  1. Past hour
  2. The defender wasn’t even looking back at all, then impedes Shakir who is trying to work towards it. Obvious PI in every circumstance. it also had to be a catch because the ball didn’t hit the ground. Now, shakri had it in his arms and fell straight to the ground. The guy who wasn’t even looking at the ball couldn’t possibly have caught it. two obvious and easy calls.
  3. You are making it personal. With respect, I'm not going there because that's not what this forum is about. Go Bills!
  4. The DB made contact with Shakir and didn’t have his head turned around. That’s a textbook PI that gets called almost every time.
  5. It is most defeinitely a criterion commonly used for DPI
  6. Ah, so that's the trick
  7. LOL wait till we are rooting hard for the Jets... gonna be the same thing... although... lemme make you feel a little better... at this point shouldnt we be rooting for wins for both the Jets and the Dolphins to worsen their draft position as well as improve or SOS rating for tie breakers (this is a stretch I know)... but you can root for them out of spite and desire to make life more difficult for them... and in some remote world we could benefit in some weird tie breaker... Best I got... LOL
  8. I've heard talk in other games of changing the rule for underthrown balls. It's a tough one though. I personally think spot foul for pi is too much and I prefer kind of the college model.
  9. Impeding the path with contact is; there was a call later against them that was an example (maybe Coleman). There was another time where White (I think it was) had the same type of play that Shakir had against him but no contact.
  10. If you make any contact while doing those things they directly lead to the PI almost every time.
  11. He pulled it away the second they both hit the ground. I myself thought it may have been picked. That play was blown dead upon both players hitting the ground, at least that was apparently what the ruling was
  12. I think an argument can be made either way on the catch. There was one angle where it looked to me that Shakir had the ball in both hands trapped between bodies. They were on the ground at this point and the ball was ripped after. Thats already down by contact. As for the PI, we have seen that call a million times. It was the right call because thats how they call it almost all the time.
  13. It was definitely DPI and definitely not a catch imo
  14. I wish I could go to this one. Tix so cheap and I've never been to Browns stadium. Got too much going on though. Damn kids.
  15. Neither of those things are penalties in the NFL. The contact he made pushing Shakir before the ball arrived was what was illegal.
  16. Josh is 9-6 against the Pats*** including the playoff win. He began his career 0-3 vs Brady (didn’t play in the 1st game in 2018), and obviously didn’t play even though he “started” last season’s finale. So he’s 9-3 since Brady left. I’d say a 75% win rate is pretty dominant.
  17. not a Brady guy. I can see him walking into wr room and his mantra must be....I can work with this, I can work with this...
  18. It was interference, but this kind of PI needs to be different or something and not a spot-foul. The underthrown deep ball where the receiver needs to stop and the defender runs into him. It is kind of a cheap way to pick up 30 yards.
  19. The call was 100% right. Take away that the defender did come up with it and could have been ruled a INT - there was obvious PI before that. Beyond that I didn't see any controversial calls that made me feel strong. I remain unbiased when it comes to them.
  20. Ok I can take a hint. I’ll try harder with better content I swear!
  21. Then blame Brady if the play doesn't work lol
  22. This part I disagree with. Shakir had the ball in his arms for a second but it almost looks as if it just slipped out into the defender's hands. Never saw him attempt to rip it out.
  23. Would have been super late on the play if at all..
  24. This. I watched the condensed game on the NFL app *twice* last night because I was enjoying it so much, and with each watch it became more apparent: Drake Maye is basically JAG who was on a bit of a heater. What were his “great” throws yesterday? The sideline throw on 3rd down that Boutte had to dive for that shouldn’t even have counted? The crosser in the second half that Hollins had to risk his life by leaping for? I saw receivers making plays, not a quarterback throwing darts. (And then later on I saw receivers making more business decisions.) Most of his throws were little swing passes to wide-open guys - first reads, even. When he tried to take the top off the defense, he just wasn’t accurate. He ran a handful of times but nothing that made you grab your head and go wtf like Mahomes. It seemed like the Bills were content to let him run a bit while making sure his deep options were covered. Even in the first half, our D was basically dictating the terms of the game to him. That’s why they had to run that gadget play. Josh Allen led six fourth-quarter comebacks and eight game-winning drives in his first two seasons. Drake Maye so far has zero fourth-quarter comebacks and one game-winning drive in his two years (the one that ended in a long FG against us). It’s hilarious that he’s even in this conversation.
  25. Josh Allen is the face of the NFL these days. If you go to the Jets board they don't quite complain about Allen getting the calls as Mahines but it's starting to get there.
  26. I have said it over the past few years on a couple Sabres boards... but the team will respond if there is significant change. There will be energy and it will be noticeable. I wonder if the news (and internal knowledge) coming down that management is going to change has already had a positive effect. Now watch Pegula give Adams another extension instead and name Appert head coach for life.
