Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again
Nihilarian replied to Cubanmist 1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do so many Bills fans forget that this team is currently 4-1 and at the top of the AFC with Jacksonville and Indy? Daniel Jones, really? The bleating endlessly about changing the GM/HC because the team hasn't made it to a Super Bowl or won one with Joah Allen. Allow me to give some insight, as #17 is not perfect Josh Allen scrambled out of the pocket on the final scoring drive against the New England Patriots in a recent game, missing a wide-open Curtis Samuel as he anticipated pressure that didn't materialize, instead forcing a pass that was almost intercepted. The play design would have worked if Allen had stayed in the pocket, but his premature scramble negated the opportunity, resulting in a late and hurried throw to a different receiver. Samuel's Opportunity: While Allen was scrambling, a wide-open Curtis Samuel was running toward the opposite side of the field, creating a potentially easy touchdown. STUFF HAPPENS! So many fans seem to forget that the 2024 Buffalo Bills were the highest scoring offense in the league, playoffs included. The Bills made it to the AFC Championship game only to be screwed by the refs in spotting the ball ...not inches off target ...but feet. So much so that the NFL has now changed how it makes controversial spots. Now, in this last game, the lead ref is Shawn Hoculi, and he has a thing against the Buffalo Bills, it seems. -
The defense does still give me anxiety but looking at things clearly they were 3 of 9 on 3rd down and the Pats only had the ball 25 minutes. With a 10 minute TOP advantage and a decent showing from the defense if the offense doesn't turn the ball over 3 times we probably win by 2 scores.

The NEW Bills Stadium and the NEW Las Vegas

The video game thing was more to the fact of the tariffs. Stuff didn't get cheaper, it got more expensive. -
Yes. in the long run the Bills will be proven right by having smaller capacity. It will be fine. In the short run, while the team is very good and with the novelty of wanting to experience the new stadium... fans will pump of the prices of tickets on the secondary markets to extremely high levels. Speaking of high prices, I just paid $300/ea for the Saints game tickets, lower level corners and the Bucs and Chiefs are way more. So the outrageous prices are in full swing to say goodbye to Rich Stadium.

Stop with the "soft zone" complaints. You're just showing that you aren't actually watching what the defense is doing. The offense turned the ball over three times. The best QB in the NFL directly contributed to throwing this game away. Yes, the defense wasn't good in the 2nd half, but Allen shares in the blame and is at least an equal party to it.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots

I dont think its a lack of self-scouting. With as obsessive as McDermott is I highly doubt they don't know those tendencies explicitly. I think its more rooted in a belief of "This is what we do really well. We believe if we put our best against your best we will win." Its the same reason when something starts to work in a game, you'll see Brady do it two or three times in a row. Thurman Thomas talks a lot about the Bills only have 5 run plays. But they were successful, so they did it over and over. When you watch Brady's offense its relies heavily on execution over scheme. Its not complex in the least. -
Now this https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2025/10/08/rutgers-mark-bray-antifa/ Faced with a stream of death threats, a Rutgers University history professor who teaches about antifascism said he is moving out of the United States just a month into the fall semester. Mark Bray, who has taught at Rutgers since 2019, told his students Sunday that his courses would move online immediately. Get concise answers to your questions. Try Ask The Post AI. “Since my family and I do not feel safe in our home at the moment, we are moving for the year to Europe,” Bray said in an email to students. “Truly I am so bummed about not being able to spend time with you all in the classroom.” Several far-right activists and other social media users homed in on Bray in late September, after he was quoted in news stories about President Donald Trump’s executive order designating antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization.” Bray has written four books on anarchism and antifa — a far-left decentralized global movement whose proponents oppose fascism.

"Everyone eats" is about making lemonade with lemons. It's what you default to when you don't have a dawg. But it's also the motto of a culture that stresses teamwork and team success over individual accomplishments. In that sense, I love it.

Shakir is in the slot. Slot players don't play as much. The fact is, we don't have a receiver worthy of being out there 80% of the time. Thanks for providing the evidence. Most people just say things that they figure are true without actually doing the homework to back it up.

Right? It's amazing how someone can be so narcissistic to simply say "what this person did was indefensible and there's no excuse for it..." But then they feel the need to go on and say something like " this guy is a real good guy who has slipped up a few times, he's no different than Saddam Hussein and that he gets a little worked up sometimes even though he can really get people behind him he really means well. Anytime he has been on the wrong side of the law has been because he is truly passionate in life and looks to push things in all aspects like doing 150 mph in a school zone or the 30 keys of cocaine found on him." This guy reminds me of that guy running for office down in Florida who was found a week after the election with dude hookers and a bunch of drugs.

People can see the writing on the wall. Year 8 with the best QB in football - probably the most physically-gifted QB ever - and they can't get to the promised land because the same fatal flaws keep cropping up over and over and over again. They looked brutal for long stretches during most of their wins, by the way.

Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again
hondo in seattle replied to Cubanmist 1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Out of curiosity, do you think we have the best roster in the AFC? If not, why would you fire your coach if we don't reach the SB? Have we ever had the best roster in the AFC? And I mean the guys who suited up, not guys on IR or suspended. You and I probably evaluate the talent on the team differently because since McD arrived, I've never thought Beane gave him a Lombardi-quality squad to work with. If we want McD to win a SB, we're asking him to overperform with what he's been given. -
Hey look, it's an idiot shifting the goal post because being an idiot is easier than actually standing by principles and you know, denouncing killing children? How high functioning of a ###### are you? Serious question. Do you approach ambient room temperature? Are you up to tap water? I want to be very careful I. how I approach further insults as to maximize my ability to offend you. Okay, your ability to remember what the media has told you to say it shows your IQ to be that of about a lukewarm tap water from a Sheetz Therefore this should be easy for you to understand, any of these claims you make about Trump declaring war did not specify an individual or name them to have bodily harm or death. Very big difference, the difference between someone who has intelligence and you for example I don't know that there's been a republican to openly call for the murder of children, but if there was I'm sure that many here would denounce it. But feel free to look for an example of it, I don't know that it exists. The closest would be Rush Limbaugh I want Chelsea Clinton ugly.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots
Marcus Aurelius replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
One more thing ... If what you're saying is true (and I believe that it is) ... Then the failure of the Bills running game in the Pats game is primarily on the OC, a failure to self-scout tendencies ... -
Well for whatever PFF says he's giving up a QB rating over 100 and people are catching 2/3 rds of the passes thrown their way when he's covering and that's healthy as far as I know. Just checked White. Better QB rating (barely), 4 yards less per completion, but a higher completion percentage.

You must be kidding. It’s not good enough that the defense “forced” the winning field goal. The point of the post was that the defensive scheme there allowed this “longer” field goal. Bills O has turned the ball over less than any team in the NFL. Turnovers happen, you can’t win the turnover battle “every” game. It just doesn’t work that way

Bring back Douglas and Cooper?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
For those that are interested, someone told me today Rasul Douglas is PFF top 8 CB in the league, while Tre is one of the worst. As I posted weeks ago, he was the guy to bring back when Hairston went down.
