Anyone see the play where Dodson got hurt? For his limited playing Spector held up. Forgot he was even on the team. Pretty sure Pittsburgh will be looking to test him. Good thing DQ is back in the middle.

I wondered about this as well. I told my wife that you rarely see a pass so "off" unless there is a breakdown in the communication/expectation between QB and WR. I don't know if it was or was not true in this case, but it was so clearly off, that it made me wonder. Not everything is as black and white as it seems. Ultimately the QB is responsible for protecting the ball.

1. I don’t think Buffalo got within sniffing distance of a sack, but shut them out in the second half. 2. That quarter consuming drive in the 3rd that resulted in zero points was a microcosm of this season. 3. Dolphins hit gold with Achane. 4. Lenny looks slow. 5. Tale of 2 reviews. The extended review of Kincaid’s 2 yard reception and the failed review of Allen’s hand going out of bounds were head scratching. 6. Mr Kincaid, Mr Diggs and Mr Shakir all with clutch performances. 7. The score was close, the final stats show our Bills dominated that game. 8. Josh Allen is a dude. 9. Thank you Tennessee. That took enormous stress off of that game. 10. Mr Cooks. You just gotsa catch that pass.

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
wjag replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
My son got the flu shot 3 weeks ago. Guess what he was diagnosed with today. The flu. I know so many people that either have gotten Covid or the flu over the holidays. Stuffs going around. I think I’m saturated. I’ve read and listened pro and con about the game. I’m shutting down, going off the net until Monday. If they win or are in, I’ll be back. If they’re out, I’ll see you all at the draft. Good luck Bills. My final take is I think this is going to be a nail biter. Aren’t they all? -
Why is Diggs coming off the field on Third Downs?
wjag replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
I heard an interview that makes a ton of sense to me. Greg Cosell was on Colin Cowherd show. I think we can all agree that the middle of the OLINE has been struggling of late. Greg thinks that Allen leaves the pocket too soon and Diggs double moves take more time to set up. So Allen is in scramble drill which is killing the Diggs routes. Now why Diggs is coming out, I strongly suspect they need him for the playoffs and like all players, he is nursing aches and pains. -

The whole interior of the line got "blowed up". And since they were pulling the LT, that made a mess in the middle of the pocket. -

I expect a heavy dose of Smyth to the flat, Achane sweeping to the left, and Berrios outside the numbers to the right. They may try and get Claypool on fly routes with single coverage. -
Glad everyone was out and safe. Imagine dealing with this and trying to prepare and play a football game. Holy distractions Batman.

That is one banged up team. Didn't realize Achane was dealing with a toe issue. -
So, You are McDaniel and Dophins Management

Interesting take I had not thought about. Is it true that they are a wear and tear injury as opposed to a bad plant/twist/stub etc? -
[Pre-Chorus] The time has come to say fair's fair To pay the rent, to pay our share The time has come, a fact's a fact It belongs to them, let's give it back [Chorus] How can we dance when our earth is turnin'? How do we sleep while our beds are burnin'? How can we dance when our earth is turnin'? How do we sleep while our beds are burnin'? How do we practice when the roof is smoking

Play to win. I would not like to enter the playoffs on a losing streak. That would be two in a row for them and a road game to follow. -

yeah. I don’t bother. Only important info he relays is the players not practicing. After that, it’s time well spent elsewhere. -

Mikey McDee has taken a lot of deserved incoming over the Chubb injury. Have to figure each NFL team loses or gets dinged a few more players each week. So can an already thin Miami team afford to lose another starter? Has to figure into Mikey's calculus knowing he gets to play in week 19 regardless. Best hope for the Fins is to get an early lead, extend it and then rest some guys in the fourth. Now if the Bills miraculously have a playoff berth before Sunday night, the same arguments hold true for Buffalo. -

And oh yeah. Baltimore has the most clutch kicker in the NFL... And he will be playing. -

These teams HATE each other. Regardless of the players involved, they typically play low scoring and one score games. Baltimore will not laydown against the Steelers. The most dangerous games in the playoffs, IMO, are between division opponents. Just look at the Bills - Dolphins game last year. Miami came to Buffalo without QB1 and gave the Bills all they could handle. The Steelers are not a juggernaut this year. Huntley vs Rudolph is a fair fight. -

This is what I think. Achane likes to run outside to the left. If he gets up to speed, he is hard to catch. -
Looks like he asked for the release, forfeited his incentives and wants to play beyond next week. So that limits his options to 14 teams. Well 13. Buffalo already has a Cook.

Boy the Jets... Rodgers, Lazard, Cook, and Cobb... Brutal.. I can only imagine the Jets board these days.

Joe Brady vs Ken Dorsey- Has He Been Better?
wjag replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you throw out the outlier game of Dallas, I would say they are not better and might be worse. Maybe not statistically, but the offense just doesn't look in sync. These last two games were ugly performance wise. At a time when the offense should be humming, it just feels like it is sputtering. Doesn't feel playoff caliber at the moment. Drops, Diggs getting 5-30, Davis going Missing In Action on the stat sheet, Knox a non-factor, etc all feel off to me. He gets one more chance this weekend to right the ship against a banged up Miami defense. -

Don't disagree with the early season tempertures version the late season temperatures, ie 95 vs 75. But... I believe one team sweating in direct sunlight even at 75 degrees, while wearing dark uniforms to soak up extra heat is still an advantage for the home team. And we all know the field temperatures are always more than the ambient. Add to that the humidity for teams not used to practicing in it still gives Miami an advantage, even at night. So the night game at least takes the direct sunlight off the Bills and their dark uniforms. -
So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
wjag replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
He should stay. When the season is over, he should take a hard look at the OC and DC roles. Like others have said on here, his use of time outs is maddening.
