I think Davidson and Hamler got passed over for other vets like Phillips, the Guards, Dane, Franklin and Po since you can only have 6 on a PS I believe

If anything there were times where I wanted us to open up the passing game more. The Rams game would have been a blowout loss if Allen didn't start throwing lasers downfield. Two big completions to Amari Cooper are what won us the KC regular season game. Two big completions to Mack Hollins are what kept us in the AFCCG. Reverting to low % chance passing attempts didn't lose us that game. Quite the opposite - we did so many short yardage plays the game came down to a referee spot. It all seemed pretty "chalk" to me. I think Dane and Forrest not making it was a mild surprise but given how neither performed that well in the pre-season and camp I wasn't surprised to see Dane on the PS given that McD would like to have some vet depth at CB even if Dane starting or playing is a bad sign it is at least someone who can plug in semi-serviceably (hopefully) very short term if a lot of injuries hit all at once. Forrest I thought could push for a starting spot but he looked like a player who was camp fodder as opposed to someone with some starting NFL experience given the lackluster camp/pre-season he put in still not a shock.
