Ravens vs Chargers MNF game thread (no Bills talk please)DrPJax replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Yep , no one broke ankles like sanders. But as a kid I grew up watching OJ AND THE ELECTRIC co go for 2 k yards in a 14 game season. Still remember the snowy day he went over 2 k and was hoisted by the o line. Man , he was so smooth, and he just glided. He and Barry were like aliens from another world. I won a silent auction at SB 27 put on by the NFL in Pasadena and won a signed oj jersey , a football signed by the Bills, and a Bills helmet signed by the team. A few months later I had them displayed in my office , and one night I was having dinner zand there was the white bronco being chased live on network tv. To make matters worse, someone got into the office a month later , and stole all my memorabilia. Only thing I have left is two numbered uncut sheets of skybox cards that were printed at the SB NFL EXPERIENCE. They are in pristine shape , about 3 x 4 foot , and they have all the bills and cowboy rosters and other pro bowl players. They printed 20 k of the sheets and they are seamed and numbered. Had to ship them back to Florida from Pasadena and luckily , I had not displayed they in my office. FINA’s rookie card is part of the set. I wanted to see if he might like the set ( he displays memorabilia behind him on his podcast w Joe miller. I’ m having some serious heath issues and just want the set to go to a bills fan who woukd appreciate them and keep them. If anybody talks to fina or miller or interested , maybe pass it on or contact me , I bet fina would love to pass those on to his kids / family, esp now that he is back fully with the Bills organization. BUT, watching Barry., and Oj as just a football player ,was amazing , and imo, no other backs really came close as pure speed and change of direction instantly as those two could running backs could do. Henry reminds me somewhat of Earl Campbell power wise, but he runs upright like George more than brutal bowling people over like Earl did. If the ravens keep running like this in the playoffs , and don’t turn it over , I’m not sure how a smallish team like the Bills can match up. I like the Bills against everyone else , but if the ravens run and don’t turn it over , we coukd beat them only if our o plays a perfect game. Without turnovers , they just wear everybody down.

I’m just an Old school guy, old Rick guy here, too. What song woukd better fit the Buffalo area, the working class ethic , the northern area and bordering canada, , than the classic Rush tune , WORKING MAN ? It never gets old , instantly recognizable, perfect lyrics, is a tune from A Rock and roll HOF BAND, HAS LYRICS that anyone can sing along with , builds up and rocks out and nothing beats those opening chords / lyrics. You could cut the solo a little and change one word if you wanted too. I get up at 7 yeah and go to work by 9. I got no time for the ( put team name in ) Chiefs , yeah , cuz I’m working all the time ! It seems to me I could live my live a lot better than I think I am, It seems to me I could live my life a lot better than any CHIEFS fan, I guess that’s why they call me , they call me the working man , I guess that’s what I am , I guess that what they call , they call me the BILLS MAFIA , MAN ! cuz that’s what I am , the BILLS MAFIA , MAN ! I get hone at 5 o clock , and I take myself out a nice cold beer , seems I’m always wonderin why there’s nothing going down here ! it seems to me I could live my live a lot better than any Chiefs fan , I guess that’s why they call me , they call me BILLS MAFIA , MAN ! Thats why they call me ,,, BILLS MAFIA, MAN! CUE A SHORTENED VERSION OF THE GREAT GUITAR SOLO , then to the lyric one more time with Bills Mafia Pics or shots of live fans in the stands enjoying their “ soft drinks” ! just a thought , but who works harder than the BILLS OR THE MAFIA ? And it would fit with a football game background I just don’t get the alt Rick Mr brightside to get players ready to hit etc, but if it’s working , then yeah , I’m superstitious enough to not mess w it ! Just don’t get the choice to start with ! lol! Go bills!

