After all these years of accusing Democrats of politicizing and lying about this, you must be feeling pretty proud. I’m sure this will hit close to home - for you, your family, and your friends.

Such drivel, but at least you have the obligatory boogieman to blame. I’m quite convinced there are successful millennials (and successful boomers), unsuccessful millennials (and unsuccessful boomers) and so on. Your problem begins with the premise that millennials are “flat-out not given chances to succeed”. For all its warts, the opportunities for success in this country are limitless, but successful people usually are wired differently than unsuccessful people. Typically it starts with intellectual maturity, belief in oneself, the desire to work hard in exchange for the value derived, but the willingness to do things most others will not. I’m not even sure what you mean by a “boomer…passing the keys”, but assuming a younger person wants to work in X business, but the position they want is filled by the perpetually charming and delightfully competent L. Skin-nerd, the best course of action is to find something else to do. The end…or A Beginning? The guy in the story is unique. He’s the same type of unique individual in every other generation past and future. Good for him! -

What Are You Most Excited About This Coming Season?

The defense. I think the guys we picked up in FA and the draft will end up making the difference for us in the playoffs, finally. This will be a shutdown kind of defense. -

I was an assistant prof. the pay sucked but the students were amazing. As far as I know, all doing well and one spectacularly. I knew he'd be great. The cream always rises to the top. So satisfying. Like English pubs used to be. now, repeatedly post pics of UVA School of Medicine. You'd be lucky to have one of their grads as your doc. -

That was a great call that still is awesome watching it on television. Ball tipped and Intercepted by Leonard Smith- he’s going to go in… and Buffalo takes the lead! -

I am glad to see that you think he has elite vision, elusiveness and speed--tough from that base to then make the case he is not an elite back, player, Doc. I disagree with you on the lack of contact balance and power--he clearly has those, has gotten better and better at those things with each passing year. I was surprised that a smaller back was so strong in those areas in his fist year, though he was somewhat inconsistent. It made me think he maybe was what I thought he would be--an excellent weapon, because of those elite traits you mention, but not the main running back on the team, not 'the guy'. But then both of those things improved the last two years. I think in 2024 he had one of the best yards after contact in the league if I am correct-? And his (related) power, ability to plow through lines, was remarkable last year--he would not have gotten 18 touchdowns, and many of those not 'gimmes', but ones where he plowed through people, if he did not have power. The toughest place to run is near the goal line and he was clearly elite there, in his power. And as far as the pass receiving, well I addressed that in my post--he was not used enough in the passing game, none of the backs were, consistently, considering each is a talented receiver. I wanted to see Cook get the ball from Josh in the open field more than almost anything else on offense last year, but it was too infrequent. For example, if that alone happened in the championship game I believe the Bills win it. Not Cook's fault they did not have the sense to throw him the ball much more last year, he would have loved it, and so would we. This year... Well, for both of our sake, I hope I am right about the traits that you think he lacks, as I think all three of those things are also elite tools in Cook's arsenal. We will see soon! He will run and catch like a madman this year, with no more worries about his contract, his financial future secure. IMO. Beane is too good of a GM and too smart to play Russian roulette with one of the best players on the team, and one of the best in the league.
