  1. Past hour
  2. Great stuff, had not read those quotes yet. The fact that he wants to be out there more, more than we had thought when signed, is such a promising sign for what he will do this year and in the future. As he seems to be enjoying it so much here, having a great time on a winning team, that I think he will want to be here long term, even if it may mean a little less money. And this will get much better once the defense is fixed, I think. And I believe that fix is on the horizon. Hope so, as he likely has several good years left as he is only 30.
  3. Hot meaning everyone seems to be using it the last few years or so. I remember listening to Joe Marino last year after that dolphin game and he was going off saying the EPA was good But let's put it this way- If we are using PFF analytics to determine whether a defence is good or bad, that's not exactly the most credible source lol
  4. EDIT: Does Tarheel have a trans kid who won't speak to him just like Elon Musk does? Seems personal.
  5. I was watching last night and thinking about how the 49ers in particular, and the Rams generally, are designed the same way the Bills are. The announcers, as usual with those two, completely missed the point. The 49ers weren't good last night because some substitutes had incredible games. The substitutes, like Jones, had incredible games because of how the 49ers are designed. They have a true team philosophy. Like the Bills, the 49ers expect every player at every position to execute his job, and his job is designed to blend with the jobs of the other 10 guys. Every starter and every starter learns the same job for his position. What that means is that when a player goes down, they have another guy to plug in who executes the same stuff the starter executed, only just not quite as well. It's a great system, because every team loses guys to injury during the season, but when a guy goes down, the team isn't designed around his special talents. There's always a guy behind him who knows the same job. So, when Purdy goes down, he can be replaced not because he isn't very good in the first place, but because another NFL-quality guy has been studying and practicing the exact same role. The 49ers were missing all those guys, but it's a team designed as a true team, so next man up works pretty well. Compare the 49ers to the Bengals, who are designed around have a QB and two great receivers. When one of the receivers goes down, the offense begins to struggle, because his part of the design cannot be replaced. When the QB goes down, well, that's a huge problem. What does that say about the Bills? Well, first, for 21 positions, if a guy goes down, he can be replaced. We see it every week. That's why a guy like Cam Lewis is so valuable - he can play multiple positions, and he knows exactly what he's supposed to do. But what about Allen? Obviously, he can't be replaced. But look at how his game has evolved. This season, the team is relying even less on his greatness, and more on his ability to execute the offense at a high level. And that's why they have Trubisky. He is a veteran, smart QB, and he can come in to execute the same offense. He can't make every throw and every run Allen can, but he can play the position as it's designed to be played, so the whole playbook remains open. It's a good style to play for the regular season. As we've seen, both with the Bills and with the 49ers, it doesn't necessarily work so well in the playoffs.
  6. Remember during the drought when we would loose a close game? Not because we were as talented but we had played a good game. .. It’s the opposite side of the coin. We are now the team winning those games. .. Not always by a lot but WINNING
  7. I hear what you're saying and I agree 2022 was the year where the heavens plotted against the bills, but Von Miller before injury was that good I still think they'd have made it if he'd been healthy. Unfortunately the Gods didn't want it. Didn't help that Josh had a massive fight with his gf the night before the bengals game which effectively ended the relationship either (so I was told)
  8. He isn't playing...isn't that kind of the point of the whole thread And yes the standard for a 3rd round pick is higher than the later rounds It is great Walker looks good and that Hawes is making an impact. There is no doubt Beane has a track record of finding great value in the later rounds. But the track record of mid round misses is worthy of commentary Not dressing for four games does not mean he is destined to be Basham 2.0. But it is still disappointing
  9. He's also 41 and coming off a torn knee. His leg is still good but he looks to not have the power he once did pre-injury at age 40.
  10. while hes had a seemingly annoying amount of near tackles of RB's that were missed..... He has already forced 4 fumbles in 4 games to lead the NFL I'd like to see his snap count brought down to 45-50% instead of 75%+ I think that's the sweet spot for his efficiency and success rate to be elite all season if he can stay on the field
  11. Not the orange moron that all the world leaders are laughing at. But Pelosi ripping up papers. Good one JD. MAGA has zero self awareness https://newrepublic.com/post/201262/european-leaders-laugh-trump-fake-peace-deal-armenia-albania
  12. 2022 that team was both massively hurt (even beyond the Von injury) and flawed (Offensive line issues and no WR2 or any help outside of Diggs at pass catcher). Hyde went down early and that hurt the defense. Pretty much the entire D-line was hurt going into that Bengals team. It was the Bills "year from hell" they just had two star talents on offense (Diggs and Josh) and enough depth on defense to patch it together and go 13-3. But that team was just not destined to go the distance that year even if Von was healthy.