Milano Watch - Practice Window Opening 11/13/24!DrPJax replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall My point is it’s some of game playing that gets him nothing. He gets no advantage as the guys he remains vague about get declared out early anyhow so no team is wasting time preparing for a certain player to play. It is just contrary to the nfl requiring accurate injury disclosure. I don’t care. I just find it odd to do press conferences that are meaningless , do you still watch anything he puts out , I don’t. It’s just football , yet he acts like his being vague , which takes a certain effort ,will somehow add to his chance of success, while it is just the type of overthinking that has gone into many of his failed , late game coaching collapses. It’s a pattern of obsessive behavior and thinking , which if too pervasive can interfere with your goals , like winning a Super Bowl , and become counterproductive. All really successful people have some obsessive traits, or they would never persist to beat obstacles and achieve. Yet , it can go too far. So you might think it’s nonsense , but you are missing bigger patterns. I could go on , but sorry , I answered your questions in the original post but it was too many words for you. Perhaps consider some reading on ocd behavior. Coaching is not done in a bubble , they are humans and behaviors carry over in all aspects of life. Best wishes , go Bills! ( hey it is Just my opinion, I only ask for being open to different thoughts , not to be attacked. Your offer of its “ nonsense” offers no explanations or original thought. It’s name calling basically. Why not offer how being vague is so advantageous or productive. And until he proves he can win a sb , which is his reason to be a HC , he should remain open for fair , positive criticism )

Milano Watch - Practice Window Opening 11/13/24!DrPJax replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall Thanks for really narrowing that down! lol, JK! You can work for Mcd anytime! Best wishes , but this is about the best example of how vague mcd handles things. I don’t see the value in not being at least willing to tell the actual injury. I mean telling the actual injury changes nothing but speculation. It doesn’t affect treatment , time to return to play , prognosis , etc. I don’t care , tbh, I just find it as odd behavior and frankly it takes more effort to keep things locked up and really borders on paranoid type behavior. People will just keep asking ,keeping it an issue. If that is what you think you need to win a game it is almost obsessive energy devoted down a rabbit hole , rather than just saying , hey he has a non displaced fracture and as soon as it’s healing well and we feel good about him not injuring it further , he will play. Then it’s over , no more questions every week , he is being announced as out early both weeks so far so the other team knows he’s out and it’s no competitive advantage , and he returns when he does. At this point , who knows , he could still end up missing 3-4 weeks ; it’s just at some point he plays or he doesn’t. It’s either wrist or forearm , teams will still target hitting him the same way. Let the big cover up continue. Maybe focus on fixing your slow start issues would be more productive. Love Mcd as a coach , but have always found his evasive injury discussion as someone missing the forest for the trees.

Milano Watch - Practice Window Opening 11/13/24!DrPJax replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall True , but with this staff you never , I mean never really know the exact actual extent of the original injury. Nothing is ever discussed or handled in a transparent manner. I don’t understand the competitive impact Mcd thinks this gains. With 0 SB appearances , hard to say his way of handling medical injury information makes any logical sense. Unless you have talked with Milano or family or seen the actual injury data / diagnostic tests , how can you ever make any prognostic statements. Never seen anything like this by a staff. I would agree with you totally , it’s just with this paranoid type behavior , who can really say anything? I mean , for example, it’s already one game later and what is Coleman’s actual injury or prognosis? No one knows outside of the Bills med staff. So that makes it harder for the Chiefs this week ?. They still prepare for him and if he doesn’t play , it’s likely his snaps / targets go elsewhere or to a less talented person. The bills only have so many talented receiving options, and by now they are well known on film. How does being vague help ; if he plays the other team knows which wrist was injured , it will likely be wrapped if he can play at all, and they will still target hitting that area. Any thoughts on how this is productive? 😊✌️
-
I understand your point and agree , yet I can’t understand bringing up even less talented-guys who are never even going to get a target. The uses of certain players by this staff at times is just hard to grasp. Why bring mvs in at the original price , then cut him when you are making a playoff run for players with less talent and NO POST SEASON SUCCESS. At least he had a history of some legit playoff success. They have a history of under utilizing players at times , keeping them off the field for unknown reasons. They did it with the safety again this year as well. Cutting two FA ‘s signed who were expected to make impacts seems illogical to me. It’s a mistake by either signing them or cutting them , you can’t have it both ways and your process is flawed. You are signing guys who then never have enough talent to even touch the field? Just the fact mvs was capable to have a two td game is proof he can compete , yet he had zero productivity here despite being here all preseason / offseason. The stiffs they brought up did nothing but run motion. That’s not going to get you thru injury depleted times. The offense was really limited yesterday. I mean they won by 10 , after giving up a 10 point lead thanks to the d scoring , went down 13-10 at one point , done while getting 4 turnovers and a pick six! Hey A win is a win, but is the process a sustainable one that would work against good teams? Colts are something like the 31 st ranked team against the pass , yet Josh threw two ints against their substandard talent. Seems like there are times that players are held off the field for mystery or not well communicated reasons. Players who failed here are doing well after leaving like Poona ford / Tim settle. Add Diggs , mvs, edwards all to the list. It just seems like chaotic roster management rather than a logical strategy. If it happens once , understandable. Happening several times seems like an issue, and until they prove this process can win a SB, it’s fair to question Beanes moves.

