  1. Past hour
  2. A liberal never to be heard from again on a far left network. All he had to do is ask for evidence.....and poof. Banned.
  3. Lots of guys not practicing. Shakir being week to week sucks, but assuming he'll be fine for the regular season.
  4. Season is basically over for Hairston with this injury and the missed practice time. McDermott won’t play him or trust him. Shakir should hopefully be fine. Don’t need to see losers like Shavers on the field.
  5. Just further evidence that being named pro bowl alternate is meaningless
  6. Shakir with a high ankle sprain mildly puts Week 1 in jeopardy. Should be good to go by then, but off chance he could miss it.
  7. You're being charitable. I was thinking orange jumpsuited, picking up trash from the interstate shoulders. 🤨
  8. My grandmother is 94 years old and still going strong. Has her own apartment. My last living grandparent left. I really hope she can continue to keep pushing on
  9. Miami always looks awesome right up until the temperature drops below 65⁰.
  10. Sharing my 2025 lawn mower journey in case it's useful to anyone. I have 1/2 acre that is a bear during growing season, gotta mow it every 4-5 days to keep up which isn't always possible. Going into 2025 I had two gas mowers and three lawn mowers (me and two sons). It became obvious early season that I was going to have to replace or fix one or both of my mowers so I was following this thread. The older one had issues with the self-propelled drive and I thought I had that solved by replacing the front wheels as the drive wheel gears were stripped. Shortly thereafter the frame on the newer one cracked rendering it completely useless. I thought about salvaging the engine and putting it on the older one but that looked kind of daunting and regardless I was in the market for a new mower. I considered an electric mower but wasn't convinced that would be a good option for my 1/2 acre so I bought a Toro gas. The big conundrum was front or rear wheel drive. I always had front wheel drive and what I read was that rear wheel was better for hills (I'm mostly flat) but you could tear up the lawn when turning with a rear wheel drive. Toro I bought was rear wheel and that turned out to be a complete non-issue due to the way you engage the self-propelled drive. Love the new Toro with one exception: the handle is way to high and a major pain in the @ss when I'm mowing around the edges/hedges - handle constantly gets stuck in low-lying branches. In the mean time, replacing the drive wheels on the older mower was an improvement but the drive was still no bueno. Tried replacing the drive belt but that didn't help much and so I was back in the market for a second mower. Knowing the Toro could handle the entire lawn I was more inclined to go electric and ended up buying an Ego - rear wheel drive. Made sure the handle was lower addressing my only issue with the Toro. Used it for the first time yesterday. The Ego is capable but less powerful than the Toro and the one issue is that when you're turning it you have to disengage the drive (or rip up the lawn) and there's a delay when you re-engage that is annoying af. Only did half the lawn and the battery was just above half charge so it might be capable of doing the whole lawn on one battery. Looking forward I may have to replace leaf blower and/or weed whacker in the next year or two and I'll look into Ego (brother in-law has been happy with both) especially if batteries are interchangable.
  11. I won't be able to do regular updates today if anyone wants to pick up the responsibility.

  16. In honor of his 100th birthday, I want to share my experience with Marv Levy. Back in 2003, I wrote the local best-selling book Buffalo Soul Lifters and was doing a lot of appearances at local bookstores for autograph signings. It was the same year that Marv’s autobiography came out and was the talk of the town all over Western New York. I was scheduled to do a signing at the bookstore in the old Main Place Mall one Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. A couple of days prior, I was reading the sports section of the Buffalo News (remember when we used to read hardcopy newspapers?) and it said that they had Marv scheduled at the exact same time as me. I called my publisher and asked him to look into it. He got back to me and said that they forgot that they had me scheduled, and they had jumped at the chance to get Marv. He said that I was still welcome to come if I so chose. I asked him what he thought I should do? I didn’t want to show up and look like a mook just sitting there across from Marv. The publisher told me that I could do what I would like, but at least I knew if I went that there would be lots of people there. I decided to go. When I showed up at the mall that day there was a scene unfolding that I was not prepared for. There had to be at least 3,000 people in the mall creating a snake line that went from one end of the mall and back three times over. The thing was, Marv’s publisher had greatly underestimated the public desire for his book and hadn’t published enough copies. If people had not pre-ordered the bookstore had none to sell them that day. People began coming up to me and asking me how they could get Marvis book? I told them that there were none available. No one was asking me about my book. Then I had a brainstorm. I took a copy of my book and I autographed it and put in a personalized note to Marv. I walked over and introduced myself to Marv and his lovely wife Frannie. I explained to him that my book was sort of like the Chicken Soup For The Soul, Western New York edition. I also explained to him that one of the chapters detailed an interview I had done with Jim and Jill Kelly concerning their son Hunter’s brave battle with Krabbé disease. I told Marv that I did not want him to be the only one leaving that day without a signed copy of a book. I also told him that obviously all of these people had shown up to see me but I would try to push a few his way. 😀 He and Frannie had a good laugh and they couldn’t have been kinder. As the day went on people continued to come to me to ask me how they could get Marv’s book. I told them that there was no chance, but they could leave with a signed copy of the book that Marv was currently reading, Buffalo Soul Lifters. Then I would motion over to the Hall of Fame coach and they would see that indeed, Marv had a copy of my book right in front of him. The bookstore had 120 copies of my book at the beginning of the signing and none were left at the end. Marv did pretty well himself that day. 😀 It’s a memory that I will always cherish and I can tell you firsthand that Marv is truly the wise, articulate and gracious man that you see on television. Happy birthday, coach. Here’s to the next 100.
  17. For the record, I don't think Dallas ends up trading him. But - woke up this morning and realized if they did surprise and did trade him - then we need to be the one to go figure it out and get him. What he would do for this defense, even with his liability as a run defender, would be franchise altering based on where this roster is at. Yeah exactly, he wants to be the one controlling the situation, told fans don't even lose any sleep over this - cuz there is no intent to trade him at all. For Dallas to trade him, it has to be because Jerry wants to, not because the player wants it. So I agree, he loves this and the odds of Parsons being moved are pretty low IMHO.
  18. Jerry currently has two players who want out so they say in diggs and parsons. Jerry laughed at them the other day when he talked to the media. He had some crazy quote about momma and daddy. jerry loves this, the cowboys are being talked about and that is the end game to all things Jerry.
