Anyone else into classical music?
AlCowlingsTaxiService replied to Roundybout's topic in Off the Wall
Seeing as how I played violin starting in fourth grade and sang in concert choirs through college and beyond, I definitely have an affinity for classical music. -

Looked good, takes horrible sacks, had a few good runs, faster than I thought. Rest of team was backups. One drive stated at Panther 8. T Mac from Carolina is gonna be a star. -
Camp question: Who is this year’s Buffalo Joe?
BillsFanForever19 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still maintain he'd have to unseat Van Demark. I suppose there's a chance they could keep an extra OL over what they had last year. But that also seems to be something discussed for a lot of different positions this season. -

He may be great, I dunno, but preseason. Peterman was a preseason warrior. -
you realize of course that the entire coaching staff goes as well. you're not just unplugging one guy you don't like. you are willing to ditch Brady, Kromer, et al in the process and start all over again with new schemes, mismatched scheme/players and all the restart that goes with that?? This board cracks me up. Give em a good, even a great thing and they trash it anyway.

Birdwatching As you can see from my life list of a bit more than 500, I do not take it very seriously (there are more than 10000 bird species). Unfortunately, my most interesting sighting I cannot even "count". 25 years ago, at the north end of Lake Conesus, I saw a Brewster's warbler, lovely little bird. However, Brewster's warblers are not a species per se; they are hybrids of blue-winged and golden-winged warblers. Model Railroads It started quite innocently when our son was born, but then Papa took over. We model our local railroad, the Santa Fe, during the transition period (late 1940s/early 1950s, when the railroads would run steam and diesel). Soon, I had to get a model of every locomotive the Santa Fe was running during that time. In many cases, mass-produced "plastic" models are available. If not, the only alternative is brass. Brass models of the last 30+ years are gorgeous and run very well. However, they are hand-made in very small amounts (I have locos of which only 10-50 models exist), which of course drives up the price. Under these circumstances, my wife will easily forgive me paying $600 for some birding binoculars.

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
machine gun kelly replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
i love it brother. I was the 3rd person on the post after we beat the Bills Jets game to win the AFCE in 1988. That was a great day as 8 of my college fraternity brothers and 5 of my dearest friends from HS at Frannies went together. We also had a friendly rival fraternity of 30 guys just on the other side of the tunnel. A great day. - Today

He has an instant HOF QB. In this equation there is only one number that isn’t adding up. HC+QB > HC+QB But , it is about the Defense. This is the point that those defending him keep skipping over. It doesn’t work when necessary AND a large part of that is on the HC. It is his scheme. Ostensibly, the players ( and types of player) that are being chosen to fit his scheme don’t elevate at the crucial moments. Other than NE, His D hasn’t dominated anyone in the playoffs of note. Baltimore was a lucky play ( albeit AWESOME) as they were driving easily to the EZ. Josh keeps him employed. After the inevitable meltdown by his D this year, I realize he will stay …… but he shouldn’t.

The reverse is true. Buffalo is that hated rival of each of the other AFCE teams. -

Most definitely, much if not all of the concourse will be open air. Think about it. You won’t go through doors with air-lock vestibules to get out into the seating bowl while carrying your beer. So yes, the perforated panels will definitely help cut down on wind in the concourses (which are huge by the way). It’s the precast concrete grandstands themselves that block the wind inside the bowl. Hope that helps. -
Not to derail this thread but with his continuing little injuries, I won't be surprised if Samuel doesn't make the team despite his high price tag. Either of Chase or Higgins would put this team over the top (literally and figuratively).

Camp question: Who is this year’s Buffalo Joe?

I think Lundt has better than an outside chance. I think he is 50/50 to make the 53. And he has had a very good camp. -

Many people on here know I’m an architect, and a high level one. (Not trying to brag…honestly.) I used those connections with people I know in the industry. It took a bit of coordination. -
Camp question: Who is this year’s Buffalo Joe?

The OP meant Buffalo Joe to mean an unheralded undrafted player who puts in the effort and shows enough to make the final cut. Don't focus on the "Buffalo" part of that term. -

Camp question: Who is this year’s Buffalo Joe?
BillsFanForever19 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not only not highly unlikely he makes the roster - it's highly unlikely he *doesn't* make the roster. Dorian Strong isn't like most 6 Round Picks that we take at the bottom of the Round or as a Supplemental Pick. He was the 1st Pick overall in Round 6. For example, Dorian Strong was taken with the 177th Pick in the Draft. Our 6th Round Pick last year, Daequan Hardy, was taken with the 219th Pick in the Draft. Technically, the same Round. But they were effectively taken almost a full Round and a Half from each other. Jordan Hancock (Pick 170), Jackson Hawes (Pick 173), and Dorian Strong (Pick 177) were all taken within 7 Picks of each other. It cracks me up when posters look at Hancock and Hawes as almost locks and Strong as a longshot bc he was taken in Round 6. Especially considering Strong was considered a steal where he was taken. Even if Hairston didn't get hurt, I still would have liked Strong's chances. Hancock is a Nickel/Safety Hybrid who isn't competing for the same roster spot. We'll keep 4 Boundary CB's. Benford, Hairston, and Tre are givens. The last spot comes down to Strong, Ja'Marcus Ingram, or Dane Jackson (who almost certainly will be cut for the Practice Squad). With Hairston hurt, they may choose to keep a 5th Boundary guy. And with Strong looking great in Camp in his stead - I would be very surprised if he didn't make it. We'd much easier get back Dane Jackson or Ja'Marcus Ingram on the Practice Squad than we would Dorian Strong. -
In his attempt to give flowers to Burrow he missed and gave to Allen you game plan Burrows weapons but you focus on just Allen so in other words Allen does way more with way less
-
I think it would have made sense to say the other way. It is hard to game plan Allen as he is improvising on every play. Burrow on the other hand is a "timing" QB like Montana, Brady etc...and it is easier to game plan as he is not moving around so much
-
But what he doesn't have is the accolades of All-Pro that McDuffie and Gonzalez have. Or the long term fame of Jalen Ramsey. Or the kind of attention that Pick 6'ing Mahomes in a Super Bowl victory brought Cooper DeJean. This isn't a PFF strictly performance based list. This is a player voted Top 100 of 1,696 players (53 man roster x 32 teams) popularity contest. We know Benford's great. But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone outside of Bills fans and analytics nerds (and again, this isn't that kind of list) that would put Benford in the Top 100. It also doesn't help that he went down with Concussions on the biggest stages for us last year. Maybe if that didn't happen and he made big time plays then, things would have been different for both the team and his chances to make the list.
-
That's the bonafide stuff list
-
It's mostly the club It took Dion 7 years to enter the club but it is what it is Realistically Josh, Dion, Jimbo , Spencer for the upcoming season If Milano healthy hell ya , benford 100% has a chance to become that guy, I think Dorian Williams is really underrated
