Oh, you mean like the Patriots did when they were winning all kinds of Super Bowls?

Bingo

While well-intentioned, this contract may go down as one of the worst in Bills history and a reason why Josh Allen has not yet reached a Super Bowl.

Nah. He sucks. People still waiting for the light to go on with him will be waiting forever.

I find this interesting. It’s a huge game of chicken, not all that unlike back in the day when hold outs were relatively common place. The league, and the fans, thought they’d moved past all that with the new rookie pay scale. It appears those days are over. The Agents have apparently found what they believe is their new golden goose. We’ll see how it plays out.

That Rams opener was something else. Shame how it played out, but the Bills had one big contract to hand out and gave it to Von. Looking back, what else could we have done with that money to win a Super Bowl? We've pretty much kept everyone we’ve wanted to. Could we have spent on a couple good, not great players in Free Agency to add the litany of those types we already have? Sure.. does that change anything? Benford is great but keeps getting hurt in the playoffs. They made the Rasul trade and weren’t going to supplant him. Linebackers are set, but keep getting hurt. Safety plan has been shown.. Rapp and a high draft pick. OL has been elite for two years now. Running backs set. Paid a Knox plus a high draft pick. WR’s could use help but they literally paid Diggs to play for another team. Bottom line is we need to hit on draft picks, specifically early in the draft where the traits more often can lead to game changing players instead of good, not great. Game changers are rarely available. Only reason Von became available was due to age and the Rams not offering him a third guaranteed year. And we saw what happened..

Sabres Schedule released (Bills/Sabres weekends)
Mike in Horseheads replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Some great weekends there especially Ovie and the Caps on 11/1 and the Chiefs on 11/2 -
What's the hit rate of drafting "good" players in the first and second rounds? Isn't the first round around 60% and the second round 40%? I could see why the owners don't want to guarantee 2nd round pick players contracts if the hit rate for the second round is 40% (if this is correct) Remember, over 4 years, you normally have 4 second rounders on your team, so that's 40Mil in contract guarantees to worry about.

Definitely dont hate him, but I didn't like the signing from the beginning. Too rich of a contract and he was too old. Always looked at him as a mercenary and never a home grown as well, but that's the nature of the beast. His constant bs with recruiting was exactly that too... bs. Not a fan, but I wish him luck. Did he cost us a SB by putting all that cap space into his injured butt... quite possibly. But that is on the brass. Can't blame him for taking the money.

What's overstated? Don't we want Landon to out perform somebody like AJE? Isn't that something we should be rooting for? Or is the goal just process, depth, rotational stability? When we strive to draft pass rushers, we're also hoping they evolve into a game-wrecker like Bruce. Mahomes/Reid are the crisis. And we've failed to stop them. I'm convinced we definitely would've won at least one if not 2 championships if that dominant pass rusher existed. That can't be overstated.....

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

Do a quick google search, you might be surprised what the world looks like from underneath that rock. Like the Mahomes talk should have ended in 2017. -

We know that he is a liar already, but he seems determined to keep proving it.

Italy to Purchase $15 Billion in US Natural Gas By Ward Clark More good news, everyone! An Italy energy interest has just committed to the purchase of two million metric tons (tonnes) per year of American natural gas for the next 20 years, making for a $15 billion deal. That's a lot of natural gas that Italy doesn't have to get from Russia. https://redstate.com/wardclark/2025/07/16/new-italy-to-purchase-15-billion-in-us-natural-gas-n2191721
