Yeah , hopefully not another of beanes signings like the wr group, that are no better in the past but he magically thinks he will now be better. I don’t get it. If you can’t sign someone you know historically is better , you are muddying the waters and wasting a ps place. It’s like the multitude of d lineman who never have worked out. Or last years wr tandem from the fins. Who only produced in 1/17 games. He’s signs coop , but won’t address a postion losing points almost every game? Even Belicheck made fun of that hooked kick ( never saw any evidence it was blocked) calling or comparing him hitting his four iron! Bass has one singular job bb said , kicking the ball. That’s it. He’s not doing his job, bb would move on. It’s not fair to the other players working their a$$ off ; move on and quit coaching in fear. Do something before the inevitable loss occurs. Home games in playoffs matter. If you ignore this , why waste draft capital on coop? This management / coaching indecisiveness is why we don’t win in playoffs. Edmund’s was here 5 years and look what happened when we stood firm and replaced him. White, po, Hyde, Morse, Davis are all replaced and we are younger , but still in first place. Change this weekend with bass pulling his plant hammy , in a game unlikely to be a one possession nd see what happens. Saying you believe in him obviously has meant nothing since last year. Quit being a boot licker and bring in a more dependable kicker. ✌️ go bills.

Last year was 2023 , not 21 or 22 and he cost us a game at home , besides others , in a playoff run. The issue of 23 is now worse in 24. It’s affecting g play calling and almost this past game. Hard to coach not knowing what is an automatic range for your kicker. This has to be consistent and bass is no longer that guy. Go for someone who is automatic from 45 in , or longer if possible. Can’t have any consistency play calling with him spraying balls at critical times. Leaving 4 points on the field on MNF , changed the game. Why wait till you lose and then change , get a guy consistent from 45-40 in and coach around that. Now Mcd never knows what to do You can’t strategize that way as no distance is a sure thing. Look at him again next year , let him have a hamstring injury that lands him on ir , deal with competition next year.

Wishful thinking but you see what’s out there as a quality rusher. Groot is the Edmund’s of the d line. Good , adequate , not a game changer or someone who can take over a game. Let it play out. If he doesn’t get to double digit sacks as your expected best rusher , let him get bids and match if it’s the right price. He can easily be replaced tho. No new rush moves since Von arrived. He should not be paid high just because he is good at setting the edge. Players can be taught that. Finishing rushing the qb is a special talent , Steelers seem to find guys who can do it , our evaluation process / expectations are not good enough. We lack a premiere rusher. Look what it does for Vegas or the lions if you chose the right talent. Stop drafting on potential , but draft guys who produced in college or elsewhere and can finish sacks. As he currently is, he is just like ej , and we need more. He has been durable compared to Phillips , but that’s expected and not something to reward like a superstar.

Belicheck pointed out in the MNF manningcast that the nfl has shifted the game with penalties now heavily in favor of the offense. These days , all they are hoping to do is get one or two defensive pi calls and they are in scot8ng position. How many drives are extended by a cb barely touching a wr , and back shoulder throws commonly draw pi. Also after 5 yards , cbs can’t touch a wr , and now you see calls of pi in the endzone much more frequently than when I grew up in te 79’s , 80’s etc. Back then they let the lay go on , and it was really rare to see hail Mary plays or long drives under a min succeed. How many drives against the bills were extended after the play was over, stopped by the bills , only to be extended on third and 20 by some over officious holding , roughing the passer .or interference as a ball sailed way overhead as a wr came back with exaggerated flailing of arms to get the pi call, but now you don’t see uncatchable passes being called ? so now Mcd has gone ultra conservative with only rushing two. Every time I’ve seen that , college or prom, the qb gets off an unpressured pass with legs set , torso aligned , under no hurry or rush and the success rate of impossible drives has turned now to,the possible. So this is about coaching , correct personal,, understanding which can hurt you more , a long fg attempt or a Hail May. Now teams are using time outs against Mcd to leave any amount of time on the clock as Mcd gained a rep for poor coaching decisions. 13 seconds , normally a knell down or hook / ladder situation , has turned into expecting Mcd to misalign or not properly coach his players. How does that haooen after the hail Murray? Once was bad enough but he has allowed at least two others. It’s unexplainable with a coach who has such a high wining percentage. Having Hamlin and other smallish guys deep,who are poor ball trackers is just poor coaching. Rushing two is idiotic. . Colleges still,rush 4 mostly or send 5 to rush the qb and get them off balance or get to the qb. I watch lots of football. , andrushing two is rarely seen , other than by McD. He coaches afraid to lose , not to trust his players to get pressure or get home. He puts lineman in no man’s land , wasting them in the play. Until he changes , teams will keep Playing to save time at half’s / end game to test his soft d in one possession games and he so far , refuses to adapt. He coaches always to react , not dictate the action. Against a poor o line, an older non mobile qb , his coaching g was the same as against a mobile qb like fields, Williams , mahomes. He just never adjust despite wasting his time out we all know is coming. So despite time to set up , get correct strategy , sub better ball trackers , he does nothing different. So far he is the worst late game , one possession coach I have seen and perhaps in history. They obviously can’t stop a Hail Mary despite 5-6 deep backs , so why not just go after the qb for a pressure and less accurate release point? So that and so many calls of defensive pi have altered the game , but Mcd won’t adapt. Until he changes strategy, we will see more impossible passes completed against his d in this copy cat league. He got away with it this time as the jest kicker bailed us out. It’s a w , but in a 1 possession game , if they have the ball last , it’s a 50/50 chance to still lose a lead. I wish he would sutvdown with Belicheck and tap his brain about philosophy on closing out games. ,

