Great win. the passing attack was out of kilter in the first half mostly due to mental mistakes: Dawkins on taking the outside blitzer and not the inside one; not lining up properly on a 3rd and short that Allen converted giving the Bills a first & goal; and a bad holding penalty. Looked better in the 2nd half. Cook was on fire in part because the O line blocked the run great and partly because the Panthers focused on stopping the Bills short passing attack and Allen runs. This is what complimentary football looks like. The D looked very good with the 2 suspended guys having a big impact. 55 was around the QB on almost every pass. Epenesa had a great game as did Poyner. The rookie was glued to the WR while in the game and had a great tackle where he closed the gap very fast. Oh and Bishop played very well. -
Hmm that's a really tough one for me. Olave is the higher floor and more expensive, BTJ is the higher ceiling and cheaper. Olave also has a real injury concern. Gun to my head I probably take the higher floor in Olave because I know exactly what I'm getting with him and I think it's enough to push this offense over the top. BTJ there is a legit concern that he is mentally broken. But more and more reports are coming out that they are not going to trade Olave. So BTJ might be the only #1 option available. If they can add Shaheed sure do it, but we need more.

Palmer is solid too…still think we should add one more but I don’t see that injury talked about a lot.. even if you have a pretty low opinion of him getting someone like Elijah Moore off the field and palmer on is a big upgrade any way you slice it -
Cook Walker AJ Epenesa Shakir O-Line

I definitely thought this game would be much closer -
100 percent. He can say what he potentially thinks it is. But to diagnose it without testing it? No credible doctor would do that

Carolina knew the game was over. They weren't playing with any urgency or intensity in the 4Q. We were running it down their throat because we had that luxury this game. What happens in games we don't against good teams? On paper, this WR room should've been at least on par with last year or better. It's not. It's bottom tier in the league. Nobody is doing much of anything other than Shakir. We're actually missing Mack Hollins. He made lots of big catches for us. -
but I would take 2024 Thomas over Olave

Jags listening to trade calls for Brian Thomas
Buffalo716 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except Stefan diggs average 18 yards of catch one season in Minnesota Had another season where he had a hundred catches And then had 5 seasons above 60% catch rate Btj is at 49% right now which is not effective.. diggs had 67% the year before we traded for him -
Jags listening to trade calls for Brian Thomas
BuffaloBillyG replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing to remember. THEY didn't pay Gabe. THEY didn't grab Zay. THEY didn't pay Kirk. THEY didn't draft BTJ. THEY (the current coach/GM) weren't in charge when these moves happened. They did give up a lot to go get Hunter and they did grab Brown. They have as much loyalty bto the Thomas pick as they did for Zay, Gabe and Kirk...all of which are no longer there. -
Olave. He loves ball. Thomas is a mystery

I do not believe this is true -
It's not. Every defensive draft pick is either: 1) Healthy and bad 2) Bad and injured 3) Good but injured alot The best ability is availability. I don't care how good a guy is if he can't stay on the field.

Did McDermott take over defensive play calls today?
Simon replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said it and I'm occasionally schizophrenic -
I crap on Brady numerous times weekly and I’m not sure if I’m impressed today because my bar for him is so low, or if he deserves some credit here.

No, because if they lose the next game, it is "Babich calling the plays" -
Well, blow me down! 😁

It’s kinda a lose/lose because if we win people will say the chiefs don’t try until the playoffs 😂
