It’s funny you mention Barkley, the folks around here largely saw Saquon as a massive overpay by the Iggles last year. But that’s my point. Saquon for his dollar to impact amount was under valued last offseason. A guy like Gabe Davis was overvalued. Target guys like #1 and avoid guys like number #2. Let the Jags of the world overpay for middling WR talent while we target the underpays.

Unlike most maga pols, he's genuine and honest. I realize you don't value those qualities. -
I despised the guy and I'm so glad we're no longer giving a WR diva on the decline the key to the city. LOL. I'd say in his prime he was the best WR to put on a Bills uniform even though his prime wasn't as a Bill that one season.

An escalade with a trump sticker nearly hits 4 upper middle aged people on a crosswalk and it's my fault? Wonder what you would have done in that situation had the Escalade been full of blacks. Levi is right about one thing: There's an ongoing war between the fascists and the establishment (who are the farthest thing from bolsheviks). We can fight too but we can also leave if need be.

Ah..,Tim Kaine…the Tim Walz of the Clinton Presidential Aspiration Team. All I can say here is there was no attempt to shut him up, he was quite vocal the entire time. -

Indeed. And you're apparently a fan of the Tennessee Titans. It's always best to be the best or at least better than those you are competing with. -

Who was invited to Josh and Hailee's wedding?
Draconator replied to Willie West's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hailee's weekly email: The wedding issue HI. I’M MARRIED. WE’RE MARRIED!!!! I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time. As you know, I’m always somewhere in between wanting to share every detail and wanting to keep them close to my heart. But Beau Society felt like the right place to share some of the love and magic that made up our wedding weekend, and we had so much fun putting a few of our favorite memories and photos together in this issue! Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs, and tears. In no particular order, these are the moments we can’t stop thinking about. We must begin with all the love. It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara. Our family and friends coming together amplified it. The night before the night before our wedding, we had dinner with just our immediate families (+ our nanas, of course). It was just the fourteen of us; a calm before the festivities. At one point, Griffin unexpectedly prompted the question, “When did you know Hailee and Josh were meant to be together?” Everyone went around and shared tiny, sweet, thoughtful, and funny observations. It was so special. Our friends arrived the next day for our welcome party. The dress code was ‘vibrant elegance.’ It felt like a garden party, so fun and an entirely different vibe than our wedding day, which was ‘all-black black tie’ and felt very classic and bold. Our signature drinks at the party were a ‘Brando Old Fashioned’ and a ‘Teenie Tiny Margarita.’ We asked a few of our close friends to give little speeches the night before. Collectively, they spoke with the perfect balance of humor and so much love. I was a puddle. I stole their printed and handwritten pages right out of their hands to frame them. We had the amazing Jose Villa and his team with us from Thursday through Sunday to capture all the love. We had a no-phone wedding — we wanted everyone to come and be present. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. But that meant Jose had his work cut out for him, capturing all the magic for us. On the morning of our wedding, Josh and I met for breakfast just before 7. I’m so glad we did that. I don't think I could've gone the whole day without seeing him! We had a little spread, which included my favorite lemon ricotta pancakes. Okay, Josh says we have to talk about my dress now because I “stunned” him when I got to the altar . It’s easily the most perfect gown I’ve ever put on my body. Tamara Ralph designed it custom for me. Her tailoring is exquisite. We were on the tightest timeline. Six weeks before the wedding, my mom and I flew to Paris straight from the Sinners premiere in London for the fitting. I really had to lean into the whole ‘trust the process’ thing and thank God for Rob, Mariel, Tamara, and her team for pulling it all together in time. On our wedding day, when I put on this dress, I actually lost my breath. I’ve never felt more like myself and more beautiful. I added these long, sheer gloves that I’m obsessed with. They’re so delicate you can actually see my nail shape through the fabric (shout out Tom Bachik)! My veil was French Chantilly lace, and my incredible earrings were Mikimoto. Josh looked like the man of every dream I’ve ever had in his custom Tom Ford tuxedo with a pleated shirt that I loooved and black cufflinks and buttons. RIP me. Our sweet nieces and nephews (squealing that I officially get to say that now) played a very special role as our flower girls and ring bearers. Of course, I missed watching them walk down, but those precious photos will definitely be framed in our home. Fittingly, my mom was my “something blue” all weekend. She looked absolutely stunning. My dad walked me down the aisle, and let me just say, I’m very proud of us. It became a running joke that we’d be crying too hard to walk straight. I just remember the walkup looked like a façade. Josh was standing under this huge structure; it was the most surreal thing I’d ever seen. Instead of a bouquet, I held one single crystal rose. It was blue skies, 75 and sunny the entire weekend. Except the coolest thing happened after we got married: We walked off the aisle to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)”, and it started thundering. No rain, just thunder and lightning. Magical. Entering our reception for the first time was unforgettable. So much JOY. And the flowers! The red candelabras! The dance floor! The stage! The chandeliers?!! All of our people! The flow of the reception was dance, speech, cry, dance, eat, dance, speech, cry, dance, etc. Our parents and siblings gave the most touching speeches. Plus, our friend Amanda recited a gorgeous poem she wrote for us that day. Our wedding cake was a lemon olive oil cake with vanilla buttercream. It was so damn good. For the cake cutting, Josh’s grandma gave us an engraved Michael Aram serving knife, and my nana gifted us a pair of Baccarat champagne glasses to “cheers” with (which by the way, matched our decor perfectly). Josh is now reminding me to talk about the band! When we say the dance floor was popping, it was literally bowing. Our band brought the greatest energy, and in the final minutes of our reception, we jumped on stage with them, and Josh had a rockstar moment quoting the infamous ‘I’m not leaving…I’m not f!#%ing leaving!’ They played us off, and Josh and I made our way to the after party… BTW, I also wore a Tamara Ralph dress to our welcome party and the after party. Both were perfect for each occasion. (Are we all over the place?! Are you with us?! Lol) Our underground after-party (we had a sound ordinance to comply with) included a DJ, cigar bar, lots of Angel Margarita, grilled cheese sandwiches, and chocolate chip cookies served with shot glasses of milk. Healthy, we know. We had a little portrait studio by The Collective You for our guests at the after-party. My friends are still talking about it. The photographer was amazing (shout out Denis!). I'm obsessed with how the portraits turned out. The night ended at 3am with all our friends jumping in the pool in their dresses and tuxes. I didn’t jump in (I was wearing feathers), but I took photos, which I’ll share once I get our disposables back. To close, this wedding truly would not have been possible without the extraordinary Mindy Weiss and her incredible team. Mindy anticipated our every need, guided us through each decision, and made sure every single detail — from our invitations, to the food, to the flow of the entire weekend — felt deeply personal to us. We are endlessly grateful to her and Meg, and the whole team for creating the most beautiful celebration of our lives. I’m sure we’re forgetting so many things we’ll want to mention later, but suffice it to say, it was perfect — the whole entire thing. The next day, Josh and I ran off into the sunset to our honeymoon (more on that later?). Now we’re back, and it’s been a whole 13 days of being married, and we’ll be staying on this high forever! These amazing people helped make it all happen, and we want to shout them out with so much love and gratitude: Planner: Mindy Weiss and the team at MWPC; Photo: Jose Villa; Video: Aaron Novak; Dress: Tamara Ralph; Styling: Rob Zangardiand Mariel Haenn; Hair: Gregory Russell; Makeup: Mary Phillips; Nails: Tom Bachik; Florals: Celio’s Designs; Draping & Décor: Revelry Event Designers; Chair Rentals: Theoni; Tabletop Rentals: Casa de Perrin; Welcome Party Furniture: Found Vintage Rentals; Tent & Flooring: Town & Country; Lighting: Images by Lighting; Band/Entertainment: Westcoast Music; DJ: DJ Nitrane; Black & White Photo Experience: Collective You; Dance Floor: BB Rodeo; Cake: Room for Cake Santa Barbara; Paper Items: Lehr & Black. All photos by the amazing Jose Villa. There's a ton of pictures also. Maybe I'll upload a few. Credit: Beau Society -