Bills are 8-2 for the first time in over 30 yearsDrPJax replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall I think you and a couple other posters are spot on! . There are just certain things that can’t be ignored. The chiefs are arguably better than us at every key area ; 1 ) Reid has proven at this point to be a better HC than Sean in the playoffs and also is probably a better oc NOW than Brady. 2) spags is an innovative dc , and they have a superstar de / closer / playmaker in Chris jones compared to any player on the bills d. Our closer , Von , is way past his prime w injuries taking their toll. Jones has a history of dominating the bills come playoff time. Our one great chance was the 13 sec game to overcome that d and well, we will never forget how that ended. 3 ). I hate this but mahomes so far has proven to be the best qb related to Super Bowl results . I like Allen better as a Buffalo guy, character guy , and so far he has played really well in the playoffs , but he hasn’t had the playmaker support or the coaching staff has made just enough errors to neutralize his talent in the playoffs. He has left the field leading , only to end up going home with defensive collapses. Other than that run ending in 13 sec , he has not lead the Bills to dominant leads( two scores or more) , and the o tends to go thru periods of hurting and stopping themselves with penalties etc or he is prone to ill timed turnovers ( like the Houston game) keeping games within reach , and that sets them up for the d to fail late. Say what you will , mahomes so far just has been a better closer of games in the playoffs. 4 ) They have a player in kelce who has been there and elevates his game come playoff time , creating mismatches with linebackers. We just have not yet had anything comparable outside of Josh. 5) they have had dominant special teams play. Last year bass was a liability down the stretch. He is looking good so far , but let’s see in the playoffs. I don’t think any of the above is hyperbole; home field advantage is huge for making a SB run, and so far the Chiefs have proven that. So , while some argue the chiefs have been lucky or gotten sloppy wins , you can’t argue with being undefeated , and they have achieved home field advantage almost every year. I think we could beat them and get to the SB THIS YEAR , but we have a more realistic chance if healthy for once , and can get that afc championship at home. Chiefs have the experience , history of success that breeds confidence , and they are so far just better come playoff time. The Bills have enough talent , and Mcd has kept improving , so we should have a realistic chance to make a run. . We have a really tough schedule , but based on past results , you would have to prove to me they could actually remain healthy enough to get past that rough schedule to make a playoff run. Imo, Mcd is a perfect fit for the bills and he is the best chance regarding the HC POSITION to get a SB one time. I don’t see him being dominant like Reid has been, but he has the leadership qualities to get them there one time. He does have to overcome his losing playoff record, esp on the road and his teams seem to collapse under pressure as noted by his zero wins in overtime, yet the players respect him and the chemistry is real. They definitely could do it this year as they are winning even ugly type games. They just have a narrower margin of error than the chiefs. Both teams are what their records show they are. If they get and stay healthy , Allen can take over any game and if he gets hot, this could be the year. Many “ ifs “ as you stated, but it’s possible as they gain confidence with each win. They have to be healthy tho , as they lack time together and need their best quality guys actually playing for a realistic shot. Go Bills!

