  2. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/buffalo-bills/news/buffalo-bills-wide-receivers-warned-about-big-changes-cuts-coming-curtis-samuel-elijah-moore-nfl/c69d982f740194371679eca2 Article basically says the additions of Moore and Prather make Samuel’s roster spot vulnerable. Nice theory but Samuel has a cap hit of $9 mill, but a dead cap of 12. I’m not sure this exactly helps the Bills to cut Samuel during camp. I do see the similarities in the games of Moore and Samuel, and do agree that we probably don’t need both. However, cutting Samuel does more cap damage than good. Maybe it’s up to Brady to find good uses for his players. Entering the season, the Bills top 3 WRs are Shakir, Coleman and Palmer. The Bills have kept 5 the last 2 years, but have kept as many as 7 recently. This leaves Moore, Samuel, Shavers, Shenault, and Prather competing for 2 or 3 slots. I doubt we carry 7, but I think 6 is probable, especially if they move on from Codrington as a kick returner. All that said, I never understood the Samuel signing last year. His experience with Brady not withstanding, he brought a skill set we didn’t need since we had Shakir. I don’t understand the Moore signing either, as he also is an inside receiver. Although Samuel and Moore are track fast, neither has ever been used as a deep threat. Unless Brady begins to utilize them as deep threats, both are wasted signings other than injury insurance for Shakir.
  3. That's just a stunning (and I'd say deliberate) misreading of the constitution. Even setting aside the citizens vs. aliens thing, it is clear that the 5th Amendment applies to things other than "a criminal defendant facing prosecution." Again, just read the 5th Amendment: "No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law." Arresting and detaining an alien deprives him of "liberty" whether it is for a criminal or civil proceeding. That has been clearly established. Disgusting ignorance, or more likely, an attempt to convince the ignorant MAGAs of the constitutionality of arrest and detention and deportation without any due process whatsoever.
  4. I was downtown at a bar with some friends, that were not Bills fans. I was assuming an ass kicking was in order and had been bracing myself for the 💩 I was going to be getting that day. By the end, they were like “Wow, the Bills are legit this season.” Little did we know…
  5. i doubt she has any interest in mbj- heck shes as tall as he is. My wife laughed out loud when i mentioned it stating no woman would abandon Josh allen for a mbj. And the scene itself was pretty tame- fully clothed, intimacy coordinator brought in, barriers utilized, no touchey feely and she had a body double on set (maybe she was used for scene where she was photographed from behind etc)…..i get it. Thats not the issue imo. To me it reveals that she possibly put a ***** in his armour that can be exploited on the field. Can you imagine in those close chippy games the things they will be throwing out about his girl. I just feel that Josh deserves someone who is 100 percent loyal in every way. if we could negotiate a sign and trade for jared goffs wife…she is smoking hot and seem 150 percent dedicated to jared…we could even throw a late round pick or 2 lol Or the maybe it will fan the fires of rage and he will play with same reckless abandon he used to. And that was fun to watch anyway.Time will tell.
