  1. I don't see why this isn't a good idea. Fred's year in Seattle, he only played in 4 games before a high ankle sprain ended his season. He carried 26 for 100 yds (3.8avg) and caught 32/257 2TD's in essentially 3 games (only 2 catches yds and a TD week 2). That'll work. He's not getting the full load so for what he brings to the table, production, leadership, blitz pick-up, hands and work ethic, the minimum for him would be a steal IMO. It's a net positive.
  2. Actually, this is the exact opposite of what the OP was saying.
  3. Maybe they don't have as much cap room because they have a better roster? Pretty sure that's how it works.
  4. Wow! What happened to this board? I used to get on here everyday for YEARS (never posted much) and love reading all the different opinions, but what the hell did I just read in this thread? Pages 2 - 3 were unbearable! Who are these people on here now? Damn, I take a little siesta and come back to kindergarten class? Sorry ya'll, but WOW! In any event, I agree with the OP. I really like what they're doing at OBD. Finally feels like a real path. Something we haven't had since the mid 90's.
  5. The bottom line is this. Who is more productive right now? Glenn in Roman's offense or Mario in Rex's defense? I think this answer is clear. Glenn in Roman's offense. We just saw what each can do in these situations and one did remarkably well and the other failed miserably. If you have to tag Glenn to keep him here, clear the room with Mario and tag him.
  6. I thought he was Jim Kelly. I messaged him as I was talking to Jill Kelly on Facebook about an event I wanted to plan for Hunters Hope and I had not heard back from her and I asked if he was Jim. He simply said he was not.
  7. What if you had 1 Conference and 4 Divisions. North, South, East and West. Each Division had 8 teams. Regular season would consist of not playing your division, but 2 others. North vs South and East, South vs. North and West, East vs. North and West, West vs. East and South. That's 16 games to determine your position in your division against division foes facing the same teams but not each other. Everyone would have the same bye week, say in the middle of the season. The playoffs would be in a bracket style playoff system. Everyone makes the playoffs. You play within your division. 1's vs. 8's, 2,s vs. 7's and so on. Final 4 (Division champs) would be North vs. South, East vs. West to determine the Super Bowl. The next year, you just mix-up the regular (North vs. East and West.... ect) and playoffs (North vs. West, South vs. East). This way, you play a team 2 years in a row, 1 year off, except in your own division where you may face them every year, or not for years. The Super Bowl will most likely be two teams that have already played that year (sucks) but we have that possibilty now anyway. This schedule would give the NFL 20 more games a year (I think) and a chance for fans to fill out brackets while hoping their team (The Bills) could pull-off the upset of the year! Don't kill me on this....... just thinking out-loud.
  8. It's the difference between "Want & Need." I Want the Bills to be good. I Want them to win games. I Want them to be revelant. But I Need to give them time given the situation. The "Wants" piss me off, the "Needs" make me understand. Either way, I still wear my gear for every game!
  9. Are you talking about the "last" possession or when the Bills had the ball with 5 min left? The last possession they had to use the hurry-up. They were behind. With 5 minutes left, I totally agree with using the hurry-up. They had a 1 point lead and needed to score. The Pats had 3 time-outs left, plus the 2 minute warning. There was still alot of football left at that point. No need to milk the clock given the situation. If it was 1 minute left and they used the hurry-up, then I'd be questioning them.
  10. Ok, good to know. When I was on recruiting duty, we only wore the blue. Thanks for the info.
  11. As a veteran of the Corp from '91-'99, I'm embarrassed by this Marines actions. First, I noticed the white trousers. Not blue with the blood line, which means special duty, perhaps Silent Drill? (unless recruiting duty now wears white) Being a VT game, I can see this as a "home" game for him if he is assigned to D.C. If he is Silent Drill, I would expect more discipline and bearing from a highly disciplined Marine. Either a SD member or a recruiter or whatever, I think he forgot his place and acted like a fan and not a Marine at the moment. That's okay when in civies, not in uniform.
  12. "Bro..... it's okay to cough. We all do. Here, try again."