Brian Baldinger (#BaldysBreakdowns) of Bills offense play structureDrPJax replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall John fina , who played tackle for Buffalo for ten years , his rookie season ending with bills in SB 27 , said that Dawkins grabbed the neck line part of the jersey and yanked the guy down. He said this was definitely a penalty and would be called 100% if the time , esp with the ref right there looking at it. He reviewed the all 22 , and was very firm it was a penalty. Not sure baldy is seeing that jersey neck grab. It looks like he reaches in and grabs and pulls the guy down suddenly. I have no idea , but fina is pretty good with offensive line play , he does coach college level players including his son Bruno. It’s on his last podcast with joe miller on YouTube. Doesn’t matter now thank goodness, but interesting to see various viewpoints. The ref was in perfect position to see it either way.

Thx for the mention. Yep , it is medical , from Ohio originally , moved to Jax fl in 85 and been board certified in fam practice , urgent care for 40 plus years. Not doing much clinical work now as I’m 67 and had failed neck surgery after 5 discs collasped in my neck , damaging my spinal cord. But still fully licensed and walking and just trying to still help people with med issues , as medicine in the US HAS lost its way. Drs now are unfortunately controlled by big corps employing them , who are run by pharma and politics of the companies boards. , The “ drs. “ who went to school ,,but never did do the actual clinical work and just use the credentials to rise to controlling power positions , not continuing the actual real purposeful work , which was to be caring for people at times of critical health needs, aren’t fulfilling the real purpose of the title. Lol. It’s just my opinion ; if you took one of the limited spaces to get in school ( we are facing a huge shortage as boomers like me are retiring / passing and great smart young people now are going to other fields to not incur huge debt and frankly , probably have more control over their quality of life) you really should be dedicated to doing the actual purpose you went there to be trained to do. Still doing thing to help young docs, , help friends navigate the system, and act as a consultant in malpractice cases. Lots of great docs on here as bills fans , so I only give opinions very generally on med issues here , trying to avoid controversial things because it gets interpreted I guess as arrogance , which if you knew me is just not close to any trait I posses or reason I opine on player med related issues. My main purposes/ has only and always been the same, I just only wish to help in a positive way , and being totally free from controls as I’m self employed means I have no agendas. Really appreciate your statement and thought it was perfect. You kindly reminded me of one of my all time fav profs in undergrad who taught immunology and a fantastic surgery class In undergrad where I actually learned things that often got skipped in med school because of numbers of students / competition for spots to get into surgical fields. He once said to my small , 8 student experimental surg class , “ real drs are phd’s , not the others, as phds’s are the real scientists and creators “. It always stuck with me and I get his argument. Loved the guy , you know , we all have 2-3 great teachers in our lives who share knowledge and really serve as role models and motivators. He is gone now , and I never got the chance to go back and see if I could ever help him modify his view. He was right , but I really think those that actually treat / care for people deserve that title too because it’s a calling and everyone of us need them at some point in life as we will all face illness and life’s end, and people need trust they will get compassionate care at those vulnerable times. Your statement really hit home and it made me remember his great teaching and how he helped motivate me to be sure to always keep striving to deserve that title. Thankyou so much. I really have no idea what the issue is with Samuel, but if it’s physical , then do something to definitively fix it or it’s a disservice to him to keep putting him out there. Just seems like something isn’t working out as no change or progress is happening. So it’s either him , or the Bills inability to create use for him and it seems like a wasted opportunity so far. Like you said , with injuries , we could really use what he did well before as the season advances. Hope it gets figured out as when I watched him yesterday , I didn’t see anything a ps squad guy couldn’t do, and being from Ohio, I really hoped would really add a vertical threat and that’s just not happening up to now. Happy holidays, go Bills !
-
A healthy , pro bowl Milano returning would be a great addition. Just hard to be optimistic it will happen soon. I don’t expect Beane to do much with them sitting at 7-2. Hey , he made a huge move getting coop , adding more doesn’t seem like his usual move Elam came thru today. Coleman’s status will be huge, but on d edwards can’t even make the active squad so I think Beane is done for this year.

