  1. Past hour
  2. It’s not about picking a magic number like 70% of the total tax burden that stat just reflects how much income the top 10% already control. What actually matters is the effective rate they pay on their income and wealth. Right now, billionaires can pay 3% while a teacher pays 13%. So no I don’t want them paying 100% of the tax burden. I want them paying at least the same effective rate as the people who don’t own private jets. That’s called fairness, not fantasy.
  3. There is plenty of room to accommodate everyone looking for a couple tickets. The issue is greedy people using multiple emails to source tickets and then sell the tickets they got for free on the secondary market. Stubhub already has listings for individual tickets for $70 dollars a piece.
  4. Good to see you posting again, been awhile. I am not sure what Miami is doing except finding a trade partner for a very unhappy Ramsey. Minkah had a heck of a run . Is he done ? not sure But he is back home in Fla This trade is worth following into the season. Getting Smith should be a big + for Steelers. Should be ...
  5. Not Mt Rushmore worthy on the field - but Kevin Everett comes to mind.
  6. Tasker McGee Moorman Christie Hopefully in time Bass will take his place on this list.
  7. Rob Johnson because he started over Flutie and he flat out sucked!
  8. I inadvertently caught her at a bluegrass festival one time and she started off by walking onto a stage with no fanfare, accompanied by only one guy carrying a single drum and she then proceeded to rip my soul right out of my chest while I stood there like this: 😯 An unreal level of presence and power when she's standing right in front of you.
  9. Sure, so how much of our tax burden to you want the wealthiest earners to pay. Obviously higher than 70%. What do you think it should be?
  10. Please step away from the sauce.
  11. Last year would’ve been Daniel Jones for sure. While Tua is a decent player, and he fits the system well, the poor guy could be one hit away from literally being done with the game. For that reason, he gets my vote based on the potential that he won’t be able to carry the franchise too long. Probably a bad reason..
  12. It’s true the top earners pay a big slice of total taxes but that’s partly because they earn so much of the country’s income. But you're clearly not getting it. The real question is what percentage of their income they actually pay compared to everyone else. When billionaires pay a lower effective rate than middle-class workers, despite making hundreds of millions or billions, that’s where fairness breaks down. It’s about closing loopholes and ensuring the tax system isn’t rigged to favor the ultra-rich. That's why the rich spend so much money buying politicians, right? The line that “the rich already pay their fair share” gets pushed by millionaire class influencers and media because their billionaire owners benefit from a rigged system. It’s not about fairness; it’s about protecting a status quo that works for them, not for the rest of us.
  13. You took Rocker Chick to a whole different level. Enjoyed it...
  14. they should start each broadcast with a 15-minute paean to Dear Leader (Sean McDermott) 😉😉
  15. In 2025, did Mamdani call for cutting the police budget or NYPD’s counterterrorism funding?
  16. But he is paid like one, and that matters vis a vis the definition.
  17. McGee has to be on there. Two time 2nd team All Pro as a returner. He has the franchise record in kickoff returns for TDs and yardage. He was an elite returner and a good starting CB, too. Moorman, Tasker, and Pike for the other spots. Maybe Christie instead of Pike. Coin toss.
  18. I see Fitzpatrick as dirty, hope he doesn’t take out any of our players liked he did to Chubb
  19. Rhiannon Giddens deserves a slot here. No posing, no preening, no shoes; just pure power. She can tear up a fiddle too:
  20. Hmm. I think the Steelers got a lot better. Rodgers isn’t who he was 5 years ago, but he was a genuinely pretty good qb most of the second half of last season, and he is FAR better than what the Steelers have been trotting out since Roethlisberger went into decline. Pickens is good, but he’s no Metcalf, and I’ll take Ramsey any day over Fitzpatrick, who was objectively bad last season at a lower value position. Ramsey was not bad last year and actually picked off Josh (not Josh’s fault, of course, but Ramsey was close enough to the Coleman error to make the play).
  21. 36% better than “good”. 36 + what for good plus.
  22. agree Well, everyone is using the tax code that exists. The top 5% of earners pay 61% of the taxes. The top 10% pay 71%. Where do you want to take these?
  23. Then you should be directing that energy at Posobiec, not me.
  24. The wealthiest Americans aren’t paying their fair share because the system is rigged in their favor. While working people pay taxes on every paycheck, billionaires use loopholes and special treatment for capital gains to pay a lower effective rate or nothing at all. In fact, the richest 25 billionaires have paid as little as 3.4% on hundreds of billions in income, far less than most middle-class workers. Paying a fair share means the tax system should be based on ability to contribute. That means closing loopholes, taxing wealth like work, and ensuring the ultra-rich can’t opt out of supporting the country that enabled their success.
  25. Either Aaron Rodgers at this point in his career, Kyler Murray or Trevor Lawrence.
  26. Aaron Rodgers still has franchise QB expectations to finish his career. Where do you rank him though?
