  1. Great find , thx. Allen has done remarkably well at fixing his fumbling issues when he is running rpo’s , or elective scrambles. However the fumble on Saturday occurred when the O line protection broke down , Allen was hit immediately and then he broke free turning into another d lineman who had gotten in rapidly. No time for Josh to escape or readjust his grip there as he fumbled while being dragged down. This type of thing will happen to any Qb when the O line protection broke down. My thinking concerning the Ravens is their d and D coordinator, wink martidale, knows Josh from our last encounter and they experienced his difficulty with blitzes then. Now add Campbell ,a d line playing with confidence , and I am sure we will be seeing Josh being blitzed quite a bit. They can’t afford to let him sit back there and give Diggs and Beasley and tap dancer time to break down their coverage imho. Josh has done well with blitzes compared to prior seasons but since we have no run game to garner respect and slow penetration, my fear is Josh will possibly be sacked 5-7 times with multiple hurries. If that happens he may at sometime be blindsided or revert to his one bad habit of turning his back to the LOS ( this has happened in fg territory over the years and he has several instances of losing yardage in scoring position) with no chance to hit a hot reciever or throw the ball away. That’s the only situation I worry about his ball security. I hope daboll can out scheme martindale. I don’t think we can run against them if Henry couldn’t. Get the ball out quickly with bubble screens on the edges. Quick crossing routes to Beasley, maybe Stills who would be a new wrinkle. Our tight ends will probably be tied up as extra blockers, but perhaps a split back set with Devin/Yeldon, or how bout Yeldon / Williams ( possibly bring up both and let jones be inactive as Williams can do special teams as well) and leak one of them to the side behind the blitz. Just some thoughts because this is a confident, pressure producing d line / D and last weeks some what sluggish production ( at the half I think we were 0/4 on 3 rd down conversions ) if repeated may have us playing from behind and letting them really turn up the pressure. Our d will be our be our weak link and we will need to put up 28-30 I believe to best Lamars production. So help Josh with ball security; don’t set him up to take hits or be forced into scrambling with his back to the LOS. IF we DON’T turn the ball over, we win this game. If we are -1/2 in turnovers, Lamar gets more chances to finally break one on a team prone to poor tackling and they will steal one at home from us. Josh is our ticket to the Super Bowl and I think he has vastly improved his ball security on elective runs and scrambles and this data shows that. Now prepare for the onslaught from Martindale and protect Josh from blindside hits and we win the T/O ratio and the game! Coaching is everything in the playoffs. McD has also vastly improved imho , and I hope DABOLL AND FRAZIER come thru for him !
  2. This is true and I said all this after watching the game a second time after all the emotion had dissipated. I blame this on Frazier. He went back to not rushing guys in the a gaps which was why were successful agains Denver and Miami. Our LBs almost constantly dropped back 7-8 yards off the LOS , THEN WITH THE SNAP dropped back behind the first down sticks. In doing so, as they dropped tight ands and slot receivers kept crossing and our dbs , especially Tauron Johnson who was putrid, kept getting rubbed off and was consistently out of position behind the crossing routes. ALL DAY those routes were wide open , and backs were also wide open in the flats as the dbs also were dropping back. It was so obvious that Rivers was going to the crossing routes that I ( as someone who has watched football since the 60’s , but never formally trained as a coach etc, ) could not understand how Frazier kept the same scheme through the entire game and never adjusted. Had Rivers not made some errant throws, and had the receivers not had some critical drops, we would have easily lost this game. As it was The Colts left 10 points out there going for it on 4 th instead of a fg from our 4 yard line and had the misfortune of a fg hitting the upright losing an almost sure 3 points. Ten points left out there in a game they lost by 3 and came down to a Hail Mary. While our o struggled with field position and conservative play calling , our d did little to contribute as they had 0 sacks against a notably immobile QB. ALSO , go focus on Edmunds. Other than two PBU’s