The decision to go for the FG - right or wrong?DrPJax replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall With mcds OT record , thank goodness he went for it. Great question that thankfully we can dismiss.
-
I don’t think it’s negative just to wonder what exactly is going on with him. It’s pretty unusual to have him out there if he has some undisclosed injury ; that just doesn’t make sense to me. I mean it’s past the half way point and he has really not been any type of threat , or even productive in any sense this year. It’s is very strange after watching him be very productive before coming here. Obviously they expected more with his contract. He and Josh just have no chemistry ; Josh didn’t even look at him today imo. He has fallen off a cliff , heck even Diggs at his worst produced more. Just really an odd situation , and I don’t know what “ injury” would persist , go unreported , and he still be getting snaps. Either it’s Brady misusing him , or he has hit some wall mentally or physically. I really thought he would be very good , but so far he’s a mystery.
-
I wonder. In my experience following the Bills , time is not relative to the diagnosis , unless it was a compound fx( breaking thru skin or with open laceration , as that is a surgical urgency / emergency which would have him getting surgery tonight ). Only reason I say that is initial films at stadium could be negative, yet a callous or healing line could show up 24 - 72 hours later in a subtle , non displaced fracture. Add the McD secrecy factor and you might not know until Wednesday with the Bills. ( or really ever exactly with McD) It would still be splinted / casted most likely, so with the Bills , knowing nothing right away is typical. If it is in the wrist , not forearm ( when I rewatched it , admittedly just got one review for three seconds , it looked higher than the wrist , like lower forearm took biggest impact , but I admit with just that tv view I can’t be sure. ), it could initially look neg but if pain persists , might show up later. It is diff with pro football tho as they aren’t dealing with reg insurance , may own a dedicated mri even or just have deal with a diagnostic radiology company , and more likely to jump quickly to more advanced things like ct scan or mri to evaluate ligaments in wrist etc. , which doesn’t happen with reg public. So , I don’t think not hearing right away means it’s less likely a fracture. I hope for him it’s a bad contusion, or non displaced fracture ( everything in alignment and in place) , so he might not miss extended time. If it’s a slightly displaced fracture or in one of the many formal wrist bones , he might be out a couple of months as a receiver , as casting will cause atrophy of forearm muscles , which complicates recovery for a position so dependent on two hands. Hoping for the best as he is having a great season. Will miss him next week against the colts watching them vs Vikings if he does miss time. Really enjoying watching he and Josh develop chemistry as season progressed.
-
This would really be a setback if fractured. Esp for receiver. Not like they could play well with padded cast / brace. He has a pretty unique role now. Po with a nasty hit. Like the guy but that hit sucked and he was very late doing it. Hope he enjoys going home early for his last season. If Coleman goes to ir , what move does Beane make? Brady has really used him well lately. If it a fracture , he might be out more than 6 weeks as casting will atrophy forearm muscles',just a longer process possibly for a receiver. If not angulated or displaced , he might not miss a full two months,,,,will all depend on xrays, and even those could still miss a fracture early. Hope it’s more forearm than in wrist as there are bones with less circulation and many articulating surfaces in the formal wrist. Fingers crossed it’s not fractured. Been enjoyable watching him progress as a rookie.

It’s sad anytime to lose a friend , fellow Bills fan , or any family member of the posters on here. Never met him but been on here a long time and enjoyed his posts. Great summary SDS, thankyou for Reminding us about his life and family. God bless him , keep him , and bless his family. It’s so painful losing a parent anytime in life. It sure sounds like he led a really joyful life and was a loving parent , which is the best life anyone can ever hope for. He’ll be missed.

