Best kick returner BY FAR this preseason and has similar a gadgety style skillset to make Moore and/or Samuel redundant. I don't think Shenault makes it, but if he does I think Brady would believe he can weaponize him like Cordarrel Patterson. Back to the thread, Shavers is making the team.

Remember there is the emergency QB rule. The team can put a 3rd QB on the 53 or use one of their 2 weekly PS elevation on the emergency QB. That QB can't play in the game, unless a 3rd QB is needed for injuries. My guess is White is likely to be cut, but on the PS and then elevated each week as the emergency QB.

Shenault is toast. His only chance was as a Return man and Codrington definitively beat him. He consistently Started over him. Also, with all the injuries at CB - the idea that they'd keep 6 this year instead of the 5 they've kept at WR the past couple seasons seems highly unlikely.

Yeah, I thought that was a little odd too. I knew Mitch had won the gig and was unlikely to play. But I expected to see White play at least some before Buechele came in. My only guess is that they didn't really want to showcase White, as they want to have him as their Practice Squad QB?

There's little reason for Shenault to make this team.

They've done this in the past. Played a QB for the final game they knew wouldn't be on the roster. Most notable was AJ McCarron a few years back against the Bears. Double reason. #1, why risk a guy like Mitch or (likely) White that they plan on having rostered or on the PS. #2, they gave him a chance to put a game together and get stuff in film for other teams to look at and possibly make it easier to let him audition for a job on another roster.

QB controversy. McD mad at Josh, Mitch and Mike. Buechele possibly starting Week 1 now.

He's the 4th QB and it's the final preseason game. I doubt there's much meaning behind the decision.

My guess is Trubisky is our back up and don't want him hurt and White is gone and we don't want him hurt. Beuchele is probably PS(?).

The offensive line played well tonight and when under pressure buechele Made plays to continue drives. the previous two weeks the line really struggled and Mike white was dreadful. That killed most of the drives. the giants and bears have good defensive line s and it made perfect sense that their starters pushed around the backups, some playing out of position. But tonight they played really well and allowed the offense to function.

I think he started outside with Dane and moved inside to nickel late on when the various guys they've signed came in (Alexander and Hollins Jr). He gave up a couple passes early and one of the TD's he was falling on his face as the guy caught it and got his feet in. I'm speaking to what I think I saw but this certainly isn't an all22 review or anything. The first couple of games I was getting numbers mixed up on guys and confusing the hell out of things. Hint the numbers under the roster link on ESPN do not match the numbers guys are wearing on the field.

Special would be overstating it. Lacks the physical ability to be special. Knows how to play football, though.

He played well in the first half, I think he's the PS QB and Mitch has won the backup job, and they figured Shane deserved the pre-season reps. If so, I'd agree.

Was our HC upset about what he saw from Mitch & Mike?? Did he do it to inspire the rest of the roster? It was the 1st time, this pre-season, that the Bills offense looked in-sync and capable of NFL caliber play! What are your thoughts??