that were good plays , he was owned by Tight ends pushing him downfield or backs and receivers breaking his frequent arm tackles. For such a large frame , this guy plays soft and rarely makes IMPACT plays like tackles for loss , interceptions , causing fumbles etc. The next time he drives his body thru a tackle as opposed to arm tackling will be the first time he hits someone with authority. Great guy , young guy , but being misused IMHO. Why they refuse to play this guy outside and let him play in space is beyond me. If an offensive lineman or even a tight end gets hands in him it’s over as he just fails to ever disengage. Great to celebrate a win cuz a win is a win. To say you can’t see big margins of victory in playoffs is false as please see the browns and even an injured Rams team won by 10. We came in as a hot team and in my eyes Frazier coached terribly and reverted to his style that got us pounded by the Titans and KC. If he goes again with that “ playing not to lose “ or afraid to give up a big play style of defense against the Ravens , they will kill us with tight ends crossing , passes to dobbins in the flats ( who is an excellent receiver) , and getting no pressure on a QB who will make errant throws if pressured will bite us a Lamar will eventually find a lane to take off. . Please be creative, get out of the typical Nickel and bring in Klein so Johnson has his snaps limited. It Frazier sticks to this same scheme it won’t surprise me if we are on the end of something like a 31-27/ 24 home game loss that should never happen with this talented squad. In the NFL coaching is everything; I hope we coach like we had been to get us on this streak and not like we did on Saturday.
  3. You know who surprisingly was a huge fan, was acting all groupie like during the podcast segment , said they were a huge fan of his latest cd which prompted me to go to his website and check it out,,,,,,,,,yep,,,,,,Maddy Glab! Demure, petite , really cute voice of Bills post game and podcast!!!! She is a super fan of rap , knew his whole catalogue ,said that cd was all she was listening too ! She was so overwhelmed , fanboy / fan girl like that Mrs Pegula had to clam her down and reign her in during the live segment with Benny! . Hey , I like his dedication to the Bills. I love rock and almost every other type of music except a large amount of rap with lyrics degrading women ( songs like WAP etc, ), glorifying.violence against police, etc if you get my drift., and I was surprised how tasteless his lyrics were and even the underlying bass beat lines were not that great imho. Maddy was trying to get pegula to commit to having Benny come over to the facility and collaborate or do live music on the podcast! It was funny as Pegula politely would not commit as she was meeting Benny for the first time. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she listened to his latest release! She strikes me a a super nice , open minded woman but she also has a conservative business side in a multi billion dollar industry. it was an interesting segment if you missed it. Hey if he can come up with something Bills and family oriented, I would listen and wish him success. Just not sure that fits his style and I am sure that most recent cd, while listened to by players, won’t have any tracks played over the PA in Bills stadium ! 😀😊😉
  4. Have to say the Bills have obviously worked on their Hail Mary defense. This time did you notice edmunds and Milano were sent ou wide to cover and bump the wide receivers while our dbs were sent deep ? Didn’t give them free running aces to make it downfield and I think only TY Hilton actually made it to the end zone line. Much better than what went on during the Arizona game. Also Hyde took zero chances on catching the ball and ran up spiking it straight down with two hands. Hyde had several great plays today and PBUS. Great to see Mcd and staff paid attention to detail. Also mcds us of time outs has become expert like. A great improvement of time management and situational football since his earlier years ! He may actually be the most improved aspect of our team and is right there along with Josh for becoming a great asset. Hope that’s positive enough for this thread !
  5. Ahhhh, I think Henry won the rushing title and had over 2 k yards this year. Don’t think there is any comparison between Taylor and Henry. Henry has owned us as well. Just as Josh Norman. I am also pretty sure Henry put up monster yards in his final two or three regular season games. Taylor may get there but let me know when he wins back to back rushing titles like Henry.