  6. 25 years into the new millennium has given us a lot of week games as Bills fans. The actual home opener is probably the best game yearly to attend as a Bills fan in terms of just anticipation as a fan and guaranteed energy in the stadium, but week one home or away has a truly special feel as a fan. Looking back was pretty fun as the Bills have had plenty of decent games but some truly great ones week 1 like the Rams on TNF or the Bears game in 2014... and a few just bad games like the 2018 47-3 implosion in Baltimore. I took a few minutes to rank from best to worst the last 25 years of Bills week 1 games. When ranking losses I judged not only on pain but expectations for the season also so a game like the 2002 OT loss to NY while an awful loss still gave hope at the time as Bledsoe looked really good. Not all losses are the same nor are all wins. Some games like losing 24-6 in 2000 or winning 22-7 over Houston in 2005 are relatively blah compared to the really good or really bad. Feel free to leave your thoughts, memories, what you hated or loved, and what you would change: 1 2022 31-10 win in LA on Opening Night (TNF) Bills fever was at max as they went to open the season against the Super Bowl Champion Rams with Von Miller now on roster. Buffalo blew out the Rams in spectacular fashion in the 2nd half capped by a 53 yard TD pass by Allen to Diggs 2 2003 31-0 rout over New England With the defense infused with new talent including Takeo Spikes & Lawyer Milloy last minute the Bills boat raced the rival Pats in a memorable opener for the ages. 3 2019 17-16 comeback win in NYC over the Jets Expectations were high in Buffalo & NYC that each teams young QB would a playoff berth. The Bills had a weird first half with some odd turnovers, but Josh Allen led a 17 pt comeback after the Bills went down 16-0 capped by a 38 yard John Brown TD with 3:00 minutes left. 4 2014 23-20 OT win in Chicago A whirlwind of an offseason included Ralphs passing, Jim Kelly beating cancer, & the Bills trading up for Sammy Watkins the Bills upset the Bears in Chicago with an OT win. Fred Jackson's 38 yard run in OT to setup the winning FG was one for the ages & the defense was good 5 2000 13-10 win over Titans on MNF At the time this game had mammoth hype as the Bills wanted revenge and the ending was just as memorable as the Bills special teams almost blew it again before Al Del Greco's kick went wide preserving a Bills victory 6 2015 27-14 win over the Colts With the hype at an all time hype under Rex Ryan & first year of Pegula ownership the Bills took down the Colts who were coming off an AFC title appearance and SB hopefuls at the time. Tyrod Taylor's 51 yard TD to Percy Harvin was a highlight for the year that got the Ralph going 7 2024 34-28 win over the Cardinals With many veteran studs gone it was expected to be a retool year and expectations were a bit lower. After sporting the Cardinals a 14-0 lead the Bills roared back as Josh found his groove and the defense successfully stopped a hail mary. 8 2017 21-12 win over the Jets First game of the McD/Beane era was billed as the toilet bowl both the Bills & Jets were expected to be really bad. Instead on a beautiful fall day the Bills beat the Jets at home in a fairly exciting game with Poyer & Hyde making some big plays & McCoy going for over 110 yards rushing. 9 2011 41-7 blowout win in KC Back in the royal blue uniforms the Bills trounced the Chiefs on opening day in KC. Ryan Fitzpatrick had four TDs as the Bills blew out the Chiefs in spectacular fashion 10 2020 27-17 win over the Jets With COVID altering the world the Bills hosted the Jets week 1 with no fans and made quick work of NY as Josh Allen threw for 300 yards for the first time in his career and Stefon Diggs had 88 yards in his first game 11 2008 34-10 beatdown of Seattle On a warm rainy opening day the Bills had a complete effort beating the Seahawks into submission. Brian Moorman pulled off a brilliant fake FG TD pass to Bills DE Ryan Denney while Trent Edwards had a solid day at QB 12 2005 22-7 win over the Texans In their throwback 1960's blue unis with the standing buffalo rookie QB JP Losman had a solid game in his first start on a beautiful September day as the Bills started 1-0. The highlight play was a TD pass from Losman to TE Jason Peters 13 2021 23-16 loss against the Steelers With Super Bowl expectations at an all time high and fans fully back in full force at home the Bills laid an egg against the Steelers as the offense outgained Pittsburgh, but a blocked Bills punt gave the Steelers a needed TD late in the game and Buffalo couldn't close the gap. 14 2006 19-17 loss in New England In Dick Jauron's first game as head coach the Bills had a 17-7 lead entering the 2nd half but couldn't hold as a safety in the 4th quarter gave the Patriots a 19-17 lead which they held to the end. 15 2023 22-16 OT loss in NYC against the Jets (MNF) In Aaron Rodgers first game as the Jets new QB & on the anniversary of 9/11 the Bills lost in NYC despite Rodgers playing just 2 downs. Josh had an all time bad game single handedly bringing the Jets back before special teams allowed a punt return TD in OT to finish the choke. 