Los Angeles under military attack

I know you don't call them what they are because you've swallowed your masters' narrative whole. I describe them using words that describe their presence here accurately. They broke the law entering the country, and they are thus here illegally. Now if we're talking actual immigrants, or those who entered this country according to the law, then I fully support those people being here. For me and most of the country the number of acceptable crimes committed by illegal aliens in the USA is zero. Since you want to make ridiculous comparisons to known risks people take every day that have nothing to do with THE LAW I'll ask you this: What's the number of acceptable murders, rapes, robberies etc. committed by illegal aliens in the USA for you? Or does it only matter when it hits close to home? Since this paper is about crime among immigrants I'm only left to assume that they are talking about the legal kind. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if lawful immigrants, who have been vetted and have gone through the legal immigration process, commit less crime. Now do illegal rate among the unvetted who entered the country by the millions over the last four years. -
Brady did a pretty solid job pressuring the boundary with Cook and Johnson, particularly against Detroit. That’s too much scheme and effort to be perpetually sustained though. Hopefully that Palmer, Coleman and Moore can make enough boundary plays early in the year to create space inside.

Yeah, that’s right, its stupid, 🤣

In fact I was just yesterday in the bushes over Lahaina Town. Good time.

It's right there in the injury report. He injured his back against the Rams in December. Missed two games, played the week after, limited snaps week 18 when we were resting folks. I dunno about you, but when I've injured my back, 4 weeks out is when it starts to improve from screaming at me constantly no matter what I do, to allowing me to sit politely in certain positions and stand politely, and only screaming at me when I go from one to the other. By 6 weeks out I can walk OK if I'm smooth and careful and the screaming my back does has improved to a sharp yelp or 3. Football players are a different breed, but I don't think you need a magnifying glass to connect the dots there.

How are people gonna jump to unconfirmed conclusions when you go and present facts and context, what a killjoy…, 🤣

So has the Thigh Doctor weighed in yet and put this speculation to bed?

As you say you are someone that supports LGBTQ and abortion stuff, this certainly seems an interesting position to take -
Going back and reading what I wrote, I see how it lends itself to your interpretation. I thought I'd been clearer that I thought he was washed by the end of last season. (I also thought that the Bills defense as a whole had a Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day, as shown by the 416 yds of offense the Bills gave up. That weren't all on Douglas.....). Anyway, we agree, Douglas was not playing well by the end of last season. But what were the options? Would you rather have seen Elam in the Ravens playoff game? My point was he went out there hurt back and all, took some angles that let him make tackles and did that clean field that won the game, so I, at least, put a bit of respect on him for that.

LOL! His exaggeration is amazing? There won’t be any more elections in the US? Trump will use the military to, what, shoot people for no reason? -
Map and List of Cities Hosting 'No Kings' Protest Against Trump on June 14 by Khalida Rahman "No Kings" rallies will be held in cities across the country to protest President Donald Trump and his policies on his birthday, June 14. The 50501 Movement (50 protests, 50 states, one movement) and other groups are protesting a military parade scheduled to take place in the nation's capital on June 14, coinciding with Trump's 79th birthday, the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary, and Flag Day. Multiple protests are being held in various cities in each state, but no events are being planned for Washington, D.C. Organizers say that a major march and rally will take place in Philadelphia https://www.newsweek.com/map-list-cities-protests-trump-june-14-2081284

Rasul definitely hit a wall if there wasn’t some unreleased injury. Plus, I think a lot of folks here are focusing on Dane Jackson’s performance away from the team more than his performance in McDermott’s scheme. He’s a serviceable backup on this squad. Tre I’m not so sure about. I’m honestly surprised they brought him back, but if he can be a coach on the field for these rookies during camp and the preseason there’s some hidden value.

U.S. - China agree on framework of trade deal
The Frankish Reich replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes, the WSJ is doing the best reporting on this now. On the opinion side of that same newspaper, this also strikes me as accurate: https://www.wsj.com/opinion/china-trade-talks-donald-trump-tariffs-f730f437?mod=hp_opin_pos_1 Developing an alternative supply will take years and require cooperation with allies because the U.S. can’t produce and process all the rare earths it needs. Japan has pitched a rare-earths alliance as part of tariff negotiations, and the Administration would be wise to expand such a partnership with other allies. This gets to the larger problem with Mr. Trump’s tariff strategy—that is, he doesn’t have one. His latest walk-back shows he can’t bully China as he tried to do in his first term. China has leverage of its own. A smarter trade strategy would be to work with allies as a united front to counter China’s predatory trade practices. Instead, Mr. Trump has used tariffs as an economic scatter-gun against friends as well as foes. This increases China’s leverage, and, like this week’s trade truce, that’s nothing to cheer about. -
Trump's 79th Birthday Parade

You can pen it in. And I wasn’t saying the right was going to kill anyone. I didn’t say the left would. But tensions are so high, some moron, on some side, will start something and violence will ensue. We’re sitting on a tinder box right now. And Drumpf saying he will arrest protesters (without that caveat of them being violent protesters; ya know, going against that pesky 1st amendment) isn’t helping. But there will be violence by either protesters or counter-protesters because people can’t ***** behave themselves. It’s a 💩 show. The whole thing. -

I don't call them illegal alien foreign invaders because that's not what I call them. You can call them whatever you want. I take it from your response they haven't directly impacted you either? I can also post a story about a shark attack or a plane crash. Should we no longer swim in the ocean or fly? It's statistically proven immigrants commit crimes at lower rates than US born citiczens. https://www.nber.org/papers/w31440 I'm not debating they should be here. I'm laughing at you over your outrage for something that you will never feel. -
I didnt know that he must be graduating early... not something a lot of 16 year olds can do... impressive!

Yea that is the point in the boundary thing. It's not an issue until it is. You can beat 75% of this league within minimal boundary threat. But when it comes to it against the best teams and the best coaches they are going to force you to beat them outside if they don't think you can. It's classic Belichick. I'm going to take away what you do well and make you beat me another way and if you do, fair play to you.

Your Mount Rushmore for bands from Buffalo
RichStadiumGuy replied to XXXtraAnchovies's topic in Off the Wall
Talas live at the Primitive Scene... aka Devils Rock. The last time I went there was to watch boxing matches! A very good friend of mine was the sound guy for Talas for a while and I used to get the opportunity of hanging out with "the guys" when I attended their gigs. There was also a place near Lockport that I can't remember the name of right now that they played at occasionally in the later part of the 70's. They were without a doubt one of the hottest local bands around at the time that's for sure! There was another band named "The Nightlife Pickers" for a while and then they shortened it to just "Nightlife" in the late 70's and early 80's that did a slew of gigs all around the Batavia area. All of the guys in that band were good friends of mine and we lucked out with their scheduling and got them to play at our wedding reception in the fall of 82. I'm fairly certain we must have bumped into one another likely more than once from reading a bunch of your posts concerning the Batavia area. -
I just *keep* hearing rave reviews about Elijah Moore. Obviously let's see what happens when the pads come on but it would be great if we had a major find

I'm still trying to remember if it was 'Edmunds' or 'Edmonds'. I still need to RSVP his invite for his high school graduation.
