  1. Past hour
  2. McD was wrong. Again. That doesnt reflect well on McD.
  3. I have the Bills currently spending 267,830,925 so far. This figure included the value of the cap hit for 50 players, the projected cost of the 3 unsigned draft picks ($5,805,358), and dead cap of $30,755,741. The dead cap figure includes $29,421,258 for void years and dead cap hits for players previously cut plus $1,334,483 for guys who will be cut. In the last category, the biggest hits come from Dane Jackson, Cam Lewis and Prather. We can save about $300K in cap by keeping Prather and cutting Shenault. The biggest question is how do the Bills and handle the cap associated with idiots Hoecht and Ogunjobi. My understanding is that their signing bonuses hit the cap immediately, but not their base salary until they return. What I don't know is how things like a roster bonus or workout bonus affect the cap now. Hoecht ($4,488,000) and Ogunjobi ($4,106,684) each have $3 mill base salaries. Hoecht's roster bonus is 510K and Ogunjobi's is 150K. If add in the entire cap hit to the Bills current expenditures, I have the Bills at $276,425,609 on a cap of 279 mill. However, the Bills gain $2,117,647 in savings from the games checks forfeited by Hoecht and Ogunjobi. All in all the Bills seem to have about 4.6 mill to play with. I know there are other adjustments, such as carryover from last year, but the information on those adjustments isn't clear. I went through this exercise because the two websites, spotrac.com and overthecap.com, only calculate the cap based on the top 51 largest contracts. I wanted to see what the team actually looks like based on the 53 players who will most likely make the roster and have a spreadsheet I could utilize to determine what if scenarios such as Ingram vs Lewis for the final DB slot or Codrington vs Shenault for the KR slot. Right now I have Ingram and Shenault on the roster.
  4. McD thought different personnel were better suited to play on the critical drive at crunch time than Cook. That does not reflect well on Cook. You call it a clear mistake that Cook wasn't out there but yet you don't know why. I don't know why McD did not have Cook out there, but I'm extremely confident McD wanted to win. And McD thought his best way to win at that time was with different players than Cook out there. While Spotrac is just one service giving their evaluation at $10.2M, it should help some understand why many think the $15M claim was ridiculous.
  5. Josh is very supportive and a bit hyperbolic in his praise of his team mates. And Johnson is likely our best 3rd down back. But it doesnt matter when Cook keeps us out of 3rd downs. Another botch-job by the coaches. Sounds like they should have used Cook so Josh didnt break his hand. Doesnt matter.
  6. I get what your claim is, but it was absolutely church doctrine then, as Rome was attempting to fund St Peters. I provided a link that was from 1999, and it outlined the practice, obviously still in place per doctrine. It may have changed from money to other things, but there is no denying it. I am very uncomfortable pointing these things out, as the Catholic Church has been a far more positive influence on humanity throughout their existence, and schools/hospitals and charity and mission work has benefitted our country and others immensely. But....if the issue is theology, inventing stuff puts it on very thin ice that the rest of Christiandom does not agree with, and is absolutely not Biblically supported.
  7. I'm seeing Devo in Boston tonight.
  8. He is the 2nd best player on our team. In a year, he will cost more. Pay him the 12.5. You might say this is a bad precedent, but I don’t see that would be perceived as meeting his demands. Also, all of the other deals were only for good players. I would guess that you don’t see JC as borderline elite. I do, especially for the offense we run without a burner WR. Tack this on after this year. In 3-5 years, he won’t be in the top 20% of RB pay. Good down payment for a Lombardi. JC is two furlongs ahead of what’s in the stable.
  9. Technically, we did lose a game this year...
  10. Johnson is our best 3rd down back, or Josh Allen is a liar. Btw...The opener against Arizona where Josh dives and busts his hand, the announcers make note Johonson is in the game vs Cook. Cook is a 2 down back and not a good blocker to boot.
  11. The (few) corrupt medieval bishops were telling people if they just paid they would receive the indulgence. That’s not how they work. But that became the historical “lede” if you will. There was no church doctrine that said just pay and your sins will be forgiven.
  12. Yes...I believe there will be q superbowl this year.
  13. I...... got a feeeeeling! 🐃🏆
  14. I'd say DaQuan Jones. His release frees-up $5.5M.
  15. Here are our last 3 drives. It's clear the coaches had our best player on the bench. It's also clear it doesnt matter that Cook is a "2-down back" since when he does get the ball on early downs, we never get to 3rd down... Drive 1: Good comparison for everyone who still talks about Cook's old fumbles and drops and thinks Davis is going to step right in to replace him... Drive 2. Another good comparison for everyone who thinks Johnson is such a better 3rd down/receiving threat. Drive 3. Last drive of the game, Bills get the ball with 4minutes left. Coaches panic and meltdown in KC, AGAIN. Forcing passing plays when the run game was working. And we just needed a FG to stay in it.
  16. Here’s the thing. They gave Josh two new weapons in Palmer and Moore. You not liking their choices is not the same as the team not giving him any new weapons.
  17. I really get a kick out of you. You claim they're not mentioned in the Bible, yet the first Gentile to become Christian was a eunuch. Read Acts 8 vs 26. Read the story of Esther, which is so interesting it should be made into a movie. A personal question. Do you ever research things you post?
  18. I dont think anyone would have though of/said JP Losman or EJ Manuel
  19. No doubt BAl & KCY got theirs in the draft and FA, however, this is a post where everyone seems to be making reference to *weird* feelings, and I have one on my own, for some reason I think that PM15, even if still a youngster, has already peaked, maybe since 2023? and it showed on the past SB, they got us again, but it was in thier backyard, after a very iffy season, where, we can say they got the top 1 seed, in many things going their way, one of them with a blocked (superlow) kick fron DVR, or a ball snapped into OAKs QB shoulder, but never in dominating fashion. Lamar is Lamar, but one QB thta has not distiguished himself for stepping up on key moments, but because of shrinking... so, maybe our *luck* comes from the joint in time, for both of those two teams, not being at thier peak at QB?...who knows?
  20. My first comment was it's just a kid saying he wants to take on the best. Totally understandable. But to name drop Allen brings a level of attention he may not want as a rookie.
  21. Well, I keep on thinkin' 'bout you, Sister Golden Hair surprise And I just can't live without you Can't you see it in my eyes? I been one poor correspondent, and I been too, too hard to find But it doesn't mean you ain't been on my mind
  22. cool. tell me what it says about them. I mean the purpose was too stop guards from banging the king's concubines, right. They were usually slaves. Lot's of slaves mentioned in the bible, so maybe. So did someone speak out agains eunuchism? I think nowadays everyone thinks being a eunuch is undesirable. I guess there's probably a few people on the periphery who might find it appealing some how. As long as they don't bother me.....
  23. I didn't before but your words have convinced me .
