You are missing my point. It is not about putting up huge numbers...It is about coming through during clutch times in the playoffs. Evenly matched teams look for that one small window somewhere. Diggs didn't really raise up to that moment during his playoff run with the Bills. It is not about getting 5-catchs and 66 yards per game...he simply couldn't elevate his game to the next level and give the Bills the leverage. In fact, it is the biggest problem for this team in the playoffs. Every one of your best players need to bring their A-game to the playoffs and be able to gain that small edge that is the difference between victory and defeat.

Tommy devito..cutlets

I thought he was elite during the regular season but very average in big playoff games when it mattered the most. Elite players don't drop key passes or get totally shut down

Bring back Power for one more season until Beane can correct the problem next offseason. Still early but Bishop looks like another Beanne bust early round pick -
If you watch the new Hard Knocks episode, you’ll get to see him and hear his story. He reminds me of Buffalo Joe in just his hustle. If he makes the PS, it will be because of that high motor. He may make the PS. We’ll see.

I'm 50/50 on it. I can see a scenario where he's cut. I can just as easily see a scenario where they expected he'd take a year or two of development and/or they like what they see in Practice and in Meetings. This board has zero patience for players who aren't lighting the world on fire as a Rookie. It wasn't too long ago Terrel Bernard was declared a bust after Year 1.

Should Buffalo cut all their backup QBs?
Buffalo Junction replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
The best backup QBs are usually on bad teams. They usually have two marginal starters during it out for the starting position or a top rookie QB prospect and an aging vet or gap starter. With JA17 clearly entrenched as the franchise $55MM man this team doesn’t have the opportunities or the money to attract one of those guys. As a result Trubisky is essentially as good as it gets unless they hit on a draft and develop player like Matt Hasselbeck, Kirk Cousins, etc. -
That's a myth.
-
its hard to say because you dont know what Jefferson would have done here if drafted. theres far too many variables to say one way or another. coaching matters, style of offense matters, playcalling matters. maybe he doesnt like Buffalo and dogs it, etc, etc, etc.

We'll put you down as undecided -
I don’t think any one called for Shakir to be cut. They probably said he may be cut, because when you are a nothing player as a fifth round pick, it gets progressively harder to make the team without proving anything. Which is also the case with Olofo

Should Buffalo cut all their backup QBs?

We couldn’t find a competent QB for 20 seasons. Now we need 2? -
If this is accurate, he needs botox injections ASAP, or some other comparable treatment. It’s stuff like this with this team that sometimes it just does not feel like everyone is willing to put it all on the line to win. Yeah, his position maybe kinda needs to be able to plant and break, ya think? This all sounds kind of ridiculous but like, based on the comments it sounds truly over the top. Might as well be wearing shoes without traction or whatever. Damn, something about this really annoys me lol I need to take a walk. Let me put on some fresh socks first….

Apparently the Hive Mind only works for Incels.

He's missed massive chunks of development time in each of his 1st two seasons. It's a tremendous problem. -
Mao tried this. It didn't work out very well.

RoscoeParrish replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isn’t this kind of the problem? They apparently really loved him in the second round, and said they almost traded up to get him, and with a MASSIVE need at S and next to minimum competition and now in year two of the system, he can’t even maintain being penciled in to start week one? -
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?

I’m pretty sure Justin Simmons is available. Maybe he would chase a ring on a 2 year deal where essentially this year is low pay but there are guarantees for next year to avoid some cap hit. thought he was a good fit last season. Maybe he worth bringing in or a phone call to gauge interest. -

I wanted Cooper Dejean with the 1st pic last seaosn. I could see him playing safety at the same mvp level he had last season. Hopefully this isnt a big problem this season and Bish steps up -
Nice! I'll never forget diving with Humpbacks a couple years ago in Aitutaki. (Cook Islands). One of the best experiences of my life. There were 3 of them that came straight up out of the deep blue and just hung around us for 10-15 minutes checking us out. They then went to the surface for air, turned around and went straight back down. (I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.)

Thank you! That was a freakish amount of sweat btw... I've never seen anything remotely close to that amount of liquid being wringed out of a pair of socks, much less one. Hairston did a good job of not vomiting. In retrospect I'm starting to think that was a prank... that he got them wet in the shower or something... can't possibly be real.