16 2010 15-10 loss at to Miami Chan Gailey was coaching his first game as the Bills lost a dull boring affair vs their rivals. The one Bills highlight was a 31 yard fourth down TD to Roscoe Parrish by Trent Edwards. 17 2001 24-6 loss against the Saints Despite leading 6-0 at half the Saints routed the Bills in the second half as Greg Williams first game as head coach went sour and Rob Johnson was bad and stud LB Sam Cowart hurt his achilles causing him to miss the remainder of the season 18 2002 37-31 OT loss against the Jets The hype coming into the season was sky high with Drew Bledsoe in the hold and a free agency that saw London Fletcher come in. An incredible back and forth game including a Bledsoe comeback ended in brutal pain as the Jets returned the opening kickoff in OT for a TD 19 2012 48-28 implosion in NYC against the Jets Expectations were high entering the season that this Bills team would end drought especially with Mario Williams signed and other additions. Instead the Bills 21-0 18 minutes into the season and everything went wrong fast before the offense found some life. 20 2013 23-21 heartbreaking loss to the Patriots With new head coach Doug Marrone & rookie QB EJ Manuel at the helm the Bills put a spirited fight in against New England holding a small lead late in the game before Brady led a last minute drive to put the Pats up late. 21 2016 13-7 loss in Baltimore In game that had the excitement of grass growing, the Bills offense was a major letdown, the Ravens had a nice passing TD, and everyone turned off the TV sad and bored. Worse any thoughts maybe the ship would be righted felt evaporated and the team wouldn't figure it out. 22 2018 47-3 destruction by the Ravens in Baltimore It was going to be a rebuilding year with Josh Allen drafted and some major cap hits being absorbed, but the Bills were down 26-0 at half. Nathan Peterman … Petermaned and Josh Allen ended up leading the team in passing despite not even playing until the 4th quarter. 23 2004 13-10 loss against the Jaguars Year 3 of Bledsoe and Year 1 of Mularkey ended in gut wrenching pain as the Jags benefited on the push out of bounds rule the NFL had with a game ending TD. This loss in retrospect was even worse as it kept the Bills out of the playoffs 24 2009 25-24 choke of a loss in New England on MNF With the Bills and fellow AFL sisters celebrating 50 years of football, the Bills went to New England for primetime. A seminal moment of the drought the Bills blew a 24-10 lead highlighted by Leodis McKelvin's kickoff fumble to lose to another Brady comeback. 25 2007 15-14 loss against Denver Whatever small optimism the season entered with was silenced as Bills TE Kevin Everett was hurt on kickoff in the 2nd half nearly paralyzing him. When the game restarted the Bills got a 14-6 lead but blew it as the Broncos got a last second 42 yard FG to win as time expired.
  7. Faux outrage because of something Trump did? No way. I'm willing to bet 99% of it is faux outrage and the one's that were personally offended aren't politicians using social media to say how offended they were.
  8. I have a great one. Buffalo versus NYG, opening night on Sunday Night Football on TNT in 1996. Game was not that memorable. Bills won 23-20 with an OT field goal by Christie. Just remember it because I watched with my dad and we celebrated once the kick went through. And yes, I was at the home game against Miami. Before I even got to my seat Williams had scored and it was 7-0. Once Moulds caught that TD pass I remember the PA announcer playing “Let it Snow” as a very light snowfall started moments earlier. The entire stadium was signing let it snow. It was a great moment and a textbook example of the amazing game experience for fans in December
  9. It'll go out west. San Fran, Hollywood, Seattle pier.
  10. ok we agree to disagree. It does matter if the offense performs and the defense does not. It is important to identify your strengths and weaknesses and adjust based on that and not just hyper focus on a high end passing game. IMO scoring 29 points and having no turnovers vs that defense is fine. The defense should have been able to limit the not that good KC offense like Houston and the Eagles were able to do.
  11. Liberals are crazy so ***** the constitution. That’s your take? lol. How about just follow the constitution. You all cried about it for years. Biden was a disaster on immigration. Do better. Don’t rationalize fascism.
