Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread
wjag replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
The nostalgia of Tre White wore off for me yesterday and the reality hit home. He can be a serviceable sub, but he is too soft married with too slow to be CB2. -

The Hard Knocks commercials followed by the guy with his phone in the car in the carwash was repeated so often as to be extremely annoying. -

Seems like they were picking on Tre White while he was in there. Didn’t notice Moore. Shavers working hard to make team. -
I never noticed the face mask snow flake..

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?

I really dislike them all for different reasons. Dolphins -- 0 for the 70s Pats -- The entire TB12 era Jets -- Justs a bunch of dirty players they call a team -
Landon Jackson sighting... Anyone? Haven't heard a peep...

The NFL is a cold business. Limp off the field one day, limp into the unemployment off the next day. Sheesz

The early seasons of The Wire are lit. The season where they move from the street corners to the port and the season they focus on the Baltimore Sun were okay, but don't come close to matching the seasons based on the street corners. Still one of my all time favorite series. If you lived in B'more you will certainly recognize some of the places they shot the series. I've been here since 1991 and never knew that there were East and West side turfs and gangs.

What gives? NFL teams used to have a real camp with two-a-day practices in pads. Nowadays camp is camp-lite and players are getting injured in far greater numbers than in the old days when camp was camp.

Same ankle he hurt last year. Saw some internet doctor explain the injury. Says 4-6 weeks is likely. And even then, ankle will be subject to re-injury. He went on to say that straight ahead would be no issue, but cutting would be. Likely to linger for whole season as he will he putting pressure on it throughout...

Well dang.

The way I see it Tier 1: (The Standard) Mahommes Tier 2: (Nipping at Tier 1's heels) Allen, Burrows and Jackson Tier 3: (On any given Sunday, Monday or Thursday) Hurts, Stafford, Goff, Smith, Mayfield, Stroud Tier 4: (Shows Flashes, But...) Darnold, Daniels, Nix, Prescott, Murray, Herbert, Love, Purdy, Tagovailoa, Tier 5: (Only Your Own Fan Base Cares) All the rest..

Former Panther Alert: Bills sign Shaq Thompson LB!
wjag replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you are a fringe roster spot, you can never relax. Even after cut down day, the revolving door of rostered, cut, practice squad and cut again has to be nerve wracking for these guys. -
All the ridiculous angst over will he, wont he. He will. He did.

Led their team in tackles last year. Surprising move. Their offense is gonna be a juggernaut, their defense a sieve.
-
I’m in the sign him camp to somewhere south of Henry’s contract. He is a key cog in the offense.

Who was invited to Josh and Hailee's wedding?
wjag replied to Willie West's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did Josh go shopping in Digg's closet? -
I'm so happy for him and all the sportcasters that get to talk about him for another year.. I was nervous they would have to cover real news.
-
Yep. The report and video I saw confirms he was at practice. He did one-on-one drills but did not participate in team drills. Made the last day of OTAs. Me thinks his PR guy told him to get his butt to NE and show out. The wolves were at the gate.

So if he was so dead set against it on the grounds of player safety, the Bills won't use it this year? To use it would seem hypocritical if the argument was player safety.