  6. Yep. That was about his best work. I think I saw two. They were good plays. He got owned the rest of the time. Watch him getting owned by a tight end driving him ten yards downfield on a run to the left sidelines by their second back in. 27 yard scamper. Or watch him dive at the back on fourth down , wide open shot and he arm tackles the guys ankles who then proceeds to easily break the tackle and go for a first down. It’s pretty depressing stuff from a “ pro bowl” mlb. He is good at pass defense but he just doesn’t make interceptions or cause fumbles or often make tackles for loss. Not saying he is not a good guy or leader. Just not what I expect from a guy with his size whose job is anchoring our d. You have to admit when we get beat in TOP , and give up almost 500 yards that something was not great about our d and much is scheme related. I don’t blame edmunds completely as I think he is being misused. I think if we look at PBUs as a maker of what we want from our leading LB, we are setting a low bar. 🤨🧐😀
  7. Yep. I watched the podcast with a Maddie and Mrs Pegula that had Benny on. Then I checked out his latest cd. Wow, gangster thug rap at it’s best. It was so filled with f bombs and things that I could never see the Pegulas using his stuff. They like him as a huge Bills fan and supporter but I can’t see his “ music” every replacing a classic like shout ! 😀😂
  8. Go back and focus on edmunds. He was terrible. Arm tackles which backs and other break , gets stoned at the line , was driven yards backwards by the opponent’s tight ends , drops back all the time behind the sticks or yardage need for a first down and waits for the ball carrier to come towards him as he never drives thru a tackle or hit. If this is a pro bowl lb , guys like Conan , bennnet, spikes, etc should be HOF by now. Milano does cover well , does make tackles for loss , deflected passes today , and does cause fumbles ( was in on the stop that should have been ruled a fumble today). Both LBS today were hampered by Frazier’s crazy’s drop back schemes today.
  9. I agree. Our biggest mistake and my big regret is taking epenesa over JJ DOBBINS in the second round. Just compare their playing time and production this year. We had a chance to get a 1 st round graded back who inexplicably fell. He has power , speed , can catch and is good at pass blocking. We needed to score more this year as our stated first priority by Beane. So we take a slower DE who dropped because of that fact with Our pick after we devoted several free agent acquisitions to bolster the d line and tied up huge cap space there. Results were average at best and our d line still could not even get a single sack against the most immobile QB we have seen. Couple that with an anemic run game all year, and I think we missed badly with our pick. Epenesa’s lack of impact and Beanes one draft questionable pick continues to be an issue as we go along. . We could be getting the same production from Murphy who languishes on on the inactive roster while accounting for a big cap hit. We settled for a true 3 rd round talent in Moss who made his yardage against college inferior talent. He flashes at times, does have good hands but is not consistently productive. Williams, an undrafted FA looked better in his one appearance hitting holes with more decisiveness, while showing good hands as well. Dobbins has 7 rushing tds which is probably more than our backs combined all while being a second or third option in the Ravens run oriented offense. Our backs lack of productivity also puts Allen more at risk for injury as he is our lone consistent runner. I hope we don’t play the Ravens and face Dobbins being a part of a game plan that might eliminate us as our D struggles with running game plans. We can stop one rb we focus on but then give up huge yardage to a second rb like happened today. I just think we passed on a guy who would be paying dividends in our offense while taking a project DE at a position we already were deep at. We only had motor and Yeldon on our roster as rbs at the pick and motor had shown he was unlikely to be a workhorse type back. Love Beane but wish we had that pick to do over.
