  1. Past hour
  2. I'd trust Bills fans over Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. Also when have you ever heard former players say rookies aren't going to do well. They almost all say they will do well, but yet we know the bust rate is far greater than the success rate. So no I don't really care what these guys say. We will judge with our own eyes and see how he plays. Right now the general consensus on this board is he a more consistent version of Gabe Davis. If that is true then for a second round pick I can live with that. That means he is somewhere around 40-50 catches, 600-800 yards, and 4-8 TDs. Gabe's rookie year he had 35 catches, 7 TD and 599 yards.
  3. I actually liked Esiason on the NFL today. I liked the whole crew, actually
  4. Well, for a guy supposedly that dumb, ol' Terry has done pretty well for himself ... 4 SB rings, HOF, and a second successful career in broadcasting.
  5. I have already shown multiple times that more guns does not equal more gun deaths. In macro and micro instances, we have way more guns then in the 1980s but much less gun murders then at that time. In my neighborhood we have more guns then people but not one gun death, or even injury in the 20+ years I have lived there. The truly connected stat is Democrat run areas and murders. The only more direct link is fatherless homes and criminals in general.
  6. Book a flight to someone place nice for Jan 20th; we aren’t making it past the divisional round. Someone people are ok with that ceiling; other are not. Just enjoy the vacation.
  7. There was also a kid named Gretzky people were pretty fond of. And going back further a kid named Perreault..
  8. Yes, consider that Kincaid had 73 receptions in his rookie season. The “experts” claimed that tight ends usually take a couple years to be a factor. I believe we can expect more from him this season and he likely will be the leading receiver. Hopefully Brady will run plays for him over the middle and down the seam, as opposed to our previous OC having him run short outs and expecting him to get first downs with YAC.
  9. Now we all should be convinced, right? GTFOH The ONLY way to know if this kid is a hit is when he hits the field. It’s been the same way with EVERY prospect in EVERY sport through the history of time, other than Mario Lemieux. Winter sports drafting systems changed because of Lemieux. There has yet to be a prospect in the history of football/baseball that will change the system because of a SUPER prospect like Lemieux.
  10. I'm sure many other front offices are consulting with Josh too, a man for all seasons - QB, coach, GM owner, OC....hopefully this posted in jest! Fire everybody and cx the 2024 season!
  11. Josh's arm strength is shown where he fits the ball into tight windows, where he hits a guy on an out route that is well covered, and such. Throwing a 60 yard bomb is not the be all and end all of arm strength.
  12. Screw it, I went with the rookie. But I think it's possible we have two 1000 yard guys this year.
  13. No. Coleman, Shakir and Samuel are our top guys now. Bring in another vet for depth and teaching, sure.
  14. I largely agree. While I think Van Demark is very likely to make it I do think Grable has a chance to dislodge him. They are similar player in terms of athletic profile. Vandy showed last pre-season that is very good at LT, but couldn't really get it at right tackle. If Grable can do both I think there is a world where they decide to go with him and a vet (I'm thinking specifically Collins in this space tbh). Equally given Beane mentioned Clapp specifically when asked about center the other day I wonder if he has a better shot in the building than we think. I'd definitely like the final 9 to be your predicted 8 and Grable. But will be interesting to see how it plays out. If they are all healthy can Beane maybe swing one of his trade for a day 3 pick tricks?
  15. I'm not looking for your affirmation, so The Chiefs did dismantle us in that AFCCG appearance. Even though it was close at halftime, you KNEW which way it was going to go. They dominated from start to finish. They had Allen so frustrated he was chucking the ball at people while on the ground. The 13 Second game was the next colossal flop by a McDermott led squad. It is one of THE biggest flops in Playoff history. To deny that is to live in delusion. I like how you mention nothing about how we were completely dominated by the Bengals. Out coached, out played, and ran out of our own house. Did we not just lose by a FG attempt that went wide right? Yes, yes we did. The difference this time? It was to our arch nemesis at home in the Divisional Round, and not in the SB. And our defense couldn't stop a nose bleed that game. Nothing McDermott schemed really worked, at all. We were only in the game because of Josh and the Hardman fumble at the goal line. Have we not had 3 OC's on 3 years? Yes, yes we have. I know Daboll got a HC job. There were many people at the time who said they would have rather kept Daboll than McDermott. That we should have made Daboll HC. The relationship he and Josh has been the biggest difference in what we have seen from this offense the last couple of years. The mention of the 3 OC's is talking about the constant change, and instability in that room. Josh is a generational talent, yes, and could probably run an offense himself at this point. Still, I hope Brady is the guy who brings stability and innovation back to that room for everyone else. We shall see. I'm not throwing crap at the wall. I'm speaking the truth. I believe this entire off-season is going to make or break this regime. If the guys we drafted don't look like any of them are going to be impact players, if Worthy becomes a monster in the KC offense, if our WR group ends up as bad as it looks in comparison to the rest of the NFL right now, if Coleman flops, if we are a middling team that ends up 3rd in the division while missing the Playoffs, if other WR's we passed on look good on the field for their respective teams, then this regime's seats will probably be blazing hot in 2025. It will put on full display the questionable choices they have made, as well as everything prior ending back under the microscope, and the talk will be how they are wasting Allen's prime years. And that's IF things play out on the wrong side of the "if's" just like I said before.
  16. I think both Shakir and Kincaid will be up near 1000 yards assuming both stay healthy and I could see Shakir with 900-1200 this year
  17. Same ones saying this was a bad pick said Allen was too.
  18. And he isn't trying to be a favorite, it's just him. Please God let them coach this kid up and scheme him open.
  19. That's right. I haven't even finished my 1st cup of coffee lol
  20. Unless I'm mistaken I don't believe any of the 5th year option money hits until next year.
  21. It's funny...all the former NFL stars love him but the fans think he sucks.
  22. I hope so. Ty is such a JAG. If I can save 350k on that spot it is a no brainer for me.
  23. Depends what team. The Bengals (who have proven to the best to beat the Chiefs) had one of the best deep attacks. I’m not bringing up last year cause Burrow was injured. They would throw the ball down the field a lot with Chase and Higgins. We are trying to be the Chiefs with the dink and dunk… and you won’t do that better than them. Let Josh be Josh and let it rip. McDermott has held him back imo
  24. Stefon Diggs was an elite receiver. Whether he still is remains to be seen - that is fair - but he has six consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. Samuel's best year (which in fairness did come in a Joe Brady coordinated offense) was 851 yards. I would say that is super substantively lesser. Whether he is super substantively lesser than Stefon Diggs in 2024 we will see. But the Diggs we saw for at least 3 and a half years of his run in Buffalo? Yea. Samuel is a LOOOONG way short of that. I think Samuel could have a career year though. John Brown when forced into a #1 role by lack of alternatives had a thousand yard season for us. But he still wasn't close to what peak Stef Diggs was.
