Atl defense is no.1 in the league in lowest YPG allowed. IMO YPG is hardly the most reliable metric, but if you're no.1 in the league after 4 games then it's reliable enough to say your defense is playing well.

Chargers look cooked with both tackles out and now both RBs also, Hampton was starting to look good. Herbert and receivers good enough to remain competitive, but losing to the Giants and being trashed by the Commanders suggests a much lower ceiling than it looked like. Broncos look legit, so I reckon KC as 5 seed, which lines up for playing them in the Divisional at home. Again. *Other things may happen in the remaining 13 weeks of the season

I’ll be honest. I don’t think home field matters at all when it comes to the Bills and Chiefs. I believe both teams are comfortable in the other teams stadium. Baltimore was the venue I was hoping to avoid and that is now a given.

i think it has a lot of people vacillating between... calm down we are 4 -1 and we have the same old same old... I am slowing moving to same old same old... FA failures, spending insane money on D with literally no return... at the expense of getting Josh weapons... Draft misses, poor discipline retaining coaches like Babich who is a yes man to MCds D... lots of stuff to suggest that this FO is more akin to the Chuck Knox syndrome, good enough to get you in the conversation but fatally flawed to win it all.... then I look at the Polian years and remember them wanting him out... and we wandered in the abyss for 25 years... Plenty of concern to go around... not looking to hit any kind of panic button, but my hope is that Beane and McD can look introspecitively and bring in folks that are better at what they seem to be blind at....

This is the hard part. Hawkeye-style tech should be able to tells us exactly where the ball is at any given point. But I don’t think we’re at a point (yet) where it can tell you when the player is down - particularly since “down” can also include having forward progress stopped, as well as starting the process of a slide. That’s not to say that we couldn’t have a significant improvement with better tech, though. Maybe just for reviews of really close calls or something. Maybe the reviewer identifies a given timestamp as “down” and the system spits out the exact position of the ball at that time.

As big an arm as Josh has, in my memory, he just hasn't been very effective at the long ball / deeeeep pass. The few in recent seasons have tended to be INTs which apologists have then called "arm punts."

I'm back home from Buffalo. Haven't read this entire thread, so I don't know if anyone has said what I'm about to say. I agree. No more white outs. And no more silly special unis. And it's not because it's some kind of jinx. It's because the Bills are who they are, and they shouldn't try to be something trendy. Guy in front of me wore his standard blue Josh Allen game jersey. He said he's been wearing for three seasons, and he wasn't going to change for some silly white out thing. Same thing with the towels. Every time they pass out towels, it's stupid. Towels are a Steelers thing, and we look like junior high school trying to be cool like the high school kids when management tries to generate excitement by copying the Steelers. The Giants play in their standard blue just about all the time. They're happy to be who they are. The Bills are the Bills. The fans are proud of who the team is, and who the Bills are. We don't need gimmicky BS. We're blue collar, and we wear the same stuff every week. Team should too. And one more thing: The Bills are raking in millions with their seat licenses. They don't need to gouge us all for another $200 selling us special white game jerseys.

Orchard Park HS has a better defense than the Bills. I wonder what is worse right now. The Bills defense or the Yankees pitching. It's been a tough few day's sports wise for me.

The defense has me questioning if McDermott and Beane know what they are doing. The Bills will probably have to win a high scoring game vs the Falcons. Similar to what the Bucs and Seahawks game looked like this past Sunday.
