  2. Do people not realize that in negotiations, you don't start by throwing out the number you are expecting to get? It would be pretty dumb to start negotiations saying you'd take $12M. He starts high, the team starts low and you meet somewhere in the middle. That's how negotiating works.
  3. I feel your pain! I am part of a big mens group with a lot of big hitters in it from media, tech, music, leadership, business, etc. that meets every Saturday and has all these guest speakers come in. I remember sitting in the theatre on Saturdays (now we meet via zoom on Saturdays) listening to some of biggest crypto people in the game tell us all the time to just put $10k in Ethereum and let it sit. Same people who told them to buy bitcoin when it was worth nothing too (I wasn't in the group back then). Ethereum was at $6 then and that $10k would be worth based on todays price $7,888,033! I think it about all the time as I had the $10k to do it, but buying crypto was complicated back then, nothing like now to buy or use it, so I just didn't have the time or bandwidth to really dive into it as I had so much already going on with two businesses I was building and running at the time. There are guys in the group who literally made hundreds of millions getting in early on Ethereum in that group who now live in sick places in like Bali, Dubai, Costa Rica, Malaysia, etc. Oh what could have been lol.
  4. 2015 wasn’t great either. Honestly, QBs are just rarer than hen’s teeth.
  5. This is it. We had no QB then, and we do now And Buddy knew it. But they had to get a QB in a year where there just wasn't a good QB option in the draft. The best QB in 2013 was clearly Geno Smith, but he wasn't any good until - what? - eight years later? Ideally they should have done what McDermott did in his first year, traded way back to get good draft capital for trade-ups the next year. But even the next year who was the best QB in the draft? Either Derek Carr or Teddy Bridgewater. If handled better, would either of these guys have had better careers than they have? Maybe. That two-year stretch is one of the worst periods to draft a QB in NFL history.

  7. Marshawn has made it clear that he blames a group of police here for targeting him. That had to do with that cop's wife saying that Marshawn had stolen a $20 from her. He wanted out, badly, and not because of the team situation.
  8. To be fair, we had a pop gun offense and desperately needed game breakers. And that was still the tail end of the era of the running back, where an elite back like Adrian Peterson could drag a team to the playoffs.
  9. Alfred Nobel was progressive, anti-nationalistic and anti-conservative. He was woke of his time. He would have hated the prize being awarded to Trump. And Trump should not want such a woke prize.
  10. Oddly enough, even though crypto is considered a sort of rightwing or libertarian bro thing to be into, my woke AF activist BIPOC wife got us invested in ETH and BTC years ago. Only reason we were able to buy a house here in SoCal.
  11. I am hoping this is a success and end's up well. Extremely important.
  12. So happy for James and the morale of the team as a whole. Cook was T1 in TD's and T2 in all purpose TD's. The heart he showed on that goal-line diving td against KC showed his desire to do whatever it takes to help this team succeed. We got em locked for 4 more years. Keep working on his blocking and gradually increase his snap count. We'll need him on the field in late game leverage moments.
  13. It's our time in the AFC. I expect to see one of either us or the Ravens in the Super Bowl this year against the Lions, Commanders or Eagles.
  14. Guy had a random scapular fracture as a rook, but still played in 16 games, started 4, and started.pur playoff game against the Chiefs. He had no significant injury concerns in college. He's barely a year into his career. If he doesn't start and misses 5+ games this year, then you can label him a red flag. I expect him to show out as the season progresses.
  15. Interesting point. Don't know if this has been noticed yet, but if it has I haven't seen it. Both Spotrac and OvertheCap have the contract total at $46M, not $48M Also, OvertheCap has the FULLY GUARANTEED money at $15.28M. (Ah, Spotrac agrees.) I'm sure the rest is guaranteed against injury, but this looks like the contract numbers originally released had been plumped up a bit, probably by the agents. Surprise, surprise!! This legitimately is a risk they're taking here. IMO if Cook stays healthy it'll look like a good risk. If he gets injured, particularly in the next three years, it will be a contract that bites the Bills. Cook is young, he'll turn 26 late in September, so this contract goes through his age 30 season. They're likely to keep limiting his snaps, or so I believe anyway. There's a decent chance he stays healthy through his age 26, 27 and 28 seasons. Only a part of that next season four years from now, will be guaranteed, and we don't yet know how much. But he could probably be cut (if it's for performance or financial reasons, not for injury) without any cap problems, before the the third year of the extension, 2028, if he starts regressing or has problems with injuries cropping up.
  16. Interesting stuff, cool story; I remember hearing Jim Richter had become a pilot. I’m guessing your airline was AA.
  17. It's all one window, a window that is open from 2020 till Josh gets too old. You say, "NFL windows are short," and that's nonsense. Some NFL windows last a year. Some are short. Some are a bit longer and some are damn long. The Pats window lasted like 16 or 17 years. The Chiefs six years so far. Ours has a long way to go.
  18. I saw him at Giancarlo's and he certainly was eating
  19. Tone it down… Hijacking a thread?… Surely you can’t be serious… This place is stiffer than a catholic priest at a Chuck E. Cheese’s.
  20. I know, and the measly 18 touchdowns. Just give the ball to someone else. Plus 4.9 yards per carry is trash.
  21. I agree with what he said but transition was a bit odd I thought. He’s a good dude and coach but still not sure he can deliver the Lombardi. Who knows though.
  22. Probably not worth it’s own thread but found Jordan’s response to giving away a Dolphin jersey funny. Loved him as a Bill. Interesting dude. He looked washed last year with us and last year but what a warrior in his prime. Driving to KC with the broken rib….. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2025/08/jordan-poyers-blunt-five-word-response-about-dolphins-jersey-has-bills-fans-in-stitches.html?outputType=amp

  23. I mean, maybe? Training Camp depth charts don't mean a whole lot. But combine that with Codrington starting the game and it's hard for me to say right now that they view Shenault the #1 Returner. Things can change and Shenault could be the lead Return man at some point in the Pre-Season. But again, until I see that, and perhaps Codrington being showcased later in the final games, I don't believe they view Shenault as above Codrington.
  24. I wanted to hear Adonai Mitchell. As he continued to slide, word came out why he slid and I thought "okay, Keon makes sense then". Bc as far as what we needed, Keon and Mitchell were the only two worth taking there and then I felt there was a drop off after them. I was shocked to see Ja'Lynn Polk go 4 picks later but it just went to show how slim the pickens were if you wanted an Outside guy at that point.
  25. Talent gets you on the field. And Hancock has that. He started on the Buckeyes Nat Championship team. So he can play football. He will be good for us. And he has a much higher ceiling than Lewis and Hamlin.
