that writers like this guy and Jerry Sullivan are paid to get people like us to talk about what they write - I don't think they're paid to write well or to write fairly. I think Welker makes that catch 99 out of a 100 times (despite Collingsworth saying he makes that catch 100 out of 100 times.) -
Willie Roaf? Who the heck is he? I've been watching professional football for 40 years and I'll be damned if I can say I've heard of the guy before today....The selectors must have been drunk...

The worst part for me is the reminder of "wide right" - particularly this year with the Giants in it. Actually the last week of January has been pretty tough since the four SB losses....I can't remember, were any of the Bills SB's played in February? I don't think so but am too lazy to look that up.
-
Can the Pat's getting any luckier? No call on Moore on the last pass? Evan's drops a catch he's probably made 1000 times? Ugg...I don't think the 49er's or NY Footbal Giants can beat them....

It was a nice story and there are literally hundreds or thousands like the authors. The common thread to me is that most Bills fans have some connection to WNY - either they live there now, grew up there, had a close relative who lived there, etc. I've lived from WNY to Tampa and with stops all along the east coast in the last thirty years and when ever I see someone wearing Bills stuff there are without fail, from WNY. That's the connection amongst Bills fans in my opinion and I think it has something to do with the chip on our shoulders that we get from outsiders making fun of our home town. I live in Virginia now and I know many Steelers fans who have no connection to Pittsburgh other than they love the uniforms or something silly like that. I know many Raiders fans who've never been west of Richmond, many Dallas fans who couldn't pick Dallas out on a map - but for Bills fans it's all about home or some very close connection to home....that's what I think.

Lookie lookie here comes Cookie....I think a lot of guys had to have second jobs in the off season during the sixties and maybe up to the mid 70's....I guess my family didn't get their X-mas tress at Airport Plaza because I don't remember him selling trees there.

which former bill did you wish we didnt give away

I would have voted for Jim Leonard but didn't see him....he seems to be doing well in the Jets system. -
+1

Rex Ryan didn't fall far from the Buddy Ryan tree that's for sure....I happened to live in Philly during the Buddy Ryan years and it was the same BS....lots of talk, no SB. Sure he made the playoff's three times but crapped out each time despite a very good football team....seeing the Jet's implode makes the pain of this past season a bit easier to take...

Does Pinto Kenny still have the Pinto running? If so it may be the last Pinto in the US that still runs....that in itself is a miracle....

Try the new solid tobacco laced lozenges that have come out from Philip Morris recently - Not sure if they're available nationwide but we can get them here in Virginia and they provide enough nicotine to get you through those times when you can't smoke (or dip in my case).....

What if Bills lose to Miami again today?
chaccof replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't claim to have any particular football knowledge. Just that I've followed the Bills for 45 years or so and kinda have this losing thing down....when a team does the same thing game in and game out it's silly to expect a different outcome - that's called insanity.