  10. Rewatched the game thoroughly. Milano passed off the guy expecting white to be there deep. White jumped a guy( resulting doubling a guy cutting toward our Safeties ) cutting to the middle leaving his deep zone responsibility wide open. So someone was wrong. I kind of expect white was based on milanos reaction as he expected deep help. Doubt milano would be crossing that shallow and pulling up to cover a shallow area unless he expected some coverage. So some miscommunication happened. Bigger issue was we were confused all day by double tight end sets , and don’t get me started on motions and crossing underneath linebacker patterns causing total confusion in this defensive scheme. We will lose to either KC , Baltimore , or the Titans , and Tampa bay if we keep the scheme Frazier stuck to today. Worst defensive performance since the back to back losses to KC/TITANS. We were lucky to get out alive. Colts left Ten easy points out there with Rivers just barely missing 11 who was open on 4 th and goal , and their kicker missed an easy fg off the uprights. What happened to the pressure d we ran against Denver and the fins and when Klein was having multiple sacks resulting in being defensive POW honors? Zero sacks and minimal pressure against a known immobile QB is disturbing and will likely get us beaten against any team other than the Steelers. I hope Frazier wakes up as this was obviously a schemed D today and the results were terrible. We lost TOP as we could not get off the field and this reminded me of how Houston came back from a 16 point deficit to win. This was not the team that rolled in riding a hot streak on both O and D. It looked like the team earlier in the year lacking experience from no off season, and there was no evidence of the team that came in winning games by double figures. Happy for the win , but we just hung on as it came to another Hail Mary and this type of performance will not beat higher than 7 th seeded teams Last thing, I am not sure who the OP was watching saying Edmunds played a great game. He defensed two passes, but numerous other plays he was dreadful. Again some of the issue is scheme related. He is consistently lining up 7 yards away from the LOS. On the snap he then regularly,on all but certain run downs ( 1 st downs ), drops back behind the yardage needed for a first down. It creates a huge gap for balls to be thrown underneath to Tight ends , backs coming out , and crossing routes. Rarely does he make hits well short of the first down marker. He is waiting for guys to come to him and they break his arm tackles or push him back after getting needed yardage. Also I saw him get caught up by guys hitting him at the second level , tight ends pushed him yards off plays. Watch the runs to the boundaries. Guys get hands on him and he rarely disengages. When he is up in the a gap he is not strong enough to push or disengage lineman. He reaches to stop running backs and they break his arm tackles way too frequently for a supposed pro bowl MLB! I may post in a separate thread about today’s d performance but Edmunds is not an IMPACTFUL MLB. The main lb making plays was Milano and he saves the D in this Frazier scheme. Loved the outcome as I didn’t sleep last night either in.anticipation. I have to say I was surprised to see how we were dominated for large stretches of this game. We got bailed out by Frank not going for an automatic 3 from inside our 5 on 4 th down , and by a missed fg. Just those two things would have provided a margin of victory. Let’s hope we are BETTER prepared for the next game and go back to what got us here,, a pressure scheme on D and more inventive playcalling from DABOLL.
  11. You do know adderal is a stimulant , right?! Nothing like being drunk and unable to shut down ! Lol! Feel for ya! Adderal can make you really jittery and really anxious so I am hoping either you have a low alcohol tolerance or you get paradoxical drowsiness from your adderal so you don’t end up being up all night and crashing at game time. May need to start a thread for pre game pharmacology for the playoff run ! Best wishes,,,,go BILLS!
  12. Great post! Funny, I actually feel anxious tonight. Didn’t Freeletics that way at all in 2017 /2019. I think the reason is I dint expect much from those teams, and while the seasons were good they did not have the special feeling that surrounds this great season. Now it feels we have so much more to lose if things turn out poorly. It would be such a disappointment after a 13-3 season to go out prior to the AFC Championship game. That is exactly how I felt back in the 90’s with the 4 SB run; I expected us to win then based on the season and that feeling or expectation just grew with each subsequent playoff appearance It feels like a magical year and there is a sense of destiny about going to Tampa and finally pitting “wide right” to rest as a new period of great memories is about to bloom. The PROCESS is about to pay well earned dividends with a group of coaches and players that are deserving and make you proud to be a fan who has stuck with the team thru the good, and the all too much bad of the past 25 years devoid of playoff success. We are right here and the time is finally now! So, yeah, it is a little anxiety provoking and now I am actually glad we are the first game so we can get this journey off to a early and hopefully great start. I can’t listen to any more analysis or experts as all I hear now are people theorizing how the Colts can game plan to beat the Bills. They all mention SB25 and Parcells strategy of running and keep away football. Well, that worked ONCE because no one had done it before and we didn’t anticipate it. That strategy won’t surprise anyone now and we are just as capable of keeping the ball away from the Colts with long drives as they may be. Let’s hope our run D is ready and our O starts quickly and protects the ball. Let’s get to step two in this SB run and qwell all these pre-game jitters ! See you at 1 pm virtually,,,,,,Go Bills!
