  1. Past hour
  2. @sherpa, I've been waiting for you to weigh-in on some of these issues, legal, strategic, tactical. I trust your knowledge here. Legal: I'll leave the basis for the strikes in general to the lawyers. But what about the "two tap" subsequent bombing of the survivors? Strategic/Tactical: I confess ignorance here. I had to do some digging. Tell me if I'm wrong about any of the following: - the boats are shipping cocaine, not fentanyl - the boats are headed to some non-US trans-shipment point; they lack the practical range to make it to the US coastline uninterrupted - the Coast Guard generally intercepts such boats
  3. And he got $9.7 million for doing that, I did not intend to say it was just where is family is or is not, sorry it you took it that way. I laid out the financial benefits for him to go finish the season somewhere else. It is not just one thing (money or family) it is several. At least I bet those are the things going through his head and discussing with his agent. And that contract has parameters for both parties, he does not get to not show up and get paid his base.
  4. I'll be interested to see if they can force this onto the International stadiums
  5. My bold idea was as soon as the Bills lost the coin toss in OT in the 13 seconds game vs KC that the Bills defense was so bad (which meant we would inevitably lose (and we did)) that McD should have done the balls out call of all time which was kicking an onside kick to start overtime. They never would have expected us to do it and if successful we win the game. I'm not sure if that would be even possible/legal with today's onside kick rules.
  6. Well Donald got his medal, so we can check that off the list. The 2026 World Cup will be cohosted by USA, Canada and Mexico. Fifa has also strengthened its ties with Trump’s inner circle. Earlier this year, the organisation appointed Trump’s daughter Ivanka to the board of a $100m education initiative funded in part by 2026 World Cupticket revenues. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/dec/05/fifa-peace-prize-trump-world-cup-infantino
  7. I wonder if the Bills new stadium is good, or if it will need to be updated also. NFL mandates new playing surfaces for all stadiums by 2028 to enhance player safety
  8. It’s one of those ‘ended up a bad result for both teams’ type trades so far. I think both fan bases have reason to be disappointed with it chiefs were really in no position to give up a third with their dwindling talent and they spent a first on a guy that hasn’t looked much better than like an MVS level player to me so far despite having the best play caller in the league. Can’t even imagine what worthy would’ve looked like in Buffalo with Brady callin plays but it really can’t be much better than Coleman has been 😆 at least Coleman can run block which gets him snaps the bills certainly may have misused that third round pick but that doesn’t mean the chiefs would have had they not shipped it off to the bills
  9. I broadly agree with most of the OP points. What you have to be careful about with the AAV argument on contracts is that two edge rushers getting $20M per year don't add up to one true difference maker getting $40/ year. You can have 6 decent defensive linemen at $20M/ year and it doesn't add up to one true difference maker imo. (Obviously this is impossible with the cap, and you need depth). You have to have a couple real stars, and we just don't have them on defense at all. Benford is solid. I have hope for Bishop. It's too soon to say with Hairston. I keep hearing how good Rousseau is against the run but we normally suck against the run. Oliver comes and goes and we still get run over. Bernard looks like an albatross contract right now. Milano is getting old. I just don't think Beane can judge talent well, and he has got the team into a tight cap situation with only two difference makers (Allen, Cook). The WR argument has has been beaten to death. If it was me, I would reset this offseason. It would be risky, but we have a window to win it all and it'll shut if you don't do something soon. The current regime has run its course.
  10. Wrong thread. Julie was kind of the Patient Zero in publicizing the truly asinine "inside job" pipe bomber theory. I trust you can find her in her usual rat hole.
  11. We only pay him if he reports. If he decides to “retire” or sit out we can put him on the did not report and he does not get paid. We have to hold the money, but his contract is contingent on him being here and playing.
  12. We wouldn't and according to https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/darius-slay-wont-commit-as-to-whether-he-would-have-reported-to-the-eagles we'd get money. The other wrinkle relates to the ability of the Bills to play hardball with Slay. If Slay fails to report, a portion of his $8.745 million signing bonus could be recovered by the Bills, even though the Bills paid none of it. It’s a simple proposition. The signing bonus represents advance compensation for future services. Failing to provide those services exposes the player to losing some of that compensation.
  13. I'm a lot pickier now with what I add to my collection, thank just buying anything because it says Bills on it.
  14. Pffffftttttt. I don't see a single Little People set from Wegmans in that "hoard".
  15. Your wrote "pro stadium builds"..."worst he has ever seen". Read to me you were addressing the physical stadium. Now you are talking about financing, maybe that is true if you are talking about financing which I as a NYS non-tax payer could care less about.
  16. @Rochesterfanwhy did you disagree? we take on his contract because we signed him.
  17. I'll miss Whositnamenow, he was pretty good/bad idk I can;t even remember his name
  18. I say Beane has to go. This BBB nickname is BS, Allen is who had saved his job. Get McDermott a GM that can scout a hell of a lot better and let's see what happens.
  19. what an absolutely SHOCKING turn of events!!! I didn’t see this coming at all!
  20. Quit your day job, become an NFL GM, then tell us how "easy" it is to put together a Super Bowl roster every year that EVERY fan on earth agrees with 100%. Good luck.
  21. The "fumble" by Allen on that fancy handoff was emblematic of hubris on the part of the bills. No need to go that deep in the playbook that early especially when the bills had a then very effective pass game going.
  22. It be a better trade for us if DeWayne Carter amounted to more. All I wlll say is Xavier Worthy AND Keon Coleman have both failed to live up to their draft expectations, personally I'd rather have Coleman of the two.
  23. Unless I Can find it on some station on DTV I'm SOL

  25. I think that wrist injury sunk cooper tbh…probably would’ve hung it up sooner but didn’t want to quit on the team after we traded for him so he tried to play through it
  26. Getting ahead of ourselves here but what do we do with this guy when his contract is up? He just cant stay on the field. And when he does he goes invisible sometimes as well. I dont know if any team would be willing to pay him. If we do it feels like one of those wasted contracts that will sit on the IR half the year.
