Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault
MikePJ76 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually nope. I have loved what they have done on offense over the last 3 offseasons and am one of the few fans here who is not obsessed over wide receivers and understands the importance of the o line personnel and running game as a whole. go search my posts, I have loved all the offensive signings and draft picks. I feel the total opposite on the defense this offseason. Don’t say I said things I have never said. Simply search old posts, you will see I have been consistent in my opinions and thoughts on the roster construction here. -

@Doc Brown , are you not aware of Rule 17.5.b-33?: "If thy team were the Patriots circa 1999 - 2016, or the Chiefs circa 2017 - Present, thou mayest draft players with pasts more sordid than the foulest excrement of The Dark Lord, Himself, and mayest thou do so with impunity, as the blood of the NFL shield hath washed away your sins. However, if thou art from Upstate New York, or art a good human, or art honest and of an unbesmirched nature, thou shalt NOT draft a player with any shred of iniquity--present, past, or future--or thou shalt be violently and permanently castrated by mercenaries in zebra costumes, be made the laughing stock of the league, and be cast out into the night where there shall be much weeping and gnashing of teeth! Thus sayeth The Goddell, in mine mercy!" -

What do you mean? These are my takes. QBs matter way more than coaches. We have maybe the best QB in football, thus we are are a very good team. If we fired McD and replaced him with an average coach, I think its very likely nothing gets worse from where we are now, a team that is very good, in large part because we have a great QB. Sometimes, coaching changes can elevate a very good team into a Super Bowl team. These are all very congruent takes if you stop to think for a second. I don't know if you are aware, but divisions titles are based on overall wins....of the teams in the division. Ergo, you can win 8 games and win the division as long as the rest of the division wins no more than 7. Seeing as the Jets have a .290 winning percentage since 2020, the Pats have a .390 winning percentage and the Dolphins have a .559, no I'm really not shocked that averaging double digit wins with an elite QB (like I said, bare minimum coaching expectation) when the second best team in your division can barely manage .500 over that span is enough to win the division. FWIW, I wasn't super impressed when Brady and BB lorded over their division for 20 years or when Mahomes and co. do it now. In a league where there's barely 12-15 QBs worth a damn, and even 8-10 of those are a tier below those top 3 or 4 guys, when you have those top 3 or 4 guys, you are expected to win your division. Half the teams in your division will statistically not even have a franchise QB, and if you have an elite QB, the odds of another one being in your division is very small. -

Actually I just watched the press conference and Beane said he is a football coach and I am a GM and we can’t have all the facts of what happened and it’s a legal issue. He seemingly said the opposite of what the truth ended up being. -

I mean if she waited four years until he signed his rookie contract to file the civil suit that's quite the commitment and patience. -

Not the first time for CBS. Remember the fake Bush National Guard stuff that led to Dan Rather resigning? -

This presupposes that if an accuser loses their case, that definitively means they lied. That isn't true at all. Sometimes the best thing the courts can decide is that they don't know what happened which means no one is held liable and everybody has to just move on. I think the reason that these discussions get so polarizing is because most people are unable to accept such an unsatisfactory conclusion and want somebody in the story to be the bad guy. The world of course doesn't work that way. -

Yeah. You thought they messed up last off-season as well. And then the season before, for not having drafted Nakobe Dean to play MLB after Edmunds left. IOW, let's wait to see how the draft picks and players acquired turn out. -

I think his game translates better for the CFL which is where I think he ends up if he can let his ego not over rule such a move. -
Hey, how were you able to input the information re being a veteran? As an existing subscriber, I didn't see any way to enter info re being a veteran, teacher, etc. Thanks!

Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
Doc replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good question? Take a look at the Bills' 2017 roster and get back to me. LOL! Watt was passed-over by 27 teams. And again the Bills got Allen the following year so not even worth mentioning. -

I think that police departments do better investigations than schools. Do ya remember what happened at PennState? I for one would not take a school's word for any criminal investigation, but hey;.....that's just me. -

Oh sure I think anybody assuming anything about this case is nuts. It is a pure he said/she said from 4 years ago. But I am already seeing some takes online, including in this thread, about how Bills fans are hypocrites if we criticize Browns or Chiefs players, and I just want to be clear that every case should be looked at separately on its own merits. -

Farking Gold Diggers. Anyone bringing forward a case like this and loses should have to pay the exact same amount they were asking for to the person they accused. -

I’ve said my peace on it enough. beane completely blew free agency on the defensive side of the ball. Old,injured, declining, suspended players. the draft saved them and the free agents are going to be back ups at best and will not help this team get over the hump in anyway. just a lousy offseason before the draft which could also be not great if Hairston ends up in real trouble here and Deon walker is injured all year and/or plays poorly. just my opinion but the team has made repeated mistakes with personnel on defense. -

They lost their franchise QB and now they are completely out of the NFL. Makes sense. So coaching matters then huh? It's so funny how you're arguing coaching does and doesn't matter lol. This is hilarious. Its comical at this point. -
