Beane and McDermott haven't won *****

Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard

They look like ass on the road in the regular season. They aint winning crap on the road in the playoffs. This is a fundamentally flawed team to begin with that has critical long term injuries at key positions. Milano and Johnson are cooked as well. Rousseau, what a nitemare. Add in our strong spot, the o line, has big time problems too. Terrible. Beane has failed them. -

If NE wins over Cincinnati...I'll pretty much concede the division. But until then...Bills baby! -
Leave some running backs back there to block. It’s idiotic that that OC cannot do that he needs to be fired. I know he listens to McDermott. We’re lucky Josh didn’t get hurt tonight. He was pummeled. And why wasn’t he rolling out? Was that OC keeping him in a box or something? I hardly saw him roll out what was that all about? I think McDermott has a hand in the offense too. He has a play sheet.

We tend to have very good Decembers. I'll give McDermott that - we close strong. This is a different team, though. We really can't impose our will on other teams like we used to, or score as prolifically. But it's also a different year for the AFC. Every team out there is pretty flawed. There is always hope. -
Do guys like Benford and Rousseau have trade value? I’d imagine they do. Bernard, probably not, so we’re stuck with him next year. Just get rid of them for Day 3 picks and free up cap, I don’t care. Enough of this with these above average players that never come through when it matters.

Cuz the Patriots won't lose a few games they supposed to win? And common thread in those losses? Allen had looked below average in all of them and yet if he plays average we might win at least two of them. -
Maybe call Allen Robinson and Jarvis Landry while we’re at it

Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....

To be fair the saddest part about tonight was in 9 years, beane & McDermott never built a pass rush or defense like the Texans.... I don't care who the wrs are, you're not winning against a pass rush like that. Maybe here or there but good lord -

Daboll was very good at scheming receivers open. He had his warts, but giving easy options for Josh was not one of them. -
Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?

Wrong. Our top ranked offense is only top ranked because of the play of Allen. Take him out of the equation and replace him with a good but not great QB and the Bills are middle of the pack at best on O. The problem is Allen can't do it alone and with the exception of Cook no one else has risen up consistently either because they have under performed or can't stay healthy and on the field. As for the D I disagree that this unit is anywhere close to being middle of the road. It is clearly a bottom 5 D. And this is in spite of the Bills providing the D with the lions share of FA & Draft capital. I think tonight has gone a long way towards illuminating what the Bills problems are. And while it might be cathartic to fire Brady he is not the main problem. McD & Bean are. They have structured the roster & coaches in a way that isn't working and is squandering the talents of a uniquely gifted QB. It's football malpractice. -
Why? Cuz I want my QB to you know QB? Aka read the defense?

They gave up that TD under 2 minutes to close the 1st half. That was kinda dagger in the heart moment considering that we had just scored to take the lead. -
Luckily Beane drafted a new defense in 2025. He can do it again in 2026. McDermott is great at coaching up the young pups.
-
Your projections notwithstanding Davis Mills gets to play against our defense. His assignment is basically writing his name. Allen's out here doing quantum chromodynamics w our offense vs their defense
-
To be fair, those sideways passes were about the only things working today. In fact, we needed to do more of them. As soon as we tried to stretch the field in any way, Josh got pummeled.
-
O put up 12. We should probably expect more than that with Josh Allen at QB.
-
Yea Beane has not figured out how to build a roster with a star quarterback contract in the books. He still wants to make moves in free agency like he did when Allen was on his rookie deal and we could sign all the middling free agency’s he wanted without screwing the cap terribly. He needs to sit early free agency out for a year. Add guys on one year, near minimum contracts later to let some of this dead cap fall off and focus on the draft. Or preferably another GM will do that this year.

Garoppolo was a good fit for the Shanahan system and looked pretty good for several years there before injuries and several years of defensive scouting did him in.

I dont think your off base, unless there some huge disconnect between Brady and McD. Herbstreit talked in the pregame about Brady saying we have gotten away from the run the past couple of weeks. Well they were wins. But Cook had a 100. So maybe Joe is fine. -
Dude you are straight up embarrassing yourself. Wow.

Beane is to blame for the personnel and McDermott for his ***** coaching staff. Time to move on. McDermott is a good coach but he’s peaked and he isn’t getting us over the hump. -

The Buffalo Bills have the talent we all saw that last week against the Bucs, who might not have the #1 defense but are a good team at 6-3. What we saw Thursday night was the same thing we saw against Atlanta, pressure on the QB, and nobody open. The thing is, Atlanta is 3-7 and a bad team with around the 20th defense. This season, these losses are all on Joe Brady in not doing a good enough job. Now, perhaps it's because he doesn't have enough experience but that's BS. This is basic stuff to create against a heavy rush, blitzing opponent. Quick outs to just move the chains and not go for a big play when there is no time in the pocket to throw. Brady needs to go or be demoted, as he turned Superman into Clark Kent with his piss poor offensive game planning. Screw this promoting from within crap as McDermott needs to hire a top DC and OC. This was the year to win the Super bowl, and it looks like it might go to the Patriots...again! What McDermott doesn't get is in that hiring top assistants will also help in the drafting process to gain their insight into the quality of the players they need.