  13. Funny as I Remember first time I ever was concerned over point differential was during a pre game event in Pasadena prior to SB 27. Was at a dinner event included with the SB tickets I had purchased and at that dinner Hank Stram spoke and had a formula he used to predict the winner of the SB. It included point diff and based on that he picked the Cowboys to “ easily” beat the Bills ! I thought he was nuts, esp side he was an AFL /AFC guy , and couldn’t believe he picked the Cowboys. Turned out to be a fascinating trip. Except for the game. Got to meet Stram , had MEAN JOE GREENE come up to my girlfriend on the flight from Jax to Pasadena and ask for her autograph. He had a copy of people magazine in hand. Hilary Clinton was on the cover and my GF had a close resemblance to a young Hillary Clinton at the time. We all laughed. I asked him to sign it but he turned around after stowing his bag above and went back to his seat closer to the front of the plane. Then , dejected about the blowout I overheard an older couple seated behind me on the plane talking joyously with Cowboys winning locker room team gear on! Their son was the fourth wide receiver on the Cowboys and they were headed back to Jax as well. We chatted about Jax, and the following week the players parents came to my practice to become primary care patients in my office! They followed me for years including SB 28 as the Boys repeated. Funny how memories can be triggered! True stories reflecting on point differential. 😊😉. Hope Strams formula is still correct and we beat the Colts , ( and maybe Tampa bay later) .👍👌💪🏻
  14. Must be 28 th anniversary cuz the bills beat Houston in 93 I believe to go to their next to last super bowl. I remember watching at home as Bills overcame a 32 point deficit to win. That year I made plans and went to Super Bowl 27 I think in Pasadena. Kelly hurt his knee again in the first quarter with Frank coming in and Cowboys romped. Comeback was 1/3 /1993. I Was right on end zone line where Beebe knocked the ball from Leon Lett for only second highlight of the game for Bills. Other was Tasker partially blocking a punt early. Dismal day. Can’t believe number two seed gets placed on short week playing first on Saturday at 1 pm. Reminds me of playing first playoff game with Mcd against Jax, which I think was also first playoff game of that year. Hope this turns out much better. Maybe we correct another wrong on our way to winning in Tampa this time. Get ready to play an encore recording of Whitney Houston’s version of the national anthem in Tampa in Feb as we come full circle!
  15. You forget that strip clubs are essential businesses and so he surely felt it was just as safe as, as, as , as, going to the liquor store to pick up supplies for mimosa’ s in the morning! I’m told there is usually good air flow as fans aimed at the dance floor help circulate usually high quality air found in these businesses. He does have what appears to be a mask like garment on his head which he probably temporarily slid up off his face just to hydrate as he recovered from the grief, sadness and physical exertion post game. Most may be forgetting strippers are young, healthy specimens who live by doctrine of herd immunity as they are known to share viruses, passing them freely so those that frequent strip clubs can help develop immunity throughout the community. I am sure Haskins also is aware if you can’t always stay 6 feet apart , limit your exposure time and that’s obvious as he chose 5 women to share company with so they could limit their conversation time to 11 min / hour ( 5. Min allowed change position, um , location per hour). And finally, it’s obvious Haskins has outgrown the narcissism he was accused of earlier In his career as he provided all of the young women with all matching athletic gear as they may have not been expecting to spend an entire night away from home, family , etc. After a hard day socializing in the rigorous club industry, where it’s not uncommon to be down on their hands and knees cleaning up spilled drinks or fluids that hit the floor from overzealous patrons who like the experience of someone dancing on the unfortunately small tables placed to help social distancing, I suspect Haskins was just empathetically trying to give some working girls a well deserved break from their humdrum careers. Sometimes pictures don’t covey the whole story and I think it’s possible Haskins is just the victim of how social media may be quick to draw conclusions about fine young athletes who have had to struggle their whole lives against oppression and financial hardship, paying their way through college as they focus on possible career paths post football, shrewdly aware the average NFL longevity is 3 years! Haskins was a fine young man throughout his entire stay of ONE long season at THE Ohio State University, so I think he deserves the benefit of any doubt! Hopefully Rivera will give him what he has earned, a third or fourth opportunity at a shot to be a member of the well run organization we all know of as the Red,,,,,( oops) WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM! Merry Christmas and let’s go get that first Super Bowl victory as we begin our decade of domination! Go Bills !