  12. He's a heartless real estate mogul who works so hard that he has forgotten the Christmas spirit and hasn't been to a Bills game since the drought. She's a 3rd generation antique shop owner who is on the verge of bankruptcy. He feels bad about neglecting his mother again for the holidays and decides to kill two birds with one stone by visiting the antique shop he's hoping to acquire for pennies on the dollar. She helps him find the perfect item: a framed picture of Steve Kristie's game winning kick in the greatest comeback with his mom and passed father in the crowd. To keep up his hectic schedule, he rushes out the door and gets hit by a car on the street outside. But who just happens to be there with an AED to revive him but Damar Hamlin. Just then an unexpected blizzard strikes and they have to spend time together. She teaches him that real tailgating starts at 8:30am, he diversifies her portfolio with a focus on investing in companies with female empowerment. Damar gives them field passes and they hang with Josh and Kate Bishop. Credits roll.
  13. It might be time for us to draft a new QB by then. Josh is only under contract until 2030! 😲
  14. To the first highlighted, they didn't score on two drives of 4 down offense to lose those Chiefs games. In the imaginary world where clutch doesn't outweigh what you do in the first 50 minutes or so of a game then it only seems WORSE when you can't score when punting isn't an option and the defense is playing with their tongues hanging out. The closing minutes of a close game are where you see what people are capable of when they are fully invested. Clutch is everything because it's the only time when the vast majority of the people involved know the full consequence of not going all out in that moment. Human nature creates as many close games as a similarity in talent. Coaches coach themselves into close games, player effort/focus tends to fluctuate in the mundane moments of games. If the talent is close the game will usually be close at the end. It's why performing in the clutch earns such respect. When everyone is going 100% the best men generally make the plays and win the game. Difference makers. I do feel like they lost some ground to KC on paper. I think they finally got a LT. I think they are getting more dynamic offensively around Mahomes. Rice blew up in the second half of his rookie year and was on a 1400 yard pace when he got injured. Worthy was ascending rapidly and was great in the AFCCG and SB. Difference making talent. Baltimore got better in the draft too. They didn't have to draft for need like Buffalo, which bodes well for their result. And no, on paper our pass rush is not better. Ogunjobi and Hoecht did not have productive years rushing the passer. Von Miller was a much more efficient pass rusher than Bosa in 2024. History tells us not to expect much from second round DL talent as rookies. They got more name bodies and swapped out a seemingly washed up HOF'er for a younger but also seemingly washed up Hall of Very Good(but always injured) player. A lot has to go better this year than it did for these guys last year for it to be "much better". Not sure how you can assume it will. The secondary might be better if Max Hairston is really good. Who knows if that's the case. You have to anticipate continued decline from Taron Johnson. Tre White and Dane Jackson were trash in 2024 and fingers crossed that Benford's concussion issues at the end don't carry over because if he's not excellent again the secondary gets a lot worse. Agreed that the offense didn't get better. They had career years from Allen(decision making, protecting the ball), James Cook and the entire OL(health). It is unlikely to replicate those performances so they will need other players to step up to maintain.
  15. Royal With Cheese for everyone if we win the Super Bowl!
  16. If we can do a little better in vertical passing game and sure up secondary we should be good trying to outscore cinci is what scares me
  17. Sure was! The game that made him famous before the game and tweet that made him infamous.
  18. Speculation is that Buffalo could get the 2029 draft. Denver was in the running for the 2027 draft, which more likely means they will get the 2028 draft.
  19. Was going to say this one. 2014, the Bacarri Rambo game. Jordy Nelson dropped a sure-fire touchdown and we sacked Rogers later that drive. That was my first-ever regular season home game at the Ralph and it was a blast. Here’s one from that same season - Bills/Bears Week 1, 2014. Fred Jackson has a monster run/stiff arm in overtime to set up the game-winning field goal.
  20. Gotta go with a game I made it to Buffalo. There was a game years ago we played Philly at home. Close game, came down to the end and Bills forced Philly offside so they didn’t have to punt the ball back. Stadium was loud as *****!
  21. Was this the “Why So Serious” game?
  22. Oh yeah, Erie County is littered with flea bag motels. I’m sure the draftniks from Sheboygan will love it.
  23. I have nothing to contribute to this thread, other than that those years were rough.