The AFCE is a shitshow. Winning that division is akin to Kramer winning a Karate match. -
Everyone has mentioned the best ones. Hall of Famers + Allen: Bruce Smith, OJ, Allen, Thurman Thomas, Joe D, Billy Shaw, Andre Reed, Jim Kelly. That's 8. Bennett, Talley, Moulds, Smerlas and Hull are probably the next one because of their combined longevity, excellence and value to the team. Smerlas should be a borderline HOF veterans committee consideration. He was even T5 for DPOY once and I think 3-4 All Pros and 5 or so Pro Bowls. We're at 13 The last two I would put in the group are Tasker and Kemp. Unique players without the stats of others. Tasker redefine special teams players and Kemp was the leader on the 2 AFL championship teams. That leaves a lot of guys out but that's how I would put together the list. The one I would question the most is Kemp but fairly evaluating QBs from that era is difficult. Look at the stats for Unitas, Starr and Namath, but they all meant a lot to their teams. The 3 I think of that would almost certainly would have been in strong consideration for the top 15 if not for injury would be Robert James (who you could make a case for sneaking in at 15 or instead of Bennett or Talley), Sam Cowart and Jerry Butler, in that order. I think Cowart would have been better than Bennett and Talley

You can’t ignore the market. That doesn’t mean that you can’t take advantage of inefficiencies though. I’m certainly not saying that. I think we agree that we overpaid for Palmer. The fact that we signed him day 1 of free agency should tell us that was likely the case. I agree that we should avoid moves like that. Elijah Moore OTOH is a move I like a lot. Not because I think he’ll be an elite WR, but because we got him cheap and he has a chance to be far more productive than his contract would indicate. A major part of why we got that deal is because of Allen. Moore is willing to take less money to play with Allen so he has a better shot at a big payday next offseason. That’s the leverage we have and we should be taking better advantage of it. Look at the trade deals the Patriots got on players when Brady was there. We should be going harder after quality players at discount rates when available too. We haven’t taken advantage of that either. As for the RB market, there are only a few players worth a big premium and we don’t have one of those. There’s no reason to overpay at that position unless we can get a Barkley or Henry type talent.

The schedule is usually updated late in the summer. It's just one of those quirks that makes TBD loveable. But if you absolutely can't wait:

Fair and I always look at this through the lens of their Bills career vs. whole career. Lofton’a career was a HOF career. Ironically, TO would be WR1 if we used their whole careers. He was fine in his season here but he wasn’t the guy that took over a Super Bowl on 1 leg.

Senator Alex Padilla: Unhinged Political Theater Stuntman

So, about that SUPER serious and completely unplanned incident where Sen. Alex Padilla rushed Kristi Noem during a presser without identifying himself, and as a result was taken to the ground and detained ... Padilla is already using it to campaign and fundraise. Surprising no one. https://twitchy.com/samj/2025/06/13/and-there-it-is-check-out-the-email-alex-padilla-sent-after-acting-like-insane-jackass-at-presser-pic-n2414225 -
Shannon (The Hockey Guy) Explains the whole Atlanta saga. The NHL philosophy with expansion is growing the game. Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix grows the footprint. Hartford and Quebec City does not. Those are already hockey cities.

Fair points. The snaps/dolllars amount makes Khalil Shakir's 13M AAV deal comparable to the tops in the league though.