  13. Yes, of course, on Schwartz, a no brainer here, compared to what we have. And in general, a high level defensive mind and coordinator. And having a great year now, maybe his best, creating the best defense in the NFL on a team without a high level offense. The Cleveland defense after 4 weeks: #1 in total defense #1 in run defense #4 in pass defense I like him a lot as a DC, but sometimes it seems, and when here, that the type of defense he coaches breaks down more than the defenses of some of the other top DC's like Fagio's and others. Maybe they take too many chances at times, when not needed, and so then be exploited by good OC's ?? While I am fairly convinced, at least for now, that McD will soon take over for Babich, and turn things around dramatically, like Brady did, I think McDermott is too concerned with the big picture as head coach, with all aspects of his team, to be the defensive coordinator long term. So, will not want to continue to do that in the 2026 season if he is the guy for the rest of this year. So, let's hope for a Cleveland collapse!, the firing of their head coach, and Schwartz wanting out, or getting tossed out with the rest, as he is likely a very good choice for the Bills again. I know this will get some negative feedback but for a while have thought the combination of his defensive ideas and coaching philosophy and McD's would make for a superb long term defense for the Bills.
  14. I’m not familiar with this but don’t doubt it’s under diagnosed. its like with Asperger’s. Used to just sound like a diagnosis with a funny name in the 2000s. But now we have all this knowledge about autism
  15. Score early and often. Don't get cute in 2nd q with a 2 score lead. Make pats play from behind and stay 2 scores ahead
  16. Didn't matter. It Didn't have a chance either way
  17. what are we talking about here? Prater is #1 all time in % make over 50 yards he has a 52 yarder this year. Last year he hit from 57. 62 in 2023
  18. Just stay healthy....Just stay healthy.
  19. I don't get dicey on Prater until he gets past the low 50's. 50-52 I think he's got the leg to hit those pretty consistently, 53+ that's going to be a harder sell for me, he's probably not going to be able to even attempt anything much past 55.
  20. This AM I was just thinking what a get Baker Mayfield would have been for Shanahan. He is CHEAP and was available at one point. Certainly an upgrade from Mac Jones and Brock Purdy.
  21. Thursday games are very very funky. Teams don’t have the rest they need and these games just are always extra unpredictable. That being said yes it’s hard to blowout even the worst team in the NFL
  22. I had never heard of this until I started working for my wife. She owns a Literacy Center for children and adults who fit the Dyslexia profile. A common diagnosis to go along with Dyslexia is Irlen Syndrome. From Google: Irlen Syndrome, also known as Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS), is a neurological condition that affects how the brain processes visual information, particularly in response to certain wavelengths of light. Symptoms: Difficulty reading (e.g., blurred vision, eye strain, headaches) Sensitivity to bright lights Visual distortions (e.g., halos, shimmering text) Poor depth perception Motion sickness Fatigue Difficulty concentrating Causes: The exact cause of Irlen Syndrome is unknown, but it is believed to be related to an imbalance in the brain's processing of visual signals. It may be associated with other conditions, such as dyslexia, autism, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Diagnosis: Irlen Syndrome is typically diagnosed through a screening test that involves wearing colored overlays or lenses and observing how they affect the individual's vision and symptoms. Treatment: The primary treatment for Irlen Syndrome is the use of colored overlays or lenses that filter out specific wavelengths of light that cause discomfort. These filters can help to reduce eye strain, improve reading ability, and enhance concentration. Other interventions may include: Adjusting lighting in the environment Using audiobooks or other non-visual learning methods Employing assistive technologies, such as magnification devices Prevalence: The prevalence of Irlen Syndrome is estimated to be around 1-10% of the population. It is more common in individuals with learning disabilities or other neurological conditions. Note: It's important to note that Irlen Syndrome is a controversial condition, with some researchers questioning its existence or effectiveness. However, many individuals report significant improvement in their symptoms with the use of colored filters or lenses. I was screened this morning, and I was diagnosed with a severe case of Irlen's. I'm not dyslexic, but have ADHD which Irlen's can also be a common diagnosis with. I tried a number of different lens overlays. And holy F!!! The difference the correct overlays made in my vision was life changing. I'll be ordering my Irlen glasses tomorrow. This will help me with work, school, golf, basically everything.
  23. Good idea, he's done that in college would like to see that on some 3rd downs. Move Rousseau inside next to Oliver Sanders has flashed though....he had a near sack fumble that was ruled grounding incomplete against the Saints
  24. Oh I am with you, this is even better than the SB era IMO in terms of weekly fun and enjoyment because Josh Allen is just that fun to watch. I was more referencing how they will be celebrated and remembered in general.
  25. I'm assuming Finding linked to some religious person of authority who molested a minor. As if anyone here even so much as implied to look the other way on any of that like loser Finding and the rest of his merry band of commies do on selling the trans crap to kids. You want horrifying trans grooming reality that is the end result of Netflix etc. planting the seeds in the heads friggin seven year old CHILDREN? Here you go. Go ahead.
