Around the League - Week 13 (no Bills stuff in this thread please)
MrEpsYtown replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
What is crazy is that replay assist steps in at the weirdest, unnecessary moments, but doesn't jump in when these obvious errors occur. And that's a huge red flag. -

Pats going with their classic look tonight. -
A healthy dose of Cook and Ray will get the job done.

Anderson is not an NFL RT and struggled, but you have to commend him for contributing to the win and finding a way. The quality of OL play around the league is so bad, Van Demark deserves a shot to start somewhere. He is at the very least serviceable. He looks a lot better on the left side than he does on the right imo. I am the anti-hope guy, but I think those two deserve some credit for contributing to the win and making it through in a tough spot.

Did Josh knee Cam Heyward in the stomach?
SoCal Deek replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
THAT is the play? Come on! Cam needs to retire. He completely lost it over THAT? The Steelers in general were a mess yesterday and it looked like Tomlin and Rodgers (a veteran coach and his quarterback) both know it. -
Pound the rock with Cook and keep Burrow on the sideline as much as possible. A repeat of the Steelers game works for me.
-
Taron probably played his best game in 2 years imo. The Steelers were a wounded animal offensively, but credit where credit is due.
-
Can they? Sure. Will they? Probably not.
-
Vandy used to be the butt of jokes, but they seem to have turned a corner and i'd like to see them in the finals.
-
Even if the Vikings were to trade him does Buffalo's salary cap situation make it possible for the Bills to get him.
-
So he’d be doing wr screens and jet sweeps, right?
-
Love the over-the-top defensive borderline-taunt cellies on a pass defense or tackling Cook after only 4 or 5 yards. General rule is: if the opponent can point to the scoreboard as a response, you probably need to make a few more plays before you start that stuff.

Kill Everybody --- Illegal Order?

Sometimes understanding a person's motives for saying something is more important than what they say. -
Probably not but it's possible. The Bengals game got tougher with Burrow back, but Philly might not be as tough as we thought. The Eagles just don't look right for some reason. NE will be tough especially on the road. The Browns and Jets should be wins.

Did anyone else see the switch flip with Josh Allen?
Ralonzo replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think at this point the Bills have calculated they don't want to tap into that in the regular season so much. Just enough to get to the playoffs. I get it, there's only so much of that in a career. -
Doubt they’d ever trade Jefferson. They’ll sign a Mac Jones type QB in the off-season. Could see them move Addison for a 1st as they probably aren’t interested in paying 2 WR’s $35m+ per year.

Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)
CSBill replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry for the circumstances, Dery. But glad you can make the best of it. -
I just watched this in slo mo and frame by frame repeatedly - like analyzing the Zapruder film. After the tackle, Josh is on his left side, with Heywood lying on his legs. Heywood then gets to his knees over Josh, who rolls onto his back and brings his legs up - knees up and and feet on the ground. The "knee to the stomach" is Josh moving his right leg from left to right across Heywood as he was rolling onto his back. Even if Josh was trying a "get off me" type action, his positioning didn't allow any significant force that I could see.. Just a big nothingburger play after the whistle as far as I'm concerned

The Bills are the poster boys for being Bipolar (no disrespect for those with this serious condition). They are reasonably competent at both running and throwing the ball, and yes, they can play with and beat anyone when both are working. And the Defense is not as bad as the pundits want to spin it; overall, it is on the uptick over the last three games. BUT HERE IS THE KEY: We can beat anyone and everyone if we do NOT TURN THE BALL OVER! And the opposite is true as well (i.e., Atlanta, Miami, NE). So, can they go undefeated? Yes! Will they? I think we win four of the last five games and enter as the 5th seed.
