He did do it more last year, and you never want to totally take the scrambles away because they do produce so many big plays. But yea getting that balance right is always the sweet spot everyone is looking for.
-
Hell Baker in playoff games has been really solid too. Dalton never has had one game as good as what Baker has done postseason.

Go BOLD - 2024 NFL bold predictions 2024
GunnerBill replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't consider any of those a nail. They are three good efforts and all of them were almost correct.... but Washington didn't go 7-10, Tennessee didn't go 2-15 and Shakir didn't have 1173 yards. -
It's never free. Those handouts come from people who actually work and then the people that get them do whatever it takes to keep getting them. Why would you get a job making 30k if you can stay home and get everything for free if you make 25k or less? (Or whatever the income threshold is). Any socialist type programs should involve mandatory work programs. If you aren't working elsewhere or can't find a job then you are working for the city doing manual labor. I bet you will find a job pretty quick after a few days picking up garbage off the thruway! https://fortune.com/2025/06/26/bill-ackman-bankroll-nyc-mayoral-candidate-defeat-zohran-mamdani/

He still needs to learn to hit his back foot and throw. Once he learns this, and throwing with a little more anticipation, he will be unstoppable.

Ha. Corrected. Thanks! TY Johnson. Not TARON. And yep, it's why you can't get me to "oh they wouldn't miss James Cook, Ray Davis is good." Cook was top 6 in the NFL in explosive runs last year (classed as runs of 20 yards or more) and of that top 6 only Josh Jacobs had a worse yards before contact rate so it isn't, as some want to claim, just the Bills oline blowing people off the ball for him and opening huge holes on every run. It's that Cook has ELITE vision and change of direction that turns what might be 3 or 4 yards for a lot of guys into 25 yards in a flash. It's also why if is a way to structure a deal that pays him more in 2025 and 2026 without committing to him for the longer term I'd be fine with it. I want this offense to get back to making its explosive plays in the passing game. But until it is in a position to do that giving up Cook who is picking up some slack by making them in the run game feels a risky proposition to me.

Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease
May Day 10 replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was surprising to me, that after his early struggles and mis-steps with the Sabres, Terry Pegula went through the process and purchased the Sabres 'cold'. If it were me, or anyone with a half of a brain, they would have had/employed people to analyze the organization on many/most fronts. Perform a ground game around the sport and find prospective new staff. This was an organization in a decade-plus playoff drought. I was shocked when Pegula came in and just allowed Russ Brandon to continue presidenting because he knew his way around the building during the purchase/auction process. The entire Bills world wanted/needed this guy kicked to the curb. It shouldnt take a few years of figuring it out. Russ Brandon was the harbinger of the Bills' failures. -
Hey now nailed these three!: -Jayden Daniels wins ROTY even though WSH goes 7-10 -Titans end up with 1st overall pick going 2-15 as the 2020 All Madden team shows its age and Levis is too much a loose cannon -Shakir leads the team with 94 receptions and 1173 yards

Disagreed The original BBMB was awesome. There were so many weird characters on there. Some were absolutely nuts, but that’s what gave it charm. Reminds me of the internet in its Wild West days before everything got washed down & sanitized. Even Chris Brown posted there. The community felt a lot closer and there a lot of fun contests. People lived & died w/ their player predictions.

We all own it when we suggest something controversial. You threw him out in a conversation with guys that aren’t on his level. You’ve since been bombarded with numbers as to why he doesn’t belong there. If you’re lower on Baker than most, fine. If you are suggesting that there may be debate to who is a worse player Baker or Lawrence, you’re going to be challenged to defend that. -

Bro I STG I’m not having a Baker conversation I don’t care. -
I’m more concerned that TJ has switched to offense, personally. In all seriousness, you are 100% correct. This offense’s only “explosives” come from Allen’s extending or Cook.

Idiot could’ve had it made here in Buffalo. Luckily we got a more functional idiot wide receiver instead. AB did Beane the biggest favor of his career because that trade would’ve ultimately gotten him fired. -

2 years ago he had over 4000 yards and 28 TDs. You’re WAY underrating Baker. He’s a top 10 QB. He’s not in the Tua/Lawrence/Kyler tier. He’s in the group with guys like Herbert, Stafford, Stroud, Dak and Goff. -
Selective Justice: The Hypocrisy of MAGA

If you’re unable to effectively communicate with an individual you disagree with, you likely need to improve your communication skills. Part of your challenge in this case seems to be you’re starting with a rigid ideological position, you’re closed-minded, and unwilling to even consider the perspective of the other party. You also seem to have a complete disregard for the other person’s occupation, which is unusual. Do you have issues with all painters? Try respect as a default. Open your ears, close your mouth. Ask probing questions. Be purposeful in seeking out common ground. Disagree agreeably. This will get you started. -

I have been listening very carefully to that very loud silence. https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/rashee-rice-update-on-potential-suspension- It's almost like the criminal case will drag out until his career is over. A bit hard for me to understand how the league can pretend to care about its image but let that guy on the field. https://www.footballguys.com/article/2025-rashee-rice-jordan-addison-legal-updates "We're busy, Man" -

His calves are like twice the size of Cybo's. It's like man, don't get calf cramps Dion they'd be extra with calves like that.