  16. Yep , caught a quick glimpse and I don’t think there is any doubt he sustained his second concussion in a relatively short time frame. Didn’t see. Exact mechanism but did not see some huge traumatic hit that stood out. Need to recheck film but as we know it is easier to get subsequent concussions with less and less trauma. Obviously will be placed in computerized NEURO testing protocol( scat 5). . Given how close the second apparent concussion was , it would not surprise me if this could be season ending. Would be surprised if an independent neurologist cleared him to return within 3 weeks from a second concussion so recently. He may have lingering post concussive symptoms even for a while as things tend to worsen with each trauma. He is a rookie , a backup , and no need to risk his career or even life with too rapid a return. He may be a phenomenal healer but having a second concussion so rapidly( within same season) is a big red medical flag., esp regarding pro football. If he was that woozy from something else ( pain fro a fracture , active hemorrhaging, etc ) perhaps he could return relatively quickly. But if this is another traumatic brain injury , I think it MIGHT be inappropriate to recommend he return before a month, tho there is no absolute consensus on when to return to play. We do know people with multiple tbi’s tend to clear symptoms more slowly. No one recommends returning until 100% symptom free post exercise. Knowing how cautious Mcd has been with things like ankles , partially torn pecs, I find it hard to fathom he will be ready for the playoffs. Think you have to be extremely cautious with someone so young as another brain trauma could risk his career and there is some risk of second impact syndrome ( rare but more common in males between 13-23) as swelling may occur more rapidly with subsequent injuries. Also risk for CTE is cumulative. Just thoughts on multiple concussions if that’s what he is disguised with : sure looked confused , dazed etc. PrAyers for him , heal quickly , but realize football is risky enough without repeated short interval brain trauma. Must think long term imho and hope he is honest about being 100% symptom free before returning.
  17. He does not have sickle cell disease, he has sickle cell trait ! Sickle cell trait is a BENIGN CONDITION , with usually NONE. Of the symptoms or complications of sickle cell disease. It is important genetically as it is passed on as an autosomal dominant trait. Lifespan and mortality are similar to those without the trait. The only exception and it’s rare and John should know his risk by now , is if someone get extremely dehydrated associated with hyperthermia. It’s the same for any athlete with a risk of sudden death from hyperthermia associated with exercise and dehydration , and multiple guidelines have been known for years in the military ( where they push recruits and deaths in even trait neg individuals have occurred. Interestingly more deaths have occurred in Caucasian’s with the trait this in blacks with the trait as most Caucasian’s are unaware they have the trait. ). There may be slight risk of slow acclimation to high altitude but John has played in Denver before and I assume he has no other complicating health conditions ( like diabetes or chronic kidney disease ) that would put him at increased risk. Given the low risk of excessive exercise associated with hyperthermia in Denver at this time of year and also given how hydration is pushed at all NFL AND college football games , his risk just due to sickle cell TRAIT is negligible for mobility other than normal football injuries. He has been out four weeks which should have given him plenty of time to rehab his ankle and knee injuries. Of course all individual heal at diff rates so the trainers will know if he is ready or not. But the sickle cell issue is really a non issue for a professional athlete in this type of environment ( assuming. No co morbidities. ). Risks like splenic infarction are likewise associate with extreme heat , dehydration , and not just altitude like can be seen with SS DISEASE. Risk or occurance with the trait is extremely rare. I would have him available or play him if his ankle is healed. Need this game to clinch afc east. I could see using him as a decoy or getting the lead and then limiting his time. Could be a trap game off big emotional win and Denver has been playing well. Plus he needs to get in contact, football shape. ( my reference for all Med information is latest updated , UPTODATE , professional subscription just updated today. ) I would trust John’s knowledge of his own body as well and if he feels ready to go he should play. Main point is SICKLE CELL TRAIT IS NOT AN ISSUE REGARDING HIS AVAILABILITY! Go Bills !
