"The only thing that matters" is a really subjective concept so it's hard for me to unpack. You can argue nearly everything matters just as easily. To me what is ultimately remembered about a team or era is what matters. I can't think of any franchise in NFL history who is remembered very fondly for incredible success in the regular season and never having won one. The 90's Bills are about as close as it comes to that and it took 20+ years for them to be remembered in any positive manner. The Purple people eaters, Broncos are similar, but in all these examples teams went to 3 or more Super Bowls. What is the group we are discussing when we start to say never having been to one or maybe just one? It's hard to think of many. Maybe the Run and Shoot Houston Oilers or the Air Coryell Chargers? Both might be more memorable simply from offensive innovation and not success. Most people don't want that as fans or for Josh. So the celebratory notions ring a bit hollow.

Who was invited to Josh and Hailee's wedding?

Maybe im wrong. Or maybe its regional? Im honestly not sure. My understanding was that open bar is a (relatively) new phenomenon. Most people I knew back in the day could not afford open bar, and also it was frowned upon because religion had a much stronger grip on society. I looked it up and as of last year, only 62% of weddings had an open bar. -
Oh Diggs was a "sure thing" all right lol! If Roseman had not also put together a roster that played in 2 of the last 3 SBs, destroying a 15 win Chiefs team, you might have a point. They could shrug of a bad decision at WR. He quickly rebounded by drafting Smith and then traded for AJ Brown. Beane brought in his usual minibus load of week old bread bin guys who end their careers in Buffalo soon after their 1 year paper expires.... Diggs never moved the needle for the Bills--zero impact: with or without Diggs, Bills win the division, lose to the Chiefs in the playoffs. It cost a potential top rookie WR on a 5 year contract and 31 million in dead cap, plus all the predictable immaturity/headaches.

I think Kincaid still has lots of room to grow so I agree he is someone I'm not just giving away

Guess it’s okay if the conversations meander a t(h)ad 😐 Are the Bills your first NFL love? Whats your first Bills memory either way? - Yes. One and only - My first memory is hearing around the house that Jim Kelly is destroying with the Gamblers and acting cautiously exuberant that he’s coming to save the Bills. The very first word-for-word quote I can recall is, (on the 1987 season) “Grandpa thinks the Bills aren’t too bad.” One more random thought.. can anyone can shed light on the Legend of Brian McClure? He’s 61 now so nothing life threatening. But drafted by Bills in 86, starts one game in 87, and the stream runs dry? Injuried beyond repair in his only game? Did he get recruited by The Farm? Cold War Double Agent? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McClBr20.htm

What makes the lesser triumphs not as appealing to me at this stage is those 90's Bills. This franchise already has the gold standard in all of sports for doing everything BUT winning a championship. The success of this team is nearly unprecedented comparative to the lack of success in the postseason. That will be the narrative that gets remembered long term about this period in Bills history if they never get it done. The pursuit of a championship is always enjoyable. Josh is incredible. It's a much more fun time to be a fan than the drought years. I think that can be true along with the general feeling some of expressed in this thread.

Which is why you go for the sure thing instead of rolling the dice. Howie "best Gm of the league" Roseman took Jalen Reagor one pick before Jefferson.
-
Cole Bishop "the psychopath on the field" isn't on the roster
-
Beane's draft day ineptitude drafting WRs, he probably would not have picked Jefferson.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

None of the facade has been hung yet so I’m not sure how we can critique it or are you just going by previously released artist renderings? -
Elon's Scheduled Temporary Special Employment Ends!

Are these the savings they claim to make only to walk back later? Does it include the people they fired and paid to sit home and do nothing and then to try to force them back to work when they realized they needed them? Does this include Musk shoving Scott bessent when he called Musk out for not saving the trillions Musk promised? You don't believe that happened? That blonde press secretary admitted it. Look it up. Or it's this that Maga knows all and I just have TDS? It sounds to me like you are they one who can't read facts. $175 billion is nice but only a drop in the bucket of what this govt spends and will be quickly wiped out by the big dumb bill that took from the poor to pay the rich and will add trillions to the deficit. Clown show. -
It was just an example of us giving up too early on a prospect. You're right in saying it isn't an apples to apples comparison.

Since 2020 - highest scoring offense and fewest points allowed defense

Who said they don't matter? Of course they do. But they aren't the only thing that matter. There are lesser triumphs as well. -

Actually open bars are not as common as you may might think. In New England they are rare. The facilities charge so much and there is liability. I have also been to a dry wedding. -
Funny thing is I have two PSLs (upper middle class in terms of pricing) and I called my rep recently and offered to buy two more at the $2,500 level on the spot and was told it will be a few months. I imagine that they're trying to get through untreated STHs first before they open it up STHs like me who have already been through, but I'm wondering whether sales are a bit slower than expected because I did not get anything resembling a "no" on my request.
