My friend just text me and said her wife (who is a C-Suite exac at the Wonderful Company for pistachios) is on a plane with Allen right now and sent me a selfie they just took. They partnered with him and his family recently, so they are traveling together related to the deal and on a private jet together and sending me selfies. My friend is a big Jets fan and her wife (the exec with him) is by default even though she isn't into football like my friend is. My friend told her to tell him "Go JETS!" So I sent her wife this pic and said from when I just saw him at the ACC in Lake Tahoe and said to give him my number and tell him that him and I should be friends - we like the same team, shows, movies, sports, and games đ I mean he's gotta call right? For sure he's calling...right? hahaha

Where does Khalil Shakir rank in terms of NFL WRs?
Johnnycage46 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok gotcha...in that case I would say, outside the 1st round in a re-draft. Maybe middle-second round. -
Pretty interesting take factoring in their initial perceptions. Good take. đ

He did play 8 seasons That's still all along NFL career and a lot of hits

I know we signed Trey Teague - I think from Denver. IIRC, they signed him as a tackle and decided to move him to center, which meant that he had one of the higher contracts for centers in the league. Sorry - I'm just too lazy to look it all up, so I apologize if I'm full of sh!t. Not meaning to hijack the thread. Man, those were some BAD lines back then. (*shudders*).

Good news for you Leftnuts (although not for me because I don't care): Beef contributes significantly to "global greenhouse carbon emissions." Now America's fatties can do what they normally do when beef prices go up -- consume more chicken, pork or pizza. And I'm sad that the Climate Change Cult is benefiting. But, you win some you lose some. Beef production accounts for a significant portion of the U.S.'s carbon emissionsâ8-10 times more than chicken and up to 50 times more than beans. Methane produced by cattle digestion is particularly harmful, as it traps more heat than carbon dioxide, accelerating climate change. âWeâd hit one [food] that was like, 10 times more or 100 times more than anything else,â said Rose. âAnd invariably, that was beef.â The Environmental Impact of Beef Consumption

I think itâs the redraft version. Otherwise I think you start factoring in role on team, quality of playcaller, quality of QB, etc⌠Itâs really meant to be, âif teams could pick any guy, without having to worry about the contract because theyâre all the same, when would he be selected?â The point is to try to remove âsituationâ from the equation. -

Do you think they would have been doing that if they thought they could get more pass rush production from AJ?

I saw the sentiment expressed on social media in response to these lists that players' draft pedigree follows them into the league, and their pre-draft scouting reports do, too. That is, the people that vote on these lists are the same people scouting rookies and drafting players, and they often tend to stick to their priors. So, for instance, hypothetically: if they see a 1st round corner playing very well and a 7th round corner playing just as well, they're far more likely to give the 1st round player accolades, due to pre-existing bias, "take lock", name recognition, and draft pedigree. I'll also say this: Christian Benford tends to be pretty invisible as a corner. Invisible in a GOOD way, mind you. He doesn't make a ton of game changing plays or highlight reel interceptions. He also doesn't get thrown at a ton, because he's so good at what he does. He also wears #47, and yes, I think silly optics things like that matter. Sauce Gardner is another guy who is pretty invisible as a corner and doesn't have a ton of game changing plays or highlight reel interceptions, but he was drafted high, his name is "Sauce", and he wears number 1. What I'm saying is: Benford's draft slot, lack of visible and game changing plays, and even his odd jersey number all contribute, in my mind, to his lack of national recognition. I think he's going to need to make some big plays in visible moments more often if he ever wants to gain more national prominence. Even then, he's not likely to get as much shine on these type of lists as 1st round corners.
