  1. Agreed. I had a "wonderful" time trying to get everything in my house linked up to the internet after I installed a new modem-router.
  2. I was too. Initially I thought I had screwed up a new hardware installation. Although I was annoyed by the problem, I was glad it wasn't my fault!
  3. I had issues with buffering today on every game I tried to watch. At first I thought it was an issue with a new modem-router I activated this week. But then I tried streaming several shows on Prime and Netflix with no issues. According to this Washington Post story, I wasn't the only viewer to be annoyed. I tried to make the story shareable, hope it works. https://wapo.st/3FzJm4w
  4. Over and out.
  5. Can we throw Schopp & the Bulldog into this mix? These guys offer no insights whatsoever.
  6. That was my reaction. Trying to fill space that normally would be filled with ads.
  7. I didn't have much experience with Sunday Ticket yesterday. I spent the day on the road from attending a memorial service for a friend from our high school days. That said, YTTV said I couldn't watch the recording of the Dolphins game until 7:30. That struck me as a bit odd, but maybe there is a workaround. Old dog, new tricks.
  8. That's the way I felt during the Super Bowl years. I'll just ride the bus until the wheels fall off!
  9. Anxious being the key word.
  10. I added today's game to my YouTube library. I guess I'll know how well it works in the fullness of time.
  11. My friend Wally called to say he had tickets, so we went to the stadium. Traffic was so screwed up that we missed the first quarter and then some. But still it was the first game. And somewhere I have the commemorative medallion.
  12. Boy, you make pretty charts. Can you turn this into a Powerpoint presentation? Now that would be truly enervating.
  13. Here in Virginia you can buy hundreds of specialty plates: including vanity plates, 60 or so military themed plates and 95 college themed plates and god knows how many other weird specialty groups. And yes they sell those stupid "Don't Tread on Me" plates. It's pretty ironic seeing one of those plates on a big-ass SUV or a Tesla. Anyway, the extra money from these plates don't go anywhere except Richmond.
  14. You make a good point. If one of the local reporters posted such a story I would give it some credence, yet take it with a grain of salt. But why would someone in the "Bills locker room" talk to some douchebag reporter from Boston. Or have the Bills signed someone from the Pats and that signee thinks he won't make it past training camp and wants some sort of pre-emptive retribution? In any event, this sounds like a tempest in a teapot: a slow news period for the NFL and the overwhelming presence of people dying to get clicks.
  15. I like the 49ers, because of their history but despite Eddie Debartolo's legal issues. Green Bay. Mostly because I like the colors of their uniforms. Same goes for the Edmonton Elks (ugh on the name) of the CFL. Detroit Lions. I have family in the Motown area. And those fans deserve a break.
  16. The Athletic has a good story about the issue: "All five players agreed that the NFL and the NFLPA need to do a better job at teaching the gambling policy to players, particularly in an environment where four teams have a sportsbook in their stadium or the immediate vicinity and the league has official partnerships with FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesar’s." Based on this passage, I'd say the league and the union need to get their s**t together and lay down the ground rules.
  17. To me, this is the most interesting sentence in the announcement: Security detail is on site.
  18. My quandary is that I'm in the DC metro area and am subjected to either the Washington nameless team and/or the Baltimore Ravens in the local market. I have no interest in either team. Like other posters, I'm not crazy about shelling out $350 for a handful of Bills games. But I don't want to watch teams I don't care about. So it appears I will pay for Sunday Ticket in hopes of seeing non-local market teams.
  19. Meta sells giphy to shutterstock for peanuts
  20. Here's a link to the Sophia GoFundMe page. Sophia
  21. Too bad this site doesn't have a "bu*lsh*t" emoji.
  22. Ravens management obviously pays attention to this board!
