The QB himself is 90% personally responsible for their own development and success. the old “how would Brady and Peyton have done if they were drafted in the opposite situations” question was easy to answer. Both may have had a slightly different number of Super Bowls, but both would have still been all time QBs Darnold is about to go back to being a backup after spending 2 seasons with two of the best offensive minds in the NFL who couldn’t hide his flaws forever. Sam Darnold was never going to be good. Seems like a nice kid so it sucks, but that’s the way it goes.

We're going to have games where we absolutely **** the bed all game long but will pull out the win..........we have games like this every year and sometimes we squeak out the win and sometimes we just can't get it done. This is what i mean by "we have no business winning". I would like to think that we will steamroll every team through the schedule, but it's unrealistic to ever think that and there will be games where we left too many plays on the field and look like we should have just lost the game outright but pull out the win..........Baltimore comes to mind.

Assuming they even had one available and were allowed to put it on mid-game, I would guess that playing in a visor is different from playing without one (in tersm of perception, etc.) and that they wanted Josh to practice with it on before playing in a real game.
