The timing of this release makes it sound a bit mutual, no? After drafting Hunter, how does he see the field? Or just a pre June 1 decision that was made easier bc they drafted Hunter.

Shakir Palmer Coleman Kincaid Samuel Moore Knox If Coleman takes a leap this could be an extremely good corps, with so much versatility. I expect Coleman and Samuel to both take a big leap As a group, Palmer and Moore are MUCH better than Coop and Mack, so a group that averaged 30+ ppg only got better Really hoping same for Kincaid, he hasn't been close to living up his draft pick but we'll see how he progresses. Makes that Knox contract many on here have been upset with look alot better, Knox is very good. Anyway, I love the depth for WR/TE. So much versatility, they Quietly got better!!

Giants do make a lot of sense but I also don’t think Gabe is a WR3 or better on any team. Why not be the Hollins of this year while winning a SB. Hope he can play special teams though that’ll be the clincher.

I agree re. Moore. I got told by someone who was at that point still in the organisation Beane was heartbroken to let Gabe go and they suspected others had talked him out of paying him.

Cod was the best return man I can remember since McGhee? Seems like it. Thought he was a top 5-10 returner in league last year. Is Shenault in that realm, cause I cant picture it. Hed have to blow the doors off Cod in TC to win that job id imagine, cause if its close you bring back the familiar guy who played well. Am I missing on something?

Take the non- head cases off the list: Sanders and Wallace Add: Diontae Johnson and Martavius Bryant I'd add Plaxico didn't shake up the locker room, like Brown or Pickens. Steelers find talent, gotta give them thag, but they're the "all about me" WRs. Growing list recently. And their pick from Michigan LY, was just flat out lazy putting in the mental work.

Josh also has a great rapport with guys covering Gabe. If I were him I'd rather have a reduced role somewhere else than going back to your old team in a lesser role. Pittsburgh makes a lot of sense. Giants make a lot of sense if he wants to reconnect with Daboll.

I am hoping that Samuel proves all the doubters wrong. Really am pulling for him to come thru.

He’s worth bringing in to compete for WR 4 or 5. He’s a great blocker, known vertical threat and has rapport with Josh. I hate how many catchable balls he dropped but he’s not going to be asked to be the guy anymore. He’ll be behind Shakir for sure and most likely Coleman, Palmer and Moore as well. Samuel is whatever, gadget guy so why not if he’s cheap, which he will be. Better than MVS last year

Problem is there is no consistency with Gabe. The big games were great, but if he’s a no show in other games what’s the point? The negative outweighs the positive. The dropped balls, miscommunications and disappearing acts all add up.

They can keep it. I get enough football as it is.

McDermott loves him too. I don't think they'd have signed Moore if they knew Gabe was going to be released. They still might sign Gabe though.

I think Bishop is going to surprise people. He is another level of aggressiveness and athleticism, but it was a fraction off due to the training camp setbacks. When the light goes on, he has a chance to be our best DB. Not SS. DB. And I'm confident it will happen. He was getting better by the week.
