Training camp schedule & ticket info released!
eball replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Camp is kinda fun. I went last year for the first time since the Fredonia days and I came to the conclusion that at least for me, the idea of going to a training camp practice is much better than the actual experience. But to each his own. -

MLB 2025 Except the Yankee's

Orioles had a 8-0 lead and lost 12-8, ***** sad -
I have no faith in the judgement of Iran’s leader, Khamenei. I have no faith in the actions of Netanyahu. I have no trust in the decision making of Trump and Hegseth. If Trump enters this war, Iran will kill American troops in the Middle East to suck us deeper into the war. Netanyahu would love for that to happen too. I’m also concerned about cyber attacks from Iran.

Aluminum bats. No 'roads needed... -
Nobody wants him gone. Most people don't want to pay him a contract he doesn't deserve based on his body of work either tho.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes I was exaggerating when I stated everyone wants him gone. But there were certainly a number of threads about him and seemed as soon as one thread would fall off the first page or so, a new one would start up. The point is still valid in that a large number of posters think their evaluation of a player after one or two years is gospel and they are smarter about these things than the people who do this for a living. This isn't about criticism, this is about people who here all think they are the smartest guy in the room when in reality we're all pretty stupid about these things, but some will go to great lengths to prove they are right. And yes I totally agree with you about half of first round picks don't get a 2nd contract so if you claim every player sucks, you'd be right much more than being wrong. So it's easy to look smart and say this play won't succeed. Does that mean the front office folks are dumber than the posters here. And if they don't know, then how can anyone here know more? Reading your responses here and how much you seem to be taking issue with this, I can't help but think of that quote from very long ago : "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" -

Until they tackle industrial farming and meat production these are small changes. I want to see way more from this guy. -
Never said that wasn't true, just that I didn't care and would never spend a second worrying.

I wouldn't call him a legit starter. I think if we could talk frankly, Beane would say they were satisfied with what they got in Motor and disappointed that they didn't get more from Moss.

Agree. Pitchers would need something in a form of protection. -

That's almost always the question. We can structure a contract with heavier cap hits late in the term. I happens all the time, but it's interesting that when it comes to Cook, i don't hear anyone brining I that approach to the contract.

I honestly agree. But I would make the pitchers wear a hard helmet. A roided up slugger is going to hit missiles at 90 feet. These hitters are even better.