  18. To make it worse they failed on back to back attempts in THIS GAME! First one called back with offensive PI, then they allowed a second one to be completed. Unbelievable. I would put someone like Roberts in there who is used to fielding punts with the ball coming in from a high angle. Obviously our dbs and safeties can’t defend this. Hopefully we won’t have to learn another hard lesson with a playoff loss to drive home something needs to change. Dbs must quit selfishly trying for the int and just bat it down and also get more physical.as they almost never call defensive Pi on a Hail Mary. That was a nightmare seeing those two completeld back to back today. Thank God Lynn is incompetent oir we lose that and give up an 18 point lead. This team can’t hold leads to save their lives!🙂
  19. I think any blows to the secondary in this game are just not good as the passing game is how Arizona can beat us. Wallace just as depth is a loss if someone goes down during the game. Plus white tends to struggle against Hopkins,,,,see the playoff game and other prior games as Hopkins has stated he likes matching up against white , and also throw a rookie in there with a Hof Fitzgerald and a hot Murray and this is a set up for us giving up some explosive plays. Hyde has a gimpy ankle as well. Murray is amazingly quick , and I have some doubt we will keep him as locked down as Wilson was concerning the run. Kroft has made some clutch catches , something Knox seems to avoid this year. Not saying we can’t overcome this if Josh has a great day, but the margin for error is tightened. Norman has proven thus far to be a huge waste. One decent game out of 9 , posterized by the Titans, and now being possibly lax with his own health / protocol adherence resulting in a net negative for the team. Year is not over but this guy is getting harder to appreciate. 🤔😀. And he sure has made some easy money. Wish they would just IR or cut bait with him imho.
  20. Just wondering , how many games have there been where the winning team NEVER PUNTED, NEVER SCORED A TD ? Pretty unusual I would think. Tried to find some records but could not find this as a specific category. I did see an article in 2014 where the Buffalo Bills lead the NFL in wins without scoring a td at a total of 12 , but again that was in 2014. Could not find how many times we also concurrently never punted in those games. Just seems like without scoring a td, the offense is likely not clicking, and you would see punts during that game. We are part of the record in 1992 where neither team punted ( against San Fran ), but I could not find the stats for winning without scoring a TD in a game while also never punting. Seems like a pretty unusual combination. Most fgs attempted by a single team in a game is 9 I believe. So maybe we witnessed a historic performance by the Bills? If anyone finds out more about that performance ( 0:tds, 0 punts while winning) , would be interesting to know !
  21. Yep , the commentators were noting how he was being benched for “ ineffectiveness” , which Romo pointed out was not an actual measured stat! Three ints is certainly measurable tho. Hope this doesn’t light a fire for him next week; maybe coach B will start Stidham and that would be better for our struggling to contain d line. Running is the main way I see Cam being an issue for us.
  22. I was saying the same thing today about the RPOS. Allen always keeps it. Not sure if he doesn’t trust the rbs or if it’s an old habit from college where he was the best / star player and so he just feels he is “ certain” to get the first down etc. It is a pattern that is noticeable by a novice like myself so I am sure this tendency is being keyed on by opponents. Let’s watch for this next week against the pats.
  23. I was wondering your opinion on whether you think some of the penalties are occurring as josh sits quite awhile at the LOS, trying to use his hard count several times, and it seems to interfere with the lineman coming off at the snap aggressively and also sets them up for false starts. Seems like he uses this tactic much more now with no crowd present. Just a thought and value your observations. I also think Brown, who has more experience in this offense than everyone except Beasley, being absent is a huge detriment to this offense being run effectively. Perhaps when he returns at full health , the offense will approach what it was the first four weeks. I also think incorporating more running plays would effectively simplify things without limiting the type of formations and plays to draw from. What do you think?