What does Elam and a pick get you in this market?DrPJax replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Things are going to keep getting weird as trade deadline is near. Jax just traded its starting left tackle to the Vikings and all they got was a 2026 5 th round pick that can elevate to a 4 based on playing time. He was just cleared from concussion protocol but was a healthy scratch last Sunday against the packers. He is owed 10 mil this year and hits the FA market next year. They just plugged in the second strung tackle who has a contract thru 2025. Hard to believe all the Vikings gave up for a starting tackle ( Robinson is his name I think) is a 5 th rounder in 2026! Just a side thought , it seems we never get a break. Tua is back and the fins looked better , and we will probably face flacco unless the colts lose or are just sending a 1 game lesson for the qb tapping out. I don’t know but listening to prior football players , that guy really screwed up and he will need to do a Lot to regain their respect. Colts are a good club, and better with Flacco unfortunately. Dude had to tap out right before we have to go there. Ravens also added another fast wr , so they aren’t sitting still. Hope Beane is still looking , esp if we could get some value for a 2026 pick. ✌️😊
-
You can’t predict that type of injury. Your logic is shot tho when Beane paid for an older Von miller who cost much more than Diggs. Obviously you can take into account prior injuries ( tho again Beane ignored the fact miller already sustained one prior ACL AND is older than Diggs). You can’t base things on future injuries , unless you make the contract incentive laden, which again is usually because of a prior history of missing time due to prior injuries. Basically, your premise makes no sense as he already took none of that into consideration with miller , so no, Beane won’t come out and say it because it’s a moot point. Best to rethink that one, certainly wouldn’t bet on it! 😂
-
Did Josh say that or is this just your opinion? More likely the latter as coop slipped on a very wet field , just like others did. Wasn’t a blown route or effort thing and they were reported talking amicably after the game. Josh doesn’t blame others , a very admirable quality. If he hasn’t said anything bad about diggs , with all his visible complaining and cryptic Twitter crap , he isn’t going to blame coop for slipping on one play. I think you’re stating this tongue in cheek , but couldn’t tell with just that short statement. Besides , Josh rarely is critical of anyone after a win. He was lucky his kicked dropped fumble didn’t cost the team at the time , so he has no room to look at any play other than his own. Several breaks went the bills way today so they need to just stay focused on improvement " Like eliminating dumb penalties. Time to keep working on improvement as a team as bigger tests are coming.

Tua cleared to play this weekend against the CardsDrPJax replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall What exactly is a “ devastating’ concussion? What does that mean, what scientific evidence is that based on, and what have you read to make that conclusion, you know , that his neurologists and team drs haven’t read or had excess too ? It’s this type of hyperbole by people that should just stay in your own thoughts , as it’s just myth based on your opinion. He has gotten several opinions and was cleared to play by experts who treat people / athletes as their main field of expertise regarding return to play situations. However , that’s not enough , and you think your opinion is what he should act on ? I’m sorry but that’s just absurd. What if someone random told you not to go to work Monday or any longer because you are just one devastating car wreck away from being badly hurt ? Would you retire ? Of course not , it’s your life and there is no way to exactly quantify that type of risk to a specific individual. . The only part that is fact based is he had 2 concussions while playing the Bills , yet they were in different seasons and I think close to a year apart , if not more. Its not your life , your decision to make , and its opinion contrary to the team, team drs , specialists all clearing him. He’s playing , it’s his life, his risk ( football is risky for many reasons) , let it go as he has a right to live his life as he chooses after discussing his risks with qualified experts. You have to agree , EVERY PLAYER is one hit away from a devastating injury in that sport, I mean Hyde went back out there AFTER SPINAL SURGERY. Having had that at three levels myself , you couldn’t pay me any $ to play football after neck surgery. lol, Everybody makes their own choices and that should be respected. Go Bills !
