Agreed. I think the KC offense will be much improved with the return of Rice and, imo, they had one of the best drafts in the league. Simmons has the ability to change the dynamics of their OL. Losing Thuney will hurt, but having a LT that doesn’t suck is going to make a big difference. Norman Lott has great pass rushing potential from the inside and I really like what Gillote brings on the edge in terms of creating pressure. I would’ve been happy with Jalen Royals in rd 2 and they got him in rd 4. Add Nohl Williams to the CB unit and Breshard Smith to eventually become McKinnon 2.0 and it’s a home run draft in my book. KC isn’t going anywhere- I expect them to be better than last year on O and about the same on D. Like we say every year- we can beat them in the playoffs if we’re reasonably healthy and the D line can get pressure and disrupt their flow. Both have been issues the last 2 playoff meetings.

I love the enthusiasm! Personally, though, I'm not expecting a whole lot out of Palmer, and even less out of Moore. Not to say they won't be affective, but I suspect there won't be a ton of three WR sets-- lots of 12, and 21 personnel, and Jumbo packages. And I think Keon, and Khalil will be getting the most snaps, assuming Shakir is close to 100%. We'll know better on Wednesday, I assume. I imagine we will be Palmer in three WR formations, and I wonder how many targets he gets in those? His selling point has been "natural separation," but does he get used to draw coverage from Keon? Of course, I am one of the idiots who voted "Superstar" in the Keon Coleman poll, so.... It will be interesting to see who gets some of those plays out of the backfield-- screens, sweeps, etc-- Moore, or Samuel. I would assume that Moore is the much faster player at this point in their careers.

Knox was a better receiver last year. Catch percentage - Knox 66.7% / Kincaid 58.7% Yards per catch - Knox 14.1 / Kincaid 10.2 Yards per target - Knox 9.4 / Kincaid 6.0 Success rate - Knox 63.6% / Kincaid 53.3% Kincaid had quite a few more targets, 75 vs 33, which shouldn't be discounted, but Knox was by far the more efficient pass catcher. Knox also had a higher ADOT (8.8 vs 7.5) so his targets were a higher degree of difficultly and he still came up with that much better efficiency. Of course Kincaid has the higher upside. He is a better route runner and he has better movement skills. But for whatever reason he and Allen were not on the same page as much Knox and Allen were last year. Maybe they just need to develop better chemistry. But I continue to worry that Kincaid is not a natural NFL player and lacks some of the nuance required for that position. I'd love to be proven wrong. There have been mostly positive reports coming out of training camp. I think it's unlikely he'll ever fully live up to his 1st round draft status but if he can get around 750 yards and close to a 70% catch percentage I'd take that.
