Yea that's a bad look for Beane. Was Ingram a critical piece? No. But did he provide some useful depth? Yep. Should you throw that away for a 34 year old? No.

The problem there is that when you claim a player on Waivers - you take on the responsibility of the contract signed by the team that waived them. So if we just waived him ourselves and he went unclaimed - that contract stays on our books. So we'd be taking on his contract for the year and have lost Ingram for nothing. And it's likely he would go unclaimed. As just us and the Eagles claimed him. Now teams know he won't play for anyone but the Eagles - including the Eagles. So why would they put in another claim and take the responsibility of the contract off our hands when they don't have to? The move is simple. He plays for us or we put him on the "Did Not Report" list. With that, not only are we off the hook for his contract - we could even look to recoup some of his signing bonus if we wanted to. I don't see how putting him on the "Did Not Report" list would hurt our reputation or why we should hurt ourselves further than we already have to help out someone who screwed us over.

Belichick was a big different. Not only because the results had been so poor but because he was the de-facto GM too and on that side of the fence deserved his firing. Honestly I wouldn't have fired Reid either. The whole "it's gone stale, fire the coach" logic isn't really for me.

I'm guessing the Bills will just release him and sign another CB which I agree with. Reputation is far more important than CB#4 depth.

Where does “4 days ago” come in? Is this another “Karen Bass has only been in office a few weeks” routine? Brilliant. You seem to struggle with either the calendar or math itself. Both of you make fair points. The Beane and McD era has reached its peak and appears to be regressing. I don't really see much upside to having them continue here in Buffalo. They had a nice run but I think new blood is more than welcomed. We can appreciate their success and acknowledge that football has been a lot more enjoyable the last decade or so. Nevertheless, I believe their messages, style, decisions, drafts, coaching schemes ,etc... aren't in a direction of a super bowl win. That's the bottom line and goal here. The team is flawed and lots of that falls on Beane,McD, and the coaching staff. Doesn't mean they suck because both would get scooped up in a heartbeat. It's time to move on and give the team some new hope, energy, philosophy, schematic changes, etc... Change is needed; don't fear it rather welcome it. Go Bills. A model franchise that can't even sniff a super bowl. I think the perception is the Bills can't get it done in the playoffs. Nick Wright mocks the Bills for winning their super bowl when the Bills beat the Chiefs in the regular season. I think you are really overstating the perception angle here.

I expect the Bengals to do what Miami did. Load up the box with 8 or 9 and dare us to beat them with the pass. They'll also cheat guys in to stop the passes behind the LOS. It's gonna take some good strategery to beat this but it's doable. Hopefully some good scramble drill plays and quick hitting passes to guys schemed open somehow. More passes to Cooks. I like the idea of keeping Turf Toe Joe off the field, but if we go this route we have to score TDs. Can't have drives stalling out or settling for too many FGs. If Coach McDermott and his defense can slow down Burrow, Higgins and Chase they deserve something really great. Should be an interesting/tough game. Hoping for a Bills win.

Forgive me. I don't know if anyone else in this forum is like me at this point and comes here as much (maybe more) for Bills news than discussion... but the fact that the other thread hasn't changed the title to acknowledge Slay ain't coming and we will now have an open roster spot that will not be filled by a player we've had on the team developing for years now because he was claimed by a Conference rival playoff contender is a little frustrating. if I'm alone, sue me.

That’s pure blather. Why would you ever “pack up your family” to go live in Buffalo at this point? There’s a couple of months left in the season. Go find a nice hotel or live with one of the guys. Maybe try to win a Super Bowl. That reason was fake. Not sure what’s up, but he didn’t want to come play.

They were in the AFCCG two years ago, which is just as far as we have gotten.

Personally, I'm a fan.....heck, I even listen to it during "Christmas in July". I like to listen to it while I'm putting up the tree or opening presents, but I am happy to listen any time during the Christmas season. I know this is not the popular opinion with a lot if people.......so do you like listening to Christmas music or not?? If not, why not??
