The Cowboys, Overexposed? Maybe. Overrated? .... You Decide
Mister Defense replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does not make sense--they cannot be a top ten team if they have not had almost any playoff success. And they have a dismal record, especially the last few years, against the good teams during the regular season. They have put no fear in almost any good teams, and that is especially true of teams with good defenses. Prescott almost always looks lost, confused, with the old adage, "like a deer in the headlights", an accurate image of poor ol' Zak whenever he faces a good defense. While I do like some of their off season moves this year, such as the acquisition of Pickens, Jones has been a mess as their GM since Jimmy, a true football guy, left in the 1990s. Dallas will never be a fully loaded talented team until Jones gives control of the girls to a real football man--again. One way or another. Top 20 team, maybe, but not a top ten team in the league now or recently. -
Some of the recent nostalgia sequels have been pretty good. The new Beverly Hills Cop: Axle F, Top Gun: Maverick, Ghostbusters: Afterlife were all entertaining. Maverick might be better than the original. Nothing gets made today without attaching the movie to proven IP. As long as Mel Brooks is involved, I think it will be decent.

Your Mount Rushmore for bands from Buffalo
RichStadiumGuy replied to XXXtraAnchovies's topic in Off the Wall
I thought they were still playing but like I said I was never into country music so they're not anybody I'd have kept up with. As far as Primitive Scene/Devils Rock goes I only went there a few times as I worked from 7 pm to 7 am six nights a week between 1977 and 1980 and having a night off on a weekend was a rarity! How about Nightlife... does that name ring any bells with you? They were one of the few really hot bands around here for a while in the early 80's. When I confronted a couple of the guys in the band about doing our wedding one night they checked their schedule and both of them said almost in harmony "might as well... about half of our regular crowd will be there anyhow" :) Being a bartender at one of the area hot spots back then we drew a lot of the same crowd that Nightlife played in front of. -

First of all..."stone cold liar"? What is he, Shaft? Can ya dig it? Second...he's most definitely a politician, he just has to be called on his version of BS. Here's an example where he exposed the world to COVID while implementing strict rules and regulations for the little people of Cali: https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/18/politics/gavin-newsom-french-laundry-california-governor -

This is the Democrat party now. Could you imagine Obama or Clinton doing this? Shameful. -

If they do this then hopefully it is good. Usually, sequels bomb from the original. Caddyshack to Caddyshack 2 or Grease to Grease 2 as examples. The only sequel I thought was better than the original was Terminator 2. Both were good movies, however.

Bengals bungling things up - new rookie contract clause
MJS replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have been to two AFC Championship games and have the most playoff wins since 2020 besides Kansas City. The Bengals, meanwhile, have only made the playoffs twice. They went far those two years, but they don't have a superbowl win either. They had a short window and that window appears to be closed, now, even with one of the best QB's in the NFL.
