Has anyone had that Pittsford Farms Dairy from Hard Knocks?
todd replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, I remember going to Hicks when I was in grade school at St. Louis. It was like a Norman Rockwell painting of a 50s ice cream shop. Used to love walking to Bill Wahl’s for ice cream, too. That was where the Pittsford Pub / JoJos is now. That’s been gone even longer. -

O'Hare airport approach waypoints and the 1985 Chicago Bears
zow2 replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cool factoids. I have nothing to add to the waypoints but I did land at O'hare on a United flight last week. We landed on runway 9L which is the northernmost runway away from everything. We proceeded to taxi for a bit to a holding pad (because our gate was still occupied which is very common at ORD). We sat there for 25 mins, then proceeded to taxi around the entire northern taxiway system back and forth, following dozens of other planes until we got to the gate. The pilot got on the intercom and joked about the scenic taxiway tour. From the time our wheels touched down until we parked at the gate it was easily 1 hour 10 mins extra. Makes you appreciate BUF. -

Dont get me wrong, I am with you on BTJ, was all over BTJ in that draft was hoping for a trade up as well as I knew the big 3 were not realistic. But as much as I liked him, he did still have some question marks. I had him as WR4 and Ladd as WR5 going into that draft, I was high on both, but I also liked Keon who I had just behind them. But there is a lot more that goes into those decisions to trade up/down or not at all. And in that draft, we were without a 3rd, just moved off some long term starters, vets and leaders on the team do to age and cap. The Bills were in a mini-retool year, and the FO even said as much. So entering that draft they were looking to maximize their picks and try and get back some as well. So its not so cut and dry to come back later and say "they should have traded up for this guy", not to mention, you need a willing trade partner to agree on a trade, and one you are good with too. And when we got Kincaid the Bills tried to trade up with the Charges who started the WR run, but they were set on Q and were not interested in moving back. And the belief was they were after Addison, so for all we know they did try and get a WR but settled for Kincaid when their guy was gone and moved up to assured themselves they got him. So its not so easy or always so cut and dry to say they should have done this or that either -

Maybe Beane should check players Madden ratings? 😂 You can make any deal if you're willing to overpay. -
His catch percentage went from 79.3 in a dome and 73.7 in a retroof - to 62.9% outdoors. Pretty much every stat trended down. It's a small sample size, and as a slot type he's always going to get targets that prop up the numbers like catch percentage. His hands are smaller than ray davis FWIW.

Pre-season football is SO boring that THIS is what passes for pre-game hype? -

Sure. And for the record, Im not assuming the worst or saying its a huge problem and folks need to be fired. It's just offseason discussion. The team is pretty good, so we dont get the chance at those in-depth armchair-GM discussions we used to have through the drought. Its just for fun. 32 scenarios a round! At least! -

This is the exact reason why people all over America have been harping about all the calls that the chiefs have gotten over last 6 years lol If it's a 24-21 game and the Chiefs get all the breaks of course the Golden boy Patrick mahomes is going to come back lol He's good football player he's also king of getting every phantom call and the other team gets no breaks... Remember Josh Allen got a first down on his tush push and the refs gave the ball to the Chiefs in the most important drive of the year That's been happening for the Chiefs for a long time now... There were multiple multiple bad bad spots that NFL officials should not make -

Hancock isn't really playing that role. He is learning the Cam Lewis 3rd safety/nickel CB role. -
I call out all your bs. There is alot of that.

So, what we have established is that we have at least three different scenarios.

2024 Lions moved back with Jax. Cincy OT, Philly DB, Miami DE and Pitts OT all filled needs with perceived value. They going to 15 without a 3rd? I doubt it. Im not blown away by Flowers or JSN to think they are supremely more valuable than Kincaid. TE is a notoriously difficult position to translate from college. Advance metrics are still favorable for him even though he has not been prolific. If Keon plays like he did those few weeks pre injury I think none of this matters.

Ehh I feel like the showrunners are the one’s not really getting the story here with this team. IMO focus should be on the veterans who have been so close about to try again. It’s still a TV show it needs compelling storylines.
-
The point is, none of us know what deals were to be made. I won’t assume the worst and cast blame when I don’t know what was driving them and what the obstacles were. They may have tried and nobody was moving. That happens sometimes, just like sometimes people are more willing. People do things for their own reasons, not because we want them to.

He was abnormally blunt when it came to Bishop yesterday. I think he is about done. If he can't get it together this year, I can see McDermott sending him packing. They are getting less and less patient with oft injured players If it keeps him off the field repeatedly, its not minor. There just comes a point we need a roster that is mostly full of healthy players. This guy has had TWO camps out of TWO where he cant come close to fully participating. Sorry but thats a huge red flag./ -

Teams move up and down the draft board all the time, especially in the late 1st. You think teams are just icing out the Bills? If Beane wanted to move up, he could have, especially with the extra 2 from the Diggs deal.