That will happen if we give up no further Hail Marys , hold on to win a game with a one possession lead and 21.seconds or less left on the clock, and we don’t lose by a kicker missing xps or a fg ! Oh , and we win at least two challenges in a year , don’t get any more illegal formation calls , and don’t get any personal foul penalties while at commercial break, don’t get called for 12 guys on the field. I think that’s a fair starting list to stop verbally complaining about the HC. OH,,,,LAST IS NEVER RUSH TWO AGAIN. There , those are fair trades! ✌️😊

Belicheck pointed out on the manning cast we lack team speed on d and it’s been an issue and attacked by teams for years now. He pointed out that the td run by Henry should have never happened and no one, even with angles on him could catch him , that’s lack of speed esp on first d play of the game. I suggest watching him on the manningcast of the jests game. He broke down several of the bills issues eloquently and imo, is a much better analyst than whiny , cryotochordic Tom Brady who is terrible in terms of adding valuable insight. He also noted we are poor tacklers and need fundamentals stressed. He pointed out the Mcd d goes as the d line plays , not really from the safeties as we all see repeated so often ( don’t shoot me I’m just the messenger ). This d line is not performing well , period. Then the scheme still has cbs mostly off WRs and safeties playing very deep. It’s a recipe for becoming the 32 nd team ranking against the run. The coaching has not adapted or learned. BB called the possibility of either sideline or Hail Mary beforcut happened and explained how hw coached those situations. Was a great watch really; guy has a fantastic football mind and don’t forget , his defensive game plan against the bills in SB25 is in the HOF. He has credibility. I’m not sure Oliver returning is enough alone to fix this. Milano was known for tfl ‘s and was a sure tackler while Williams is adequate , he does tend to miss tackles I believe more than Milano would. Again , watch the first half of the manning cast jets game ; it’s a fine example how a great d coordinator thinks , esp about our flaws. We gave up a large amount of explosive plays and many are long runs with no penetration and slow , hesitant safety play from Hamlin. The d line is not free from its share of blame and I don’t know how you fix that midseason and keep using this scheme that is just inviting the run until it’s stopped , yet unfortunately that tends to happen later in games , or not at all as in Baltimore. Cooper is addressing one huge team issue, putting on or having a replacement kicker is now being addressed. Can Beane do anything to help the d line , can our d coordinator be creative enough to switch schemes or adjust earlier in games is yet to be seen. As Belicheck also stated , if you can’t stop the run , you’re not going anywhere in the playoffs. Beane added coop to fix his earlier misjudgment about the wr corp , can he address the lack of talent along the d line , and can Mcd please quit learning and actually make critical corrections that don’t end up “ rushing two “ , as his late game gaffs are legendary? Teams are gaining explosive plays more and more as they know his weaknesses by now. I would love to see them go after Bb as a defensive consultant , a postion that is surely worth more that the investment in parry to help with rare challenges.

Oregon did same thing to buckeyes , buckeyes front line guy jumped to avoid it but traveled to fast , bounced off him and Oregon recovered. Big change in momentum in a 1 point loss for Ohio state. NFL taking away element of surprise is a bad change imo. Let’s end up with a cookie cutter game , removing strategy , yet they are ok with 220 yards in accepted penalties by a group of refs who were overall terrible, missing or wrong on many calls , but let’s change the entire=kicking game in the name of safety. Didn’t make hutch more safe did it. It’s a big mans , violent game , and they keep limiting the strategy,thinking part of football and it’s heavily weighted in the offenses favor ,,Belichecks words not mine.

