So, we are cheering for the Bills to move closer to the 1 seed and for Baltimore & KC to miss the playoffs. Works for me

I want the road to the SB to go thru Buffalo most of all...this final year at the Ralph.

Week 12, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!

No faith in this offense or defense. COULD Allen go off? Sure, anything is possible. But he could also have a Miami level stinker. Could the defense smother a garbage Texans offense? No, there's zero chance of that happening, they're awful. Texans 25 Bills 17 -

yeah I don’t think he is going to make it on a short week Collins potentially could be out as well… Collins has been listed on the injury list this week (limited participation in practice, ankle), but does not have a game status on the latest report. The Texans have two other receivers on the injury list this week: Dalton Schultz (LP/shoulder): 51 Rec; 489 Rec Yds; 1 Rec TD Cade Stover (FP/foot): 4 Rec; 22 Rec Yds; 0 Rec TDs

Yes, you're correct, you can indeed win without a good defense. How did it work out for the Bills? Not as well as it worked out for the Chiefs a couple of years and the, Rams etc. The fact that it worked out for some teams but not for the Bills -- well, it only proves that it didn't work out for the Bills. And the Bills had really good defenses several of those years, actually. Some of those years they had serious waves of injuries around the playoffs, and other times they were good but not good enough to stop the Chiefs in the playoffs with Mahomes playing at absolutely historic levels. You can argue this D is the worst. But they're getting better, particularly at passing defense. When Bosa gets the cast off, when and if Oliver comes back and when Dorian gets better at the role he's already playing pretty well this past week at pass rush schemes, we could easily get a lot better. When TJ and DaQuan get not just able to play but back at previous levels. It's a shame Hoecht is out, it really is. But there's every chance we'll be a lot better. We were awful against Miami. But not so awful against Tampa and pretty dang solid against KC. They absolutely have a shot. That simply isn't a question. Again, Vegas has them as the third most likely winner. That's likely a bit optimistic. But not much. They're 7-3, and beating the good teams.

Yup, And no other teams with great QBs are like that ... except all of them. When the great QB has a bad game, yeah, the team's not real likely to win. That's kinda the NFL. I mean, you're right, that's how we look. But I mean, when Mahomes had a bad game, the Eagles win the Super Bowl last year and the AFC championship against the Bengals about three years ago. Yeah, fair enough, big ask. But it could happen, Ed playing near how he did before. Or not. And no, Shaq was playing significantly better than average, he was playing well.

MNF thread- Cowboys @ Raiders (no Bills stuff please)
Sojourner replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh i won’t dispute why they hired Carrol, just that Raiders team wasn’t good what he inherited and latching on to Geno instead of waiting it out, keeping your picks and trying to have a potential rebuild of the program 2 or 3 years down the line seems smarter than what he decided. That to me would be about becoming serious. Not putting your eggs in the basket of a guy drafted 13 years ago who’s only had 2 decent and 1 average year. All of which were year 10 onward. There was no way Geno and a rookie RB were turning that program around. -

I didn't have any problem with this read from Allen. It's 4th down and the 1st read appears like it will be open, you take it every time. Palmer getting knocked down and Latu getting slowed up disrupted the timing because Allen is waiting for the short crossers to pass so he can throw the ball. I'd like to see Knox show some awareness here... He's just standing watching the ball come to him and somehow doesn't realize a defender is on his way to the ball. Step up and sn*tch that thing out of the air. -

Kelly to Allen replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Texans season is on the line. Very tough defense. Short week... But bills offense is too versatile Bills win with a fg 23-20 The last time I can honestly remember a bills QB playing great in Houston is the 89 ot game for Kelly -
I understand rooting for Indy over KC, as things don't have to always be logical. The logical thing is to root for KC, though. The Bills have never won a road playoff game under McDermott and are just 2-2 on the road so far this season despite playing 4 non-playoff teams. And in the scenario where the Bills do make the playoffs this season as a wild card, probably the only possibility to host the AFC Championship Game is if KC gets in as a lower wild-card and wins two road games (which the Bills would have to match, of course). I mean, the best answer is to not think about it and just root for the Bills to beat the Texans with no injuries and ignore other games. But if MUST think about it...

Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things, and why we need it
DapperCam replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tom Brady had elite defenses and won many playoff games with totally subpar stat lines, including his last SB in NE. Some of those wins he had a similar stat line to Allen's terrible playoff game vs Cincy. We don't have an elite defense this season, and I doubt we'll have one soon. Best bet is to stack points and get teams out of their offensive game plan (which would probably be to run it all over our soft defense). -

While not an official practice today for the Texans, Stroud was listed as still in concussion protocol so unless he practices tomorrow in some capacity he is going to be out for the Bills game but there are already reports that he is going to be out for the Bills game.
