Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2

I think Walker will be good as a situational 3rd down pass rusher. He is much better moving forward from the snap and using his raw power to penetrate. That's what you saw on his rush at the end of the half. When he has to hold blocks or read the play before moving he gets pushed around. Having watched some all-22 clips now I'll say Sanders was better as a run defender last night than I gave him credit for. His pass rush snaps though were almost completely ineffective as I thought on my first watch. I'd like to see him on 3rd downs next to Oliver when defenses have to choose which one to double. -
Def: Jets Dolphins Saints Falcons Panthers Dolphins Browns Jets Probably: Bucs Steelers I’m predicting more than 10 wins, but the Pats now being led by Vrable will be tough games. Games against Bmore, KC, Cinci & Eagles are going to be our toughest games, thankfully they are all at home.

I understand, I have felt this way for a long time, though.

All 22 Clips from Bears Preseason game.

Moore getting open, as expected. Bishop got absolutely toasted on that touchdown. I hope for his sake he's still playing hurt. -
They're usually tougher than 11-14 of the teams they play every regular season, I don't see how this season would be any different. What a silly question.

If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...

BTW, Forrest did play 33 defensive snaps last night. -
Wrong sport and are you really saying the Dolphins have been a good team the last few years? If you think McD’s defense are formidable based on their performances against Miami….😆😆😆 Sklyer Thompson did score 31 against us, so there is that.
-
Dane Jackson, Codrington and Mike White I think played themselves to PS at best. Buffalo Joe is in all sorts of trouble. For as athletic and instinctive he is moving forward he is the opposite when moving backwards in pass defense. Dorian Williams is better at what Joe is good at. Seems like 2 deep is Benard, Milano, Williams and Shaq Thompson. Joe is now in the fight with Ulifossio and surprisingly Jenkins for a roster spot imo. Hamlin is a drop Zone saftey. I doubt the staff trusts Hancock more than him just yet. I think Hancock looks the most natural in the hybrid safety role that Hyde once played. His total feel for the scheme isn't quite there yet. But man he is coming.

Toyota Tacoma. Who's got one (or at least an opinion on them)
LeviF replied to Goin Breakdown's topic in Off the Wall
Typically extremely reliable vehicles, have had some issues in the last couple of model years causing them to slip in the various rankings and reviews a bit. If you don't mind being made fun of the newer Ridgelines haven't had many issues. Biggest downside to them is no 4WD but most people don't actually need their 4WD. Their loaded up price point is a bit lower than the Tacoma. -

I'm all for not overreacting over a preseason game. However, Hamlin was once again taking terrible angles, out of position, and sllllllow. He isnt showing any improvement in his game. He is what he is at this point. You would hope with his starting experience that he would of been someone to stand out amongst a group of rookies and backups, but he just proved once again that he's nothing more than a backup. -
I didn't say he was. I said he was dropped out of the first round, meaning that Beane could have moved up to pick him after he took Coleman. In hindsight, giving up the third to move up would have worked out, since Carter has disappointed so far. I would trade Bishop and Carter right now for DeJean, wouldn't you?
-
I’d keep Zion over Carter. He’s much better against the run. It’s not like Carter excels at Pass Rush
-
Just got done watching the game and whether he makes it or not, I liked what Gore Jr. put out there. All-22 showing that as well.

Good thread. Most people grade a draft after one season.

We could always give them a player who would have a negative impact! -

I thought Walker was OK, but otherwise I agree with you. Jackson, especially, looks rough. -
Bullock and Mustahpa look are the top there that we could have had at that pick. Bullard looks to be a potential stud. Tykee Smith looks to be an average starter at worst. Hicks showed some quality last season in rotational use, as did Evan Williams. Need Bishop to transform if he’s going to be the starter. He wasn’t awful but the return was less than what many of us expected/hoped for. Got faith he’ll get it right.