-
What’s your point , you’re tired of seeing a good TEAM , WITH A GOOD GM , WITH A GREAT QB, CREATIVE HC PLAYCALLER , WITH GOOD SUPPORT ON BIT BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL , WIN. MORE THAN OTHERS ? We witnessed this before as a combination with the pats. It’s not a unicorn. I’ll let you chose which elements the BILLS have never put all together. How about rather than winning percentage , what is the HC. record in the playoff, where one has never even reached the SB , LET ALONE even getting a chance to lose one. It may even take getting to more than one to win one. Which coach took two different franchises in both the AFC / NFC to that game ? With different qbs ,one with mcnabb, who was much less talented than JOSH! One keeps winning home field advantage , winning with new receivers ( 6-0) like Hopkins, smith schuster , a rookie , etfc, while the other has already dropped two games off the home field advantage race with one of the worst wr corps prior to trading ( another pattern repeated). Which guy , HC , has multiple named clutch losses ( 13 seconds, hail Murray, losing wit 21 secinds in Houston and before that blew a first half 16 point lead in the playoffs ) ? Which HC / team has traded or jumped the other to get mahomes, mcduffie, worthy , yet was creative with a certain unstoppable tight end , a player nicknamed the cheetah, and allows players to have input with “ merry go round plays “ , laterals off completed catches that actually was for a td but one idiot lined up Offside saving our ciach another embarrassment? Sorry , I dont care how close their won loss percentages are in the reg season ; one is on the verge of a 3 peat SB TRIFECTA, while the other has.made ONE AFC CHAMPIOVSHIP APPEARANCE , only to not yet even sniff that level with a home playoff loss to the other HC, who just knows how to win. Meanwhile we lose winnable games ( Texans) , and even a Bills fan , orlovsky , points out uncreative use of motion / play action , a all while emphasizing a DL that is terrible against the run and lacks a finishing sack artist. All this even while we see our prior 3 rd round dl get dropped from even a tire fire team leaving us to rely on an aging superstar well past his prime , who abuses women and misses many more games than he has played. Yet you have the cajones to criticize the more successful coach ( who will be a hof coach) , part of a great organization that mark my words , will revive Hopkins season as they coach to players strengths , and unless a team steps up , and you are stating it’s a fact that Sean will bring home a SB despite no evidence he can win against a better HC in Reid , and it’s a moot point about him having mahomes. Mcd gave him to reid , and it’s a locked in fact that Reid / mahomes are like Brady / Belicheck , without the cheating and actually still being likeable men ( I met Andy Reid at the time of the eagles / pats Super Bowl at the Nike SB party on the beach two nights prior to the game , as NIKE RENTED A WHOLE Hotel , THE CASA MARINA ON JAX BEACH IF You WANT TO RESEARCH it , and we talked in line at the buffet ! He knew me from no one and was so friendly, funny , affable and it was a great nite. That nite my other fav player I met and talked with at that event was Warwick Dunn, and he was smaller than me at 5’9” , yet a great rb and philanthropist. Kelly , Jerry rice , were there but surrounded by body guards and a bevy of hotties! But I digress). Despite all the facts , I greatly resoect Mcd as.a man and coach. I’m not willing to say he will bring home a Lombardi , it’s show me time game by game from now on and not blind acceptance Things like home field in the playoffs matter , they get to the SB MORE. often and that’s where Sean needs to be , not just getting in because his playoff record on the road is abysmal, like his OT record. I’m just kidding a lot of course , but unfortunately we are not the best team or organization yet , but I hope the bills get one, yet in reality , i just lost my 98 year old mom on sept 28th , who attended SB 28 with my dad and I in ATL. Sadly , she never did see the Bills. Win one in her lifetime. I’m 67 and time is running out. Reid knows how to win , when it counts. 31 other coaches envy him , including McD . Which would you rather have coach Allen right here , right now? Lol Right now it’s pretty much heavily leaning in Reid’s favor , but maybe Mcd will learn like he promises. He has had a more favorable starting position than Reid did , as mcnabb was never close to Allen or mahomes. Mcd is a good coach , certainly he is not close to being a hof candidate. Hell, I think Tomlin would do better with Allen than McD. But he’s honorable and like able and it’s not just about Lombardi trophies if you’re an owner. it’s consistency because there are few who can win consistently. Will he win a SB,,, MAYBE , but right now he is just not close to Reid , I don’t care what win percentages are. Experience counts , and just like Reid , Sean may not get one here. He would do well to be 26 years in the nfl , and still be a likeable guy like Reid. Don’t try to raise Sean by diminishing a coach like Reid , who is one of the best in the league. Maybe this is the year? ( Lions, Chiefs, 49 ers , Seahawks , and the jets still are tough games that will define mcds 8 th season) Enjoy every year cuz they roll by fast. Go BILLS. I hope it happens while we both are here to enjoy the moment!

