  1. Past hour
  2. Ya know.. the Bills are an awesome football team. They’ve been near the top of the league for half a decade + — awesome with a capital “A”, baby! But from this position, there is a difference between the Champions and team #3. This front office and staff has to keep pushing the buttons for as long as Terry and Kim are behind them. The third element to it is the players. I hate to say it but I’d rank the three units for fulfilling their job duties towards winning the Super Bowl as 1. players; 2. front office; 3. coaching staff. I believe one of the reasons that if a coach/quarterback combo (or coach’s tenure) doesn’t win the big one in the first few years together (or whatever) or not at all is because of over exposure—other teams figure them out. Since Allen is a much better football player than McDermott is a football coach (no disrespect intended here.. McD is very good) I believe it will be Beane firing McDermott and not the other way around if this doesn’t get done in the next three years. McDermott and HIS STAFF have to evolve and stay ahead of the curve, instead of being typical trash on defense in the final game of the season each year.
  3. My take still stands. Way too many fans that start podcasts centered around the Bills. This guy, not a fan. Didn't know he was a player, I also don't google every single podcast host of a bills show. I also don't think every single ex-nfl'er needs to do a podcast. But didnt mean to ruffle all your feathers over a former Bills lineman. Whoops
  4. Perhaps before making assumptions, a simple Google search might come in handy? Just a thought...just a thought...
  5. I was 7 when he retired....but thank you for the history lesson.
  6. There was a site that tracked man games lost to injury for many years, and the Bills were far and away the lowest team on the list over that time, never being outside the top 6 lowest injured and in the few years since based on other content I've seen, Bills were very low on their as well. Pretty good resume for a "fan" huh? This take is going to age very poorly I predict...
  7. Yes that's what success rate refers to
  8. Great interview. Good questions and some pretty open answers. He talks about needing people around him during the draft to stop him from trading up in the mid rounds. 😆 I do wish he had that feeling about 1st round talent. Cool to hear about Josh texting him players. I wonder who is on that list!
  9. I’m not sure how that graph defines “clutch”. I think points scored is critical in the postseason where with general performance on bigger samples advanced stats are perfectly reasonable. In game winning drives in the playoffs, did you score or not? That is all the matters. As far as I recall Josh has had 4 drives, 2 vs Houston, 2 the last two years vs KC. He got three to tie the game vs Houston. Punted on the first OT drive. Missed FG vs KC and then turnover on downs vs KC. The rest of that work has to be 13 seconds. As far as executing ( scoring the required points to tie or take the lead) on drives under 2 minutes. I would be very hard pressed to believe anybody is better than those two. I’m sure it is clearly displayed in number of occurrences, % if successful outcomes and other stats.
  10. Sorry, do what? I have no idea what you mean. edit: I’m an idiot. I thought you meant for me to do something. Long day. The baby had a rough night. thanks for the balanced post. 👍 Also: BDS!!! 😉
  11. You’re not wrong 😂
  12. It’s a sprain, not a strain. Sprains affect ligaments and can involve partial tearing. Strains affect tendons or muscles.
  13. I think it's time you go to bed for the night.
  14. I’ve always been fascinated by watching film of the “wishbone” offense and the “46” defense. I know there are variations of this that work in the modern NFL, but could teams get away with making one or both of these their main strengths? I hear the arguments that defenses are too fast for the wishbone to work and teams would kill you with the pass if you tried the “46” most of the game. What say you?
  15. Lets just ignore the fact that the defense has given up 34.75 points to KC the last four playoff games against them. I suppose thats Allens fault as well. Give Allen a defensive performance like Philly gave Hurts in the Superbowl and we win by 35 in any of those games.
  16. I don't think Hamlin is going to start, it think it's Bishop and Rapp for the starting safties
  17. Hamlin better not see the field. He does not have “instincts” he’s lost out there. If he’s a regular in our defense it will not end well. Better hope Bishop takes the next step or Hancock is the real deal. Also, please PLEASE Rapp just chill with the trying to kill people every play. We don’t need our corners getting speared from his wreckless head first tackling anymore. I really hope Hancock or Forrest show something and Bishop was worth that 2nd round investment because too often last year our corners were left on islands because Hamlin was clueless in pass coverage and Rapp was head hunting. BUT after saying all of that I do think our corners will be much improved. A healthy Benford, Taron and Tre along with the speed and upside of Hairston is exciting.
  18. Today
  19. Lol, the guy who just came out from under the rock appreciates being brought up to speed!
  20. I think they’ll be quite good this year, with or without Hairston. Strong looks pretty strong. Safeties are good, I’m gonna say Hamlin goes for 4 Int’s this year, maybe 5 if that D-Line works out. If you look at the schedule, take Baltimore away…there’s a lot of lay ups there for a McDermott defense. Somebody is going to eat on the back end. Benford has never been a stats guy, and I think somehow by default it’s Hamlin because in the regular season at least he has instincts
  21. I was 7 when this guy retired. Apologies I didn't know about an obscure lineman with an unremarkable career. Take yourself to bed.
  22. AFC east champs: Buffalo AFC west: Kansas city AFC north: Cincinnati AFC south: Indianapolis NFC east: Dallas NFC north: Detroit NFC west: San Francisco NFC south: Atlanta AFC Wild Cards: Baltimore and Denver NFC Wild Cards: Green Bay and Eagles *Bills and Bengals in AFC championship game *Dallas and San Fran in NFC championship game Buffalo over San Fran in Super Bowl 🏆 Offensive rookie of the year: Ashton Jeanty Joe Burrow: MVP Penix gets injured and Cousins leads Atlanta to division title. Sack leader: Micah Parsons
  23. The Bills roster seems to be filled with guys who are willing to put in the work to be the best they can be.......obviously this starts with McBeane brining in guys with that type of mentality. Good to hear Bishop is putting in the work, and I expect to see that work translate to the field this season with a big jump in production. Now he needs to put in the work to find a better barber....that haircut doesn't scream intimidating hard hitting Safety.....he may have gone to the same Barber as this kid:
  24. That Brady and Mahomes are in some playoff clutch tier of their own