Quoting Bill Belicheck, to live in the past is to die in the future. Beane made one move that he was forced to make. It was a move to live now , not waste another season. The Bass move also has to be made. We are lucky he didn’t cost us already. Why not still go for no less than the #2 seed or better? It’s 7 years , many wasted chances. Quit focusing on next season, get the best out of this open opportunity now. If you don’t make a move now w bass , the cooper move is not enough to overcome this uncertainty on offense; we will be forced to make choices on 3 rd / 4 th downs we want to be elective , not forced decisions. Those shanked kicks to me signal a mechanical issue that can’t be trusted. It could recur at any time. You golfers know how fixing a duck hook , or severe slice , involves several mechanical things becoming correct muscle memory. You can’t think your way out of those without pro help usually , and can recur even after you think it’s remedied. Takes time and hours of practice. You wouldn’t go into a match / tournament without hours on the tee doing it till you don’t think about it while standing over the ball. Soon as you are over the ball and you’re thinking mechanics thru in a match , you have lost the confidence to hit that clean shot that feels great and that confidence lack is hard to overcome. Bass is inconsistent and besides all the pressure of the game situation, he’s also thinking about mechanics , like his plant foot etc before the kicks. He can’t be trusted right now ; we all know that feeling when you start overthinking and not just swinging or kicking. He is responsible to teammates for their lively hood, and they deserve production , just like they must produce or lose their jobs. It’s time to change. We have a couple winnable games coming up , we are 9 .5 point favorites Sunday. Shouldn’t be a fg game margin . Perfect time to add a guy , try them at home and get a look. Beane , go for the present , forget the past , it’s time to fix this and not have regrets like last year after driving for the tying fg, only to see another bad miss. Also , the safety position needs improvement. What’s up with Edward’s ? No more useful than mvs at this point. Hamlin is adequate, but without Rapp making huge plays , not sure Hamlin would be seen as being effective. . He reminds me of a lb who made tackles , but after the play was successful 10 yards downfield. and even PO had more ints last year, despite losing a step that was obvious against the fins. Play the rookie , or get some help. What’s Edward’s issue , health or what ? Now he seems like a second mvs, and it’s a weak area that possibly could be addressed. Beane needs to keep working, and seems he still believes we are a playoff team this year. Good first move with coop , now fix kicker as it’s.gone on too long, cost us at home last year and is the last straight forward quick fix. . Last areas to at least consider help is at safety or dline. But those seem like icing on the cake compared to correcting the kicking issue.

We gave a 2025 third , swapped and got a 2025 6 th , gave them a 2025 7 th , 800 k salary cap hit for a guy with 1200 yards last year. So only gave one pick, swapped a sixth we get if theirs which will be high, for our 7 th in 2025 .Macafee and butler on their saw it as a big steal fir hard worker , no problem guy who butler on macafee said is a legit #1 , not quite as good as raider wr , but this is a great trade. Really needed. Hope Brady gets it figured out quickly.

I can’t either with his job depending on towing the line, team access. Never met him , but seems like good guy, but also seems like he knows where his bread is buttered and not beyond brown nosing. With this wr corp not separating , esp against the jets , why do you think it makes passing easy for either team? Just asking , really. Allen having issues but strong arm , Rodgers less mobile but spins it well with good arm. I really think teams go more to running , esp jets with our tacklinG not the best . That wind is going to make it hard to pass. He was wearing wired earphones to protect his brain ( crazy profession you chose to protect your brain , but I guess blue tooth earphones are more dangerous than head hunting lineman, but you do you Aaron!) and claimed wired earphones are coming back in a small group of players in the clubhouse who want to protect their cognitive ability. Ok , so what has that got to do with the coach you “ love “ so much , a great coach , who just got escorted out the door ? Yeah , nothing but Aaron wants us all to believe they are all victims of a harsh business! So tragic , but he had no role in it , except he did say he could have played better. So main thing is season is not over and winning next game means first place So they will be motivated and this HC was a player for 10 years and he gets the locker room culture, real players type coach. So much for all the love for the prior HC. IT FIGURES this happens just as they are spiraling but now get a lift to face the Bills. Just hope we don’t blow this chance to get the season back on track , and it would feel even worse losing to them and letting the heat dissipate from this just , imo, unlikeable narcissist. Man, please get it together Brady , Mcd , and drive a stake thru this vampire ! Go BILLS!

Thank you so much for the kind comments. Just lost power for the first time but just for a few min. So knock on wood , so far this side , east coast north Florida , hasn’t been worse than expected. Central area , west coast like st pete , Englewood , Venice. Are getting slammed with waves and cat 3 , now down to cat two winds as it’s over Orlando. Fort pierce git hit by a massive tornado today on east coast. It’s heading toward port canaveral , Titusville area but now a lower cat 2 , which is where the launches occur with Elon and space x. Tomorrow I fear for the results. They actually had flash flood warnings in st Pete , clear water , areas as they had 9 inches of rain in lesss than 3 hours. A new hundred year record and they are expecting totals to be over 15 inches of rain in 24 hours. Pretty sure large parts of the west coast if Florida south of tampa will really be devastated as I have watched all day on YouTube weather cams set up all around Florida.