This is my issue with the nfl. So because Coleman at super slow speed has a question if both hands were off the ball , not in control, yet by physics he controlled the balls direction and momentum and it Mohave been touching , being controlled by his torso. The Ball was never dropped , never hit the ground. in tonight’s game Jefferson juggled a ball several times , and yet supposedly control was him pinning it against the side of his helmet with ONE HAND, AND HE MOVES IT DOWN TO HIS ABDOMEN WITH THAT ONE HAND , Sliding IT INTO HIS GUT as he is stepping out of bounds. No time was taken to review unlike the Coleman call, as the Vikings ran to the LOS, snapped it , so the rams. Ouldnt ask for a review. Of course the broadcasters asked the in booth , nfl employed ref if he agreed it was a catch. In 2 seconds he said the company line of yes There is no way they gave the amount of attention to review that call that they took several angles and minutes reviewing colemans catch. . jefferson had the ball with no hands running forward, juggling it, before seemingly trapping it against his helmet right as he went OOB. COLEMAN CONTROLLED THE PATH of THE FOOTBALL THE ENTIRE TIME, it was within his “ bread basket “ and only in slo mo does any issue arise. . He was more in control of the ball for a longer period of time than Jefferson. Yet Jefferson’s catch , juggling along the sideline and trapping it against his helmet ( that’s control, as he moved it from there to his chest / stomach area from the side of his helmet ?) and with no review , was called a catch. The rams never were given a chance to request the review. Neither ball hit the ground , so my point is if control is started with two feet in , both finished controlling the path of the balls momentum and have full control at the end of the play. So either both are catches, which I think any fan would be happy with ,, or both deserve stopping the next play for equal super slo mo evaluation. No consistency is the NFL ISSUE, imo , as the level of scrutiny was not equal and how is pinning a ball against a helmet , but going out of bounds sliding it to the chest area be viewed as a complete catch more than Coleman’s? Then no review of the Jefferson call cuz Vikings got a quick snap off , but because Coleman’s was a score it was broken down for minutes. That’s what is frustrating. If you initiate control , control direction of the ball as you are finishing grasping it , and it never is dropped or hits the ground., that’s a catch by anyone’s common sense Maybe super slo mo tech should not be the go to in catch calls, but limited to very few things like fumbles or breaking the goal line , but wherever it has to be used consistently Two sets of evaluations, not equally applied , resulted in two different results and both plays were decided over the same issue as control. If it didn’t hit the ground while the reliever initiated ball contact , it should be control and a catch. The nfl has overcomplicated catches with camera use and the lack of uniformity is still plaguing the NFL.

If Brian Daboll gets fired, would you take him as OC?DrPJax replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall I don’t think he liked working with McD and that seemed very obvious. You don’t recreate conflict , you move forward to newer insights and visions. They had their window to go to the SB and you don’t go back to thinking daboll suddenly will be some second coming of Andy Reid. , esp when his latest offense is pretty bad. I’ve owned business’s before or been in hiring/ firing positions before , and while daboll wasn’t fired , the relationship was not good. It’s such an uncomfortable feeling. Just like an ex , you can go back but the underlying issues eventually return and it’s almost impossible to recreate that magic.

Apparently the Giants are cutting BoogieDrPJax replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall Boy , that may have been one of beanes worst picks , especially going back to back with Espinosa. Wonder if that’s one of those “ he’d like to have back”. ? Getting cut loose from that dumpster fire of a season/ team is an indictment on his talent level. But hey ' if you have nothing else to do , just come hang out on the PS.” ! How absurd is that? The bills treat each roster / ps slot like they are important , nothing given , only earned. Giants are leaving it open to a move from a guy they just cut ? I understand him getting cut , but being offered a consolation prize , doesn’t seem like legit roster building. Daboll may really be in trouble, and this doesn’t instill confidence in the gm either. I can’t imagine the bills looking at him again , even tho I bet some might suggest that. Pretty significant whiff and hard to understand why he stood out on beans board that year.
