I had just turned 39 - and a friend had just stopped by my house, with his very annoying wife - guess they didn't realize I was a Bills fan - anyway, the Bills just scored to go ahead and the wife says something to the effect of "how exciting, your team is going to win....." I shot her the evil eye and said "the games not over - don't jinx them...." the rest, as they say, is history....funny, they never stopped by unannounced again....

And Jax looked pretty good today so next week should be fun...

I really dislike the Pat's but it's kind of fun to watch ol' Rex getting pissed on the side lines while i'm nursing a turkey hang over.....if the Bills don't beat the Jets later this year then I give up.....

I'm in Dallas this week on business. Listened to the local sports talk while driving around. Today was "Cowboy's Monday" and it's the same song down here. They absolutely crucified Garrett. No playoff hopes, fire the owner, dump Romo, etc. etc. I had to chuckle. Actually made me feel less bad about being a Bills fan. Of course to their credit, down here they seem to measure seasons not by whether they have a winning or losing season but whether they make and win the SB or not.....

For any of you old enough to have been in Buffalo during the 1970's you'll surely remember when the Buffalo Braves packed up and moved west. That was probably the last time I watched an NBA game.....I will say that the NFL is one sport that I can sit through a game and watch when I don't have a vested interest in the team. Can't watch baseball at all, mostly watch the Sabers in the NHL, but can occassionally sit through two other teams playing. NBA is dead to me....

NC State - 1983 NCAA Basketball champions. I grew up in WNY, went to school there, graduated in '82 and was on campus the night the won the championship. It was quite an experince - people running wild, everyone happy, parties until early in the morning, etc. I also recall praying that if God let State win the game (against Phi Slamma Jamma) that I'd never ask for another championship for a team I root for - so I may be the reason the Bills haven't won a SB....my apologies.

Is there a play here to trade one of them for a starting QB? Haven't really thought it out, but seems like the Bills are flush with RB's and not so flush with a starting QB that can bring the team to the next level....
