  1. Hmmmm since those materials are not ferrous, may not be detectable with their hand held devices. Your secret may be safe! Thats to complicated, I plan to put a metal pen in every pocket in my clothing. Not to mention my keys, cell phone, binocs, etc etc. The lines will be SLOWWWWWW.The powers that be ar delusional!
  2. Well, talk about stupicity, McGahee had to have his signals sent in from the sideline a couple of years....had could not learn the playbook when here.....Marv always wants smart players.....McGahee was never one of those. If he had stayed, McGahee would have fit right in with the "collective stupicity" you mention
  3. You are partially but not totally right here. My son lives in Tokyo, and with a Japan URL he can purchase the Bills game on the internet (nfl.com, I think) for $25. But, US based URL's will not be allowed to purchase...likely as stated above, because of the TV contracts. He does buy some...but getting up a 3am in tokyo is somewhat of a deterent. However, this week, he is in WNY on a business trip, and we will be in the stands this Sunday. Go Bills!
  4. Chan will be around at least two years. But, he has to get rid of his "good ole boy bud, the Defensive coordinator" That is management....eliminate poor performers. Still need players on both sides of the ball. The offense falls appart on injuries...and lack of depth. The O line is thin, but not total devoid of talent. Fitz has not been run over this year....of course the season is young. Yes, they need a LT.....Pears has not played badly, he will be resigned. Not usre about Bell....really injury prone...two years, not much playing time. I would go in a different direction.
  5. Actually, the O-line has played much better than everybody expected. I think Urbik, Pears, and Reinhart are all good/average pro's. I wonder about the left tackle a little...Bell can play, but is hurt way to much (the second coming of Jonas Jennings) And, obviously, we need a backup center....although we will see, maybe Urbik can do it this weekend. And, the rookie from Clemson, he got undressed last weekend....not a believer in him at this point. So, I guess I have to agree we need at least one more quality OL guy. (I was hoping I could talk myself into disagreeing)
  6. Yeh, McKelvin, the CB not on the field is the only cover guy we have.
  7. The Tebow touchdown had that defense, Tebow got around left end for 20+yards and the TD. Beating the Jets is someone of consequence...even if it was at home. Denver can be beated (we hope by the Bills on Christmas eve), but it will take inovative defense. The option works when the QB can pound the ball. And, as Rex Ryan told his defensive backs, Tebow will not run out of bounds, he will "look you up". He did that last night, ran over DB's at the sideline...like a fullback of old. This is a new species for the NFL....
  8. McKelvin is the only corner we have that has the jets to stay with Bryant! The other two are 5 yards slower than Bryant. WHAT IS YOUR BETTER IDEA?
  9. McGee got burned multiple times also...at $5mil a year...just not for a TD. Florence can't run with Bryant...McKelvin can get into position if he directs his jets in the right direction. Face it, these three CB's need pressure up front that isn't there...and I can't argue with seeing if the rookie can play. McGee's contract is up this year I think, and McKelvins is too , I think. Two more years of Florence...hope he isn't past the curve on speed. Bottom line, Merriman is out, and apparently his reputation alone made a difference in how the front pressure was anticipated by the opposition.
  10. I saw Darius drop into coverage in the second qtr. We need new coaches, we didn't draft Darius third overall to drop into coverage.
  11. To many ego's and reputations involved with Donte not being the player a #8 overall should have been. To bench him would have been an admission of failure. Wendling should have been kept........I saw him deliver some great hits last night on the boob
  12. Looks like we find out about Batten this week. He has been sharing time with Merriman.....so who picks up that extra time...Carrington?
  13. McKelvin made some good plays as well, I recall one in the endzone where he stoped a TD. He reminds me of James Williams of a decade or two back...lasted 5-6 years, great physical specimen, fast etc, but couldn't make the plays. McKelvin is better than he was....certainly has the speed/tools, just needs to learn the techniques as stated here by others. He could be all world if he did that. Of course, that guy Greene is incredible, and nobody in the league will shut him down totally. I am not as negative on McKelvin as some of you here, he is still a player in my view. Neither McGee or Florence could run with Greene, McKelvin could!
  14. Happened right in front of me....the ball hit him in the chest...should have had it no matter what the circumstances.
  15. Yeh, I am pro Dareus also. But, lets recall, the pass deflection he got against Brady was with his face mask.......yes he was in the right place....but, that kind of deflection is more luck than getting it with an extended arm IMHO
  16. I was there also....a younger man for sure at that time. But, Ahmed Rashad and Joe Ferguson...some of their best moments. I had the priveledge of asking the season ticketholder who sat next to me, when he arrived for the next game, if he had heard what happened after he left last game!
  17. Today was the first day I saw starter quality play from Donald Jones. Maybe he is that caliber....but lets see over a season.
  18. Well, Spiller sure looked good in his runs against Oakland. I like the threat and change of pace with Jackson. Want to see more of that. As far as moving Spiller out to wr/slot, I have my concerns about him learning that shift in the time available. Recalling the Fitz had a Wonderlick score of 48, he is one of the smartest guys in the league. Spiller, however, had a 10, one of the lowest scores in the league. So, it is unlikely that he could make a quick shift here. Just my concern about this idea.....
  19. Yeh, he was double teamed a lot...and lets other guys get one on one or alone. He isn't getting big stats, but he is there....and they have to account for him. I am happy he is still whole physically, and believe he will come along with the big plays as he plays back into shape, both mentally and physically. You really though those two cameo's in the preseason got him ready?
  20. Actually, if its non football related...and certainly sounds like it is....it is likely that the new labor agreement does not allow the team to divulge the condition. I just think Chan was being cute with the media, instead of giving the standard privacy statement.
  21. I am reminded of Vince Wolfolk doing JP Losman's knee.....its part of the game. We don't like loosing the players....but, it happens to each team. Chan is right, these plays are when the receivers get to put it on the db's......Stevie apparently knows how to do that...good for him. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
  22. Jones is a physical specimen. But, I think he has bad hands.....so I am not happy with this situation.
  23. My season seats are in front of Mr Wilson's box. He was not present for either preseason game this season. That is not ususual, however, he will be there opening day unless he is dead. Last year, for the first time, there were EMT's on station at the entrance to his box, and that isn't a good sign. Mr Wilson, live long and prosper!!
