Let’s go Buffalo Joe!!!’
-
These are the exact type of contracts that grind my gears. Middling (at best) players but we are obsessed with maintaining a floor and pay over the odds to do so. Taking a chance on something different (FA or rookie) and use that money to pay top end players. Difference makers. Rather than players who make no difference
-
The guy who it took 17 games to make 1000 yards and only scored 4 rushing TD's in his career before last year where they were trying to reduce damage to Allen with a broken hand?
-
The first para is only true if you are looking at the micro. Its about the macro. And the owners will not be successful in cutting the percentage (its 48%). If anything yhey may have to increase it or offer another concession to get their 18th game.
-
Ah good catch. I hated both those deals.
- Yesterday

But wait, didn't James Connor make the probowl rushing in 2018? And didn't they decide in the offseason yo move to a more passing offense resulting in Roethlisberger throwing for over 5100 yards? Just want to get all the facts.
-
Epenesa, and Hamlin also. (Although not big contracts)
-
Surely this is no more or less naive than believing Cook is in the right when your own long list of players ALL got this done quietly and quickly!? The list is the proof of the quality of the Bills' offers.
-
Yeah, he’s stealing money from the next guy like Diggs who they just paid $31 million not to play for them and the rotational defensive linemen who got suspended for PEDs that the Bills just gave $20 million guaranteed. Why would you pay market value to the guy who just put up 134 yards and 2 TDs in the AFCCG after scoring 18 TDs in the regular season when you could save half a percent of the salary cap and give it to guys who are going to be suspended for cheating?
-
I was being facetious but since you bit, let’s say he has a preseason injury that affects the upcoming season. He just lost his best chance for the top dollar contract for his entire career. If I were him, I’d hold in until the regular season and then take my chances. These guys on rookie contracts have zero leverage. He’s using the only tactics he has at his disposal, and it’s better than requesting a trade, which is laughable.
-
If he was the GOAT, is he still the GOAT? It's way to early to annoint Josh
-
Ok, cool.. go back and pay Karlaftis 30M per year then. After all, it’s not your money.
-
i think they are too far apart. if a deal was to be made, it would have already been done.
-
You can't be this naïve right? I mean seriously I am not trying to be mean but do you have any idea how the NFL works? Did you complain that Josh and Shakir and Rousseau and Oliver and Benford, and Bernard all got contract extensions before their deals were done? I think the only player that hit free agency and came back to Buffalo was Milano.
-
Just curious, why would the Bills have to be overly cautious? If they want to put injured players back on the field too early two weeks into camp there is no benefit in doing such.
-
You’re probably very close to the magic number.. You’re being realistic and any real Bills fan should know the sooner we get this deal done the better our chances for the better part of Josh’s prime.
-
2018 Steelers went from a 13 win team to a 9 win team with Bell holding out. They went from 20th in rushing to 31st.
-
This one has me a bit concerned as well. Even just missing practice time isn't great. He's a guy who could use reps
-
Nope not if you have spectrum.
-
Have you ever had to call 911 for anything?
Talley56 replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
I actually had to on a few occassions but they were mostly due to being in the area of car accidents. One time I called because I thought I was having a health episode but it turned out to be nothing. I just felt like it was better to call and find out it's nothing serious than not call when it really is. -
Ship his ass to the Saints
-
I get what you're saying but the cap goes up every year - and everyone knows who spends to the cap or doesn't. So someone on that 53 is getting paid. It's only about the distribution in the end. FWIW I think next time round owners will be looking to cut down from whatever percentage players get right now (think it's 48% or 49%, not sure though)

🚨 BREAKING: Russia Gate architects such as John Brennan are likely to be charged with CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, per Mike Davis "When you have an ongoing conspiracy, when you are covering up that conspiracy, the statute of limitations does not begin to start tolling. So this is ongoing criminal conspiracy." The specific charge could be conspiracy against rights under 18 U.S.C. Section 241 "I would say to these lawfare Democrats: lawyer up because justice is definitely coming," @mrddmia said This is in addition to perjury charges for lying in front of Congress.

I don’t care eitherway. I want #4 paid fairly for him and the team. James needs to be careful. He could land at a bad team, bad OL. There is a middle ground. Josh made the choice to hit the middle and have more fun.
