DeSantis Suggests Alternative for Musk to Focus His Resources Instead of New Political Party By Mike Miller Elon Musk, declaring the two-party system in America is broken, wasted little time after President Donald Trump on Friday signed his formerly named "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" — a historic, $3.3 trillion spending bill — into law. Musk took to X on Saturday to announce his creation of the "America Party," which he said was a direct response to what he called America's "one-party system, not a democracy." The multibillionaire tech mogul made the announcement after he posted an Independence Day poll on X in which he asked voters if they wanted freedom from the "two-party (some would say uniparty) system." With over 1.2 million votes cast — 65.4 percent of respondents said "yes" — Musk posted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is not only among those who question the wisdom of creating a third party; he also suggests what he believes is a better alternative for Musk to focus on if he remains engaged in the political arena: The problem is, when you do another party, especially if you're running on some of the issues that [Musk] talks about, that would end up — if he funds Senate candidates and House candidates in competitive races — that would likely end up meaning the Democrats would win all of the competitive Senate and House races, so ... I don't want to see that happen. DeSantis then suggested what he considers a better alternative for Musk: I think if you want to get involved and hold accountable, you know we do have a problem in the Republican Party with these D.C. congressmen — they always run saying there's out-of-control spending and they're gonna spend less, but they never do it. DeSantis said he believes Musk could have a “monumental impact” by championing two causes that the former DOGE overseer has continually said are important to him: a balanced budget amendment and term limits for members of Congress. “As it is now," DeSantis explained, "even if somehow a third party could elect some people that were so-called fiscal conservative, I don’t think it would even move the needle, even if they got elected. And we know that they wouldn’t get elected because it’s really one of two parties.” https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2025/07/07/desantis-suggests-a-better-place-for-musk-to-focus-his-resources-than-on-a-new-political-party-n2191347

Affordable Care Act or Obamacare
B-Man replied to Another Fan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Thanks, Obama! Turns Out the 'Affordable Care Act' Made Healthcare MORE EXPENSIVE Than Food, Housing Amy Curtis We had to pass Obamacare in 2010 because it was the only thing that would stop healthcare costs from spiraling out of control. Except it didn't. Now, Americans spend more on healthcare than housing and food. {snip} These two things are related: whenever the government subsidizes something, it gets more expensive. Just like education. Men -- single men -- were required to buy insurance plans with maternity coverage so they could pay for some woman's OB-GYN. Because 'fairness' or something. https://twitchy.com/amy-curtis/2025/07/07/ag-hamilton-obamacare-federal-healthcare-spending-n2415328 -
It’s a temporary injunction lasting just 14 days while the court determines if the law is an unconstitutional bill of attainder. Without weighing in on the merits of the claim, there are two important things that make sense here unless you’re in the cult: 1. The Constitution prevails over laws 2. Temporarily pausing the enforcement of a provision of a law for two weeks to determine if the provision is unconstitutional makes more sense than allowing enforcement that causes permanent harm even if the provision is later determined to be unconstitutional. Or, you know, hurr durr deep state or whatever.

What do you think Ralph Wilson would think of these Bills?
JohnNord replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
He would think that Terry is spending too much money and giving too much authority to his HC and GM. Ralph was not a very good owner for the majority of the time when I followed the football team . This is so true. If he did happen to luck into McDermott like Pegula did, he never would’ve given him the authority to make changes to fix the culture and eliminate the problems. -

Damn - my friends parents live in the same community. Was hoping to visit and then "bump" into him (some might call it rubbing up on him - tomato/tomatoe) at the clubhouse. My wife and I are gonna do an overnight in Lake Tahoe Wed and Thurs to do a little rafting and just an overnight trip for my bday away from the kiddos. And Josh is playing in a golf tournament there this week, so she surprised me with tickets to the practice rounds to see if we can "bump" into him or meet him and maybe get a pic or another autograph for my wall. She's the best -

If we were fully healthy at the end of the season dude , yes we have enough Like I've played coach and scouted for 30 years I'm not a big excuse guy. yet the Buffalo Bills had 12 players on the injury report going against Kansas City 8 on defense... Yes that actually is a massive problem in a win or take all game.. with Christian Benford and Taylor rapp yes I think we win the game There's been like 4 seasons almost where we are destroyed on defense it'd be one thing if we were missing one player or two players were banged up.. we go into January with eight guys banged up on defense and that is too much to overcome Even if we went to the super bowl against the eagles our offensive line would have kept us in a much closer game because Josh Allen would not be running for his life all day.. our offensive line would have kept us way closer than the Chiefs But having eight guys dinged up versus Patrick mahomes is never a recipe for success.. that's why winning a super bowl takes as much luck as skill Because if we could get into deep January with only two defensive players banged up yes I think we're going to win it all Winning a super bowl takes as much luck as it does team talent because so many crazy things happen between January and February and that is the truth I think it's 100% a different game with a healthy Christian Benford and a healthy Taylor rapp the entire game.. who was our best safety the whole year
