Just for comparison, here is the defensive snap counts fotr the Saints game. ABout 10% more total defensive snaps in the Saints game. They reduced Bosa's by about 10%. Doubled Solomon's snaps (9 to 18). Walker has the biggest snap increase in actual numbers (19 to 34), and they played T Johnson a lot more this game. I still think Bosa's snap count is still high but I understand the game situation and Epenesa has an injury that they kept his snap counts to around 20 the last 2 games. So they have to increase Bosa and Solomon's snaps as they are probably the healthiest DEs (other than Jackson who is definitely not ready for action in coach's eyes). The coaches seem to trust Walker more now.

Game week thread - Pats at Bills SNF
MasterStrategist replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
💯 Our Lbs, including Bernard, have been slow to "fire"/see and react fast to the hole. Bernard getting better, Dorian has been super slow reading things IMO - this past week, the threat of bootlegs just had Dorian lost. Deone has been inconsistent, but had his best game this past week at staying with his leverage/technique and playing the correct gap control. Phillips was awful Sunday. Daquan has been slightly below.average for over a year, I fully expect his playing time to decrease when Ed is at full health and Oji returns. TJ hasn't been good at controlling his gap in the run game --- the combo of him and Phillips was so bad that 1st drive, that they split up the Deone and Daqaun combo. IMO, our biggest issue this past week was Phillips. His poor play directly led to us needing to switch DT pairings. We absolutely need Ed back healthy, and the 4 man rotation goes back to being a solid group. Next on list to me has been our DE play. We are being outleveraged on any zone reads/jet sweeps. Luckily this week, I dont see alot of zone reads. But the horizontal jet sweep motion/fakes, are holding our DEs and LBs. We need to "fire" faster at DE as well as LB. So quick response its mostly DL in totality, IMO. Then LB. Rapp has been below avg, but hes the least of our concern --- we are getting gashed up front -
We are in no way laboring to move the ball. Any more than anyone else, anyway. This offense is deadly. And it's not just points. We're second in the league in yards per game, and less than half a yard per game out of first. Second in points, and only one PPG out of first. Yeah, we'll struggle against Spagnola/Fangio. So does everyone. Pretending that what we're doing on offense "doesn't work," is nuts. Flat-out nuts!! Lack of draft resources? A 3rd plus for Amari Cooper. The #33 pick for Keon

I highly doubt that the "rumblings" have any legs to it. The undefeated, defending Super Bowl Champions aren't going to trade their best WR - regardless of whether or not he wishes he was getting the ball more. Brown isn't going to force their hand either. But let's say they did - they wouldn't move him to the team that is almost unanimously considered to be their Super Bowl opponent, at this point. And let's say they wanted to trade him and they'd consider us - do you really think they're picking up that contract? Especially when it's apparent that they believe Josh's success predicates on the kind of Offense where there is no focal point? Like all other huge trade possibilities, it's fun fantasy talk. But the odds of it actually happening? I put it somewhere between 0 and 1%

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Ya Digg? replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills don’t throw deep anyway, so if they had Worthy there would be a ton of threads calling him a bust and a waste of a pick. Worthy does one thing, but he does it very well. Same with MVS-he does one thing….goodish. -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

Knox absolutely seems like a career Bill, and would take quite the cut to stay with the team -
Because his quarterback is a running back lol I like the everybody eats thing, but its not a disqualifier from having a boundary receiver who can get you a play when you absolutely have to have it. Our WRs are a joke at this point. Just bite the bullet. How many times do we need to hand out garbage *** half-measure contracts to guys who are other teams cast offs. Josh is a force multiplier, its a felony to not use it

It makes sense, come to an offense that NEVER highlights anyone outside of the RB

For those who pray, my daughter needs them please

I think she has made some progress physically, she’s up 3 lbs to 110. Her brain just needs to catch up and bring back the girl we know and love. They have her on a 3000 cal/diet plan and it’s exhausting at all levels with the 6 super specific meals per day. I’m trying to trust the process and am inspired by stories of Friends and family who have overcome -
0ct. 15: Bills trade for Amari Cooper Oct. 20: Amari Cooper plays 19 snaps for the Bills Oct. 27: Amari Cooper plays 38 snaps for the Bills No, I don't think there's a serious chance of this happening. He doesn't seem like a guy who would fit will in this everybody eats framework. But McDermott doesn't make vets earn it. Rookies, yes. Vets, no, if they can memorize the plays quickly enough.

Whatever it takes TBH. All things in a vacuum, would Howie even consider moving him to a (cross conference) contender? This is why those of us in the WR camp find the lack of investment at the position so frustrating! Its nearly impossible to get one when you are a contender and especially without a rookie QB deal. WRs have had an uptrend in last 5+ years in being immediately productive, but its not a given. So realistically you have 2 identify one, spend decent draft capital, and develop for a year or two. "31 POINTS! 31 POINTS!!!" Don't want to hear it. We're laboring to move the ball if you watch amd aren't just hawking the box score. Josh will get us the most out of our investment at WR. Its delusional to think we aren't going to struggle on 3rd downs when we run into the Spagnolas/Fangios of the NFL! Do we need to be better on D? Yes! Have we shown to be capable of improving with even heavy resources sunk into it? No. Their is no requirement to win the SB with a top 10 defense *AND* offense. Stop doing what doesn't work, and give Josh some f'ing help. We need to stretch the field laterally and lengthwise. I feel like we could trade defenses I've rosters with Philly and somehow still not be able to use it, or develop it. If were going to use Josh to overcome our coaching and talent deficiencies (at positions), then there are no half measures